  1. WARNING....THIS MAY BE TMI........

Need some input......I'm on day 1 of the clear diet protocol........and complete diarrhea......is anyone else having this?

I don't feel ill' date=' no temperature.......feels like when I did a colonoscopy.......everytime I drink, 5 minutes later I'm heading to the bathroom.....I'll call the dr's in the morning.....but wondering if anyone else is having this too.

    Thanks![/quote']

I had that problem too.. It's normal.. Because your basically cleaning out your system. Just keep hydrated and think of the goal!

    :-D

  2. Sounds like you may have found your culprit.....you need water/liquids....I'm typically the queen of dehydration...not only should you feel better' date=' the anesthesiologist will have an easier time getting the IV in if you are hydrated (I've had my veins dry up when having blood drawn--very scary).....I aim for 100 ounces of liquids per day during pre-op.

    Hope this helps. Good luck!

I think so too... Lol I'm going to drink and be sloshy.. Lol

It has, thank you very much!

  3. Hang in there. What brand of shakes are you drinking? Have you tried a different brand? How's your water' date=' are you drinking enough fluids? Ask your doctor if you can you switch a shake for an Isopure clear liquid....they're sort of like Gatorade....but Protein

    I've lost my appetite....for anything...it's a chore to get in that last meal....Good luck....we're here for ya![/quote']

Thank you for the support definitely needed! I'm going to call tomorrow to ask... I don't think it will be a problem. To be honest... I haven't done that good with the Water... Bc I'm afraid of getting sick. I have been doing the 3 whey Protein Shakes and that's it...And maybe a sf Jello. I know... It's bad..

  4. I am on day 6 of pre-op diet......It is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be...I was miserable the first few days....I am allowed 3 carnation instant with simply smart milk' date=' 1 small serving of fruit a day, 1 yogurt or ff ss pudding, Popsicles, and Jello...bought the variety pack of shakes but I only like the chocolate...to top it all off..it is that time of the month and I am backed up (tmi sorry)....anyone else having issues?[/quote']

Omg me too! The aunt flow visiting right now doesn't help.. I want to cry.. I feel like I'm going to **** my pants and throw up all at once... The Protein shakes are making me sick..

  5. Cool! What brand of Protein are you using? I need to buy some sf Jello & Popsicles too... Did t think of that! Probably would help with cravings :)

It's whey Protein by body fortress I got it at Walmart they were only 16 bucks for a 31oz jar. I mix the chocolate with 8oz of coffee in the morning with sf hazelnut creamer.. It's like a cafe mocha. And then I make a iced one in the afternoon.

    :-)

  6. Hi' date='

I was wondering how much weight you all lost during your liquid pre op diet? My insurance does not require one but they do require me to loose about 15 pounds and I've only lost 5. I have an upcoming appointment with the surgeon in a month & thought that I could do a liquid diet 2 weeks prior to that appt to hopefully shed the last 10 pounds...

    Any thoughts or recommendations?

I've been trying my best to eat healthier and use myfitnrsspal and I walk/hike at least 2-3 times per week. But it seems like I'm just maintaining my current weight, I'll loose a pound then the following week gain the same pound back.... It's frustrating.

I just bought me the Isopure powder Protein.

It is day 2 of my liver reduction diet. I'm finding it very easy. I'm full and not craving. I have 3 Protein shakes a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner). I then have sugar free Jello, and sugar free Popsicles, and my chicken and beef bullion. Then I have a half of cup of a green vegetable.

I lost 1lb since Friday. Not bad for day 2..

    Hope this helps.

    :-)

  7. I have a high BMI but a lot of your BMI is calculated based on your height. I'm 5 foot even and I'm 229 and big boned that puts me at a 45 BMI. I really hate how they haven't changed it to match how someone is built. It says that my healthy weight is 115 and I'm fearful that I would look very sick considering I'm big boned and have quite a bit of muscle. :)

In regards to your question I to am curious if ill be a slow loser. I pray I'm not!!

Hi! I'm the same build... I have been active and called "big boned" all my life.. I am 5'4 245 lbs and I'm scared and nervous I'll have loose skin.. But I also think being big boned will help... Please let me know my surgery date is August 6th! :-D

    Thank you for the input!
