  1. I haven't had the Isopure.
  2. I have to agree. I'm struggling today as well. My energy level is low and the headaches started today. I'm trying not to do anything strenuous so that I don't deplete any further. Getting control of the mind is a process. Take one hour at a time. Hang in there team. We are almost there. The gold medal is almost ours. Add some seasonings to your broth to help with the taste. I added a little Miss Dash for some flavor. I can't help you with the Protein drinks. I can't stand them. I'm like a little kid at the dinner table eating something i hate. i am gagging them down.
  3. Miasleever, May I encourage to continue to be positive and take this time to mentally prepare for the healthy new you. Enjoy your journey.
  4. Most doctors believe the liquid diet shrinks your liver and abdominal cavity. This is to help them in surgery. Also they say the protein assists in your recovery. It's not a bad idea if you decide to do it. It actually prepares your mind for post-op. Stay positive your new healthy you is only days away.
  5. I'm traveling the journey with you. This time next week I would have been sleeved too. I have been thinking about the surgery quite a bit. Im working hard at being positive and excited. I spent today learning how to sip in little quantities. Its awkward but I am going to keep working at it. I start the liquid diet in the morning. If you all can try to relax and envision your new healthy you. Take deep breaths and enjoy your journey.
  6. I'm getting Sleeved on the 31st. 10:30 am. Starting liquid regiment tomorrow.
  7. Congratulations! Your count down begins.
  8. I am nervous too. Its not a negative nervous. It's more of experiencing a place I have never been before. I have done all the classes. I have read the Do's and Dont's and read the advice of there. There is still that element of the unknown. Stay connected to your higher power. For me prayer is getting me through daily. I am 9 days away from my next chapter. Be encouraged. Take on moment at time.
  9. My surgery is scheduled for next week and they billing department informed the hospital stay alone is $13,000. I have not received any word on the doctor's bill yet. I had a $500 deductible (already met) and my co-insurance is $2,300. I believe my doctors bill will be covered at 100% because my out of pocket maximum is $2,500. It is insane the hospital charges for 1 day is $13,000. That is several 7 day vacations for.
  10. Congratulations!!! Much success to you.
  11. Congrats Brittaj! We can be team sleevers! Team Fabulous!

  16. I just received my date, May 31st!!!! I'm excited and nervous at the same time.
  17. I know you posted about a chewable. However, my nutritionist recommened nutrametrix multivitamin w/iron. It's a liquid vitamin and ok for lacto-ovo vegetarians. The website is nutrametrix.com. I hope this help.
  18. Today I had my EGD done. That was quite an experience. First the nurse had a hard time finding a vein for the iv. I got pricked 5 times. Then the surgeon comes in and finds a vein in my wrist. OMG. I sure hope when I have the surgery I will not have to be pricked so many times. Anyway after the iv ordeal they make you swallow this God forsaken liquid. I can't even describe the taste. After a few seconds I panicked because my throat became numb and I felt like I couldn't swallow. Luckily a few seconds after that I must have drifted off because the next think I remember is waking up in recovery. Has anyone else had have an EGD?
  19. I had my psyc eval last week, It went well. No weird questions or questionnaires She did however dig into my past a lot. I guess she needed to make sure I was ready for what I getting ready to embark on.
