  1. I'm 6 months post op. Not sure how I would rate my experience with him. The group is still there but not sure I want to stay there or try to follow him. Thinking I want to try someone new or no one at all. I really would like a good support group. I never went to St. Francis for theirs, since I'm over an hour away (live in northeast CT), and it was only for 45 min once a month.

  2. "This morning my boyfriend said I think you are depressed. I looked at him and said, well my best friend has been limited/taken away from me.I can't stuff myself to numbness. food has been my best friend, my solace,my reward,my emotional rescue. So now what do I do? "

This hits the nail on the head. food had always been there when no one else was. It celebrated with me, mourned with me, and comforted me. I miss it....but I am glad I found the sleeve, working on it being my new best friend (surgery date 5/28).

  3. I was sleeved May 28th, as well. As of today, down 45.6 lbs since surgery and 70.4 since I started in October. Decided to give myself something to look forward to, I signed up for the Warrior Dash in September. I've been having a hard time exercising, so that is my motivation.

Although it's been difficult to get the Protein and liquids in each day, I don't regret my decision. Happy sleeving!! :D

  4. I was sleeved on the 28th as well. Barely getting 20 ounces of Water in and not getting anywhere near the Protein that I need. Feeling dizzy today and not great at all.

Are you keeping track using any kind of spreadsheet? That helps me. Dr's orders for me are 24oz of protein fit into at least 16 oz of anything else. My spreadsheet is split by day, then by hour, in 15min increments. Pretty much every 15 min, I should be sipping on something (or Jello, sf popsicles etc), except sleeping. I try to get 20 ounces in before 2pm and 20 oz after 2pm. I was also sleeved on the 28th.

  5. Just had surgery yesterday somebody please tell me this gets better I can't keep anything down and still feeling nausea. They are keeping me in the hospital tonight.

It does get better. I was sleeved on the 28th, and the first day was horrible. I stayed overnight from Tues to Wed. However, as soon as I was at my home, things were/are better. Tomorrow, I get 8oz of Protein to fit in to the daily routine of Clear Liquids.< /p>

  6. June 7th for me' date=' and that feels too far away! My doc isn't putting me on a liquid diet prior to the surgery, but DOES ask that I do a low-carb (no more than 50/day) diet for 10 days prior to surgery to help shrink my liver, allowing easier access to my stomach.

After gaining all but 30 pounds back from the 100+ I lost with my horribly slipped LapBand (removed in March 2013), I'm STOKED and so ready for this journey![/quote']

June 7th here, too. I go for the preop this Friday.
