I'm here to help...
Oh...homegrown sweet corn!! sounds wonderful. Think we'll be in by 3 pm... early enough not to be stressed out. And DH has the TV all figured out, so that should go up quick. He can't handle not having the news recorded so he can watch it when he's ready. With everything that convenient... might be able to negotiate dinner! Yeah, he doesn't deal well with having to drive too far off our route for RV parks. So I try to pick those that are close to our highway. Super Walmart.... that's great! We just need a few groceries. We'll stop there first.

UGH... You had to tell my it was pork ribs and sauerkraut!! One of my favorites!! We both LOVE sauerkraut and pork. Probably should have just planned to park at your house instead of here. But yesterday was so stressful and hoped to keep it simple for Earl today! And he wanted to get that DirecTV working for the rest of the trip. So.. oh, well. Next time. And... wanted to have Earl take some photos and I forgot!! He is off to the pool now and he will really enjoy that!

Glad you had a good visit with your folks, and super birthday celebration with your Mom!! Always enjoy your pics!! Janet... accidentally erased your post so don't know what I was going to respond to!! LOL! But... Earl was very apologetic and remorseful this morning, about his behavior yesterday!! Yeah! He was a real jerk!! Everything so much better today. QUOTE=Mrs. Bubba;1511186]I just talked to Phyll on the phone.... they are about 200 miles away from Bismarck..... they are having a bad time and Phyll isn't feeling any better..... I will go to Bismarck to meet them... not a problem at all..... Well, the posts since I last read have been a little more upbeat.... that's good to hear... Hope all are doing fine... I am waiting to hear from Apples, too... We need to know how she is.... She is just like that old watch commercial..... she takes a licking and goes on ticking........ Gosh I hope this is the end of her woes.... I must now go rethink my day.... had planned on Phyll being here later, so put supper in the crock pot... DH will have plenty to chew on for a few days.....Take care girls.... Be back later with a report on our meeting.... Julie Probably messed up passing up that crock pot dinner!! Should have planned to just go to their place and park! But yesterday was so stressful, and Earl had a lot of things to deal with today, too... mostly DirecTV setup. So... he couldn't deal with too much until it was resolved. And tired after a long day of driving! This place cost us $44!! Pretty high for RV park!! But... very nice visit with Julie while DH was working on the satellite setup! Finally got it all worked out and now he is a happy camper! He was having Fox News withdrawal! Now we have our east and west coast feeds all set up so we can record news, etc. And he fixed us a delicious spaghetti dinner in about 20 minutes! Yeah, he was dealing with the frustrations much better today. He knew he pushed me to the limit yesterday!! Pretty frustrating stuff!! And annoying! Hope they give you some right answers soon!! Dry camping... no hook ups.. no electric, sewer, water... no nothing... just use your generator and suck it up!! I remembered what I was going to tell you... DD#1, SIL, grandkids and their "significant others" flying to Hawaii on Saturday for a week and I think they are going to Maui too! DirecTV would not set up last night and had to move to overflow space today to get a satellite signal! Julie got to experience the setup!! It is working now... two receivers working, east and west coast feeds. Happy day! No more Fox News withdrawal for DH!!! Hooray!! Yes... we are really "roughing it" in our RV!! HAHAHAHA!! Just ask Julie how tough it is! She had to tolerate me playing with my puppy, who was needing to release some serious pent up energy!! Had to throw her toys down the hall over and over and over and over!! Now she is outside for a walk with DH. Well, glad you got some answers as to what was going on with your arm!! looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. You and your nuggets!!! LOL Lets get one thing straight here... LOL!! I AM IN CHARGE of navigation!! That's what got me in to all that trouble yesterday. I did my very best and it wasn't good enough! If I am in charge of navigation, then DH gets to blame any snafus on ME!! What a deal! tomorrow.So.... I planned to stop at some place called Sinclair City park or some such thing. But when Julie told me you were going to be in Alexandria tomorrow, I plugged it in to my MS Streets & Trips and found out it is exactly 297 miles from where we are here in Bismarck! After yesterdays fiasco... I made up my mind we are going NO FURTHER THAN 300 MILES A DAY. sO.. aLEXANDRIA IS PERFECT! So then I found an RV park there and that's where we will be about 3pm!.... Alexandria Shooting and RV park!! Should I be nervous about the "Shooting" part of that??? LOL! Nothing on the website about a shooting range or anything, so not sure what that is all about! At any rate... will look forward to seeing you there! Hoot!! Uh, oh... Zoey is about to get a bath in the kitchen sink... her first RV bath! She was out running around with DH meeting horses and playing ball and trying to expend some of her pent up energy and she is now filthy!! I picked a pure white dog!!@ Prepare yourself for lots of puppy kisses... ears, neck, face!! She shocked Julie (and me) by jumping from where she was on the couch with me, into Julie's lap. Julie was sitting in Earl's recliner on the other side of the RV. Shocked me because she is such a whimp!! She won't go up and down steps and usually won't jump off my lap! But she wanted to plant some kisses so bad!! Oh.... we are having Walmart Withdrawal too!! Is there a Walmart in Alexandria???? We need some things!! Like... Lite Creamed cheese, Earl's favorite boxed wine, etc.! Groceries have some gaps! Need stuff!

I'm here to help...
Trying to speed read through three pages of posts, so missed a lot, but have to get to sleep!! And working on route for rest of trip. Today did NOT go well. Trouble finding an RV park.... Julie.. we are in Forsyth MT about 320 miles from Bismarck. Plan is to stay at KOA in Bismarck. Can't talk DH in to driving 36 miles off the interstate! And he is in a bad mood after the troubles we had today. And I am ready for him to unhitch the car, let me go on alone and he can take the crabby old cat and go home or whatever!! LOL! Zoey and I can go it alone!! It wasn't that big a deal... we did find three campgrounds with no hookups, but he refuses to dry camp, so we kept on driving until we found this place. Then he couldn't get a signal on the DirecTV satellite dish and that ticked him off too! It was NOT a very good day!! It was very slow going over the mountains today, too. Hope we can make better time tomorrow. But I think 300 miles will take us until at least 3 pm. I don't have a plan!! Can you drive down to Bismarck... or maybe meet somewhere in between?? Hate to ask you to do that with all the pain you are having. And I can relate because my hip and leg have been driving me nuts today... So frustrating not to be able to walk across the street to get a cup of coffee wihtout being miserable. And numbness is gone past just my foot up the back of my leg.. as pain is going down my butt into the back of my knee. Trying to do stretches as often as possible and getting out to walk around as much as I can about every 2 hours! But hoping we can work out something for tomorrow. And... don't know where Apples is, but we'll be going through Minnesota the next day.. on I-94, cutting down towards Madison WI.. next stop after Minnesota. Pray for us that things start going better.... and PATIENCE for DH!!! And for me... cuz I might strangle him.... or take off in the car!! LOL Lori... was going to tell you something but now can't remember what it was!!!

Enjoying reading your posts. On the road in our RV traveling from our home in WA to NY state for family wedding. LONG drive, lots of frustrations, but so far weather is good.

Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
Slowly but surely getting the phone figured out. Camera still not working, so I'll have to take it to an AT&T store as soon as I get a chance. There's a Costco right down the block from where we are tonight but Earl was too tired to stop. Bill is supposed to actually go down $5 a month. Zoey and Candy are doing great so far. Do you get any break this summer?? You're always working so hard!!

There's an app called doubletwist that is supposed to allow you to sync with iTunes. Still haven't figured it out. Downloaded a bunch of stuff tonight including some games. Adorable photos of you and your GD!! Love it! Sorry about your dog. Hope everything turns out okay! Hugs!

It is a bit confusing!! Janet, Jodi, Judy, Jessica (AKA Jewel), Joyce, Julie!!??? Am I missing any "J's"??? and we can't forget the JAPS!! LOL Mortified??? OMG... I'm mortified every day... and in awe of your thoroughness!! I just speed read thorugh all the posts so I could hurry up and post something. House is all packed up and waiting for DH to get back from DD#1's house where he is unloading stuff and making sure the refrigerator/freezer are cold enough to load the refrigerator stuff. So when he gets back.. he'll be unloading our refrig, I'll grab all my last minute stuff and we're headed to the RV to sleep there tonight. So... I've set up streets & trips so it routes us through ND. If DH is agreeable to driving 36 miles off the interstate, we'll probably park at your place.. and if the times jive with our schedule. I show us getting to Bismarck about 2pm on Tuesday, but that usually has to be tweaked depending on what kind of time we're making. At any rate, I will keep you posted on our progress and let you know what the plan is. At the very least... will meet you for coffee! Is there a Starbucks in Bismarck?? Apples wanted to be included... so can someone be my go-between on that?? I don't know what kind of internet access or phone coverage I'll have on the road... usually pretty good, but can't depend on it! And I know she is at the lake again and don't remember when she's coming back or when the next dental appt or dr. appt is. Did the MRI her hand/wrist yet??? From there we'll go to Minnesota. Wonder if it'd be practical to go from Bismarck to Brainerd Minnesota... Should check that out. Old high school friend lives there, but if my memory is correct, it's qite a bit north of the interstate. So very sorry, Eva! How terrible... and heartbreaking! I have no more time, guys!! Sorry! One problem... I bought a new phone last night. Stupid to do that one day before leaving on a trip. If I'd just bought a new Blackberry, I'd be happy as a clam. But the guy persuaded me that this Android phone... Samsung Captivate... was so superior. So I got it. Now I've spent the last day trying to figure it out. I couldn't even figure out how to answer it when it rang!! And I spent a long time at the store last night and at least another hour today being coached. I still can't get it to sync with iTunes... my music, etc., or with Outlook...my calendar. It has all my contacts because I imported them to Google first. But I can't get Google Calendar to import the Outlook calendar, so I can't get my calendar on my phone! This is critical. My Blackberry has been my brains... especially when it comes to keeping my contacts up to date, and my appointments.. Pt, Dr., etc... everything goes in my Blackberry calendar and syncs to Outlook so I get reminders everywhere!! Remember my favorite excuse..... "I'm old and I forget stuff!!"" LOL! HELP!!

Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
Is St. Mary's near Steph?? If you drop your book in the cat water you can dry it out. If you drop your nook in the cat water it is DEAD!! LOL! I sometimes read books on my iTouch. Small screen, but it doesn't bother me. And it's easy to hold in bed and don't need a book light!! Sorry you had a bad night! Hope things are looking up today! My food was great until afternoon! Small omelet, few bites of shrimp cocktail which I then dumped down the garbage disposal because the shrimp didn't taste right. But... then we met Tracy & Jim at Anthony's Homeport! Had 2 Cosmos, some crab dip, 1/2 cup chowder... not sure after the cosmos, but think I gave 1/2 of it to Earl because I wanted to leave room for my dinner!! Then I had smoked salmon fettuccine... ate 1/2, brought the rest home. I had 1 slice of bread, too. And then I got that delicious burnt cream! Yikes! Too many calories... but.... farewell dinner! And won't get to celebrate our anniversary until at least 2 weeks after the fact!! We are going to have lunch or dinner at the top of the Seagram Tower in Niagara Falls while we're home. We spent our wedding night in a hole in the wall "notel" in Niagara Falls Canada because the groom didn't think he'd need hotel reservations on a Saturday night in the middle of summer in Niagara Falls!! LOL Got a new phone last night and afraid to tell the man!! I told him I was "thinking" about it and he went on and on about how there was nothing wrong with my Blackberry!! So I went and got it anyways... When he figures it out I'm telling him it's my anniversary present!! It's a Samsung Captivate and I am having trouble figuring it out. I want it to sync my contacts and calendar and I can't get it to do that so I am somewhat frustrated. Kiosk guy told me if I come back to Target today he'll coach me and set some things up for me. So I have to do that later.. but first I have to do the things I promised... finish packing my jewelry and cosmetics and all my last minute stuff!! So... I have to go get in the shower!!

Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
Prison escapee from AZ. Two have been recaptured but one more and his girlfriend still on the run. Reported sighting in St. Mary MT yesterday. Had some pain this morning so took the muscle relaxant and pain pill again. Now I feel like a slug. Have PT in an hour. Promised I'd finish all my packing today.... cosmetics, jewelry, electronics and miscellaneous! It will be a challenge with no energy. But I will do it. Then, if the sun really comes out as promised, may go to Anthony's Homeport with Tracy and Jim about 4pm. Last day of packing. Tomorrow... only last minute stuff, then clean the condo, then sleep in the RV at Tracy & Jim's tomorrow night to get an early start on Saturday. Probably won't go much further than the Idaho border the first day.

Yes, I think that is the hospital he is at. Not sure where they were looking. Will know more when I see my sister later this month. And my youngest sister is planning a baby shower for them even though they wont be there. I think she's planning on using Skype to connect with them that night. I-90 goes through N. Dakota... hoping I might be able to connect up with Julie and/or Apples for a short visit. I think we cut south to I-94--- maybe around Fargo... as we are making a stop in Madison WI..... if our friend there promises to call off the mosquitoes before we get there!! LOL! Last time we stopped to see her they almost carried us away and she says they're now holding her hostage in her house!

Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
Sorry about your migraine! Hope it's better tonight. My back/hip is feeling better today and I just walked around the condo complex again. Started hurting again halfway around, but not intolerable. Seems to be helping to take the pain pill and muscle relaxant twice a day... just one of each. May start taking some Ibuprofen for the inflammation. And think I might see if the therapist will let me ride the incumbent bike for a few minutes tomorrow when I go to PT. Funny... I asked Earl to walk her around another time when I got back, but she won't walk with him unless I go too!! I watched him try to walk her down the sidwalk and I thought I'd fall out of my chair laughing. It was hysterical. She just plants her feet and won't move. Earl tries to drag her and she is just NOT going with him! He does have her out on the lawn now playing ball with her and one of the neighborhood cats is trying to get in on it... That would be "Hilo". He seems to enjoy playing with her, but he's the only cat out there who will. I got some cute pictures of the two of them a couple of weeks ago. But we have to wear her out at night or she drives us nuts! She was racing around here chasing her big ball last night... It's a big red ball that Candice bought her when she was here. She had it all the way back in our bathroom... But then we don't know what she did with it... can't find it tonight! It's gotta be back there somewhere... but you know men... can't find anything. He just put the ice bag on my back so... I'll go find it later. Been thinking about you today Steph... Told Earl those fugitives are thought to be somewhere along the Montana/Canada border! Be careful! Hope you're not going to be out by yourself in the RV this week!! And hoping they catch them soon.

I'm here to help...
Hugs to you, Lady!! You have had SO much to deal with lately!! Hope they figure out what is going on with the arm. It is so good to see that green bold print again!! I want to thank everyone, too, for all the kind thoughts and well wishes! It is frustrating that we are not going to be here long enough to pursue what is going on with my back, but I will tend to it when we get to CA if I'm still having problems. I am reluctant to start with chiro... never have done that. I do think an MRI is probably the thing to do if this continues. But... on the other hand, I'm feeling a lot better today. I have been taking 1 muscle relaxant and one tylenol w/codeine when I get up in the morning and an hour or so before bed. It has not made a big difference in my comfort during hte night, but it definitely has in the daytime. Last night I was able to walk the condo loop for the first time in 10 days and I'm going to do it again in the next 1/2 hr or so. So... things are definitely looking up. HAHA!! Okay, Cougar!! Nice work!! LOL! Very cute that you didn't figure out he was hitting on you!! Love it! Feeling so much better today I may ask the therapist if I can try the recumbent bike when I go for my PT tomorrow. Great.... keep forgetting to tell you this... nephew just finished training and is pediatric neurologist. Started new job at hospital in Salt Lake City.. Children's maybe?? Anyway, he and his wife were there house hunting a month or so ago and went home discouraged because they couldn't find anything a reasonable distance from the hospital that they could afford. So I guess he is looking for a rental for the time being. In the meantime, his very pregnant wife is in the San Francisco area waiting to join him. They are having TWINS in October! My sister is SO excited... her first grandchildren.. and TWINS!! Packing is going well. I plan to finish tomorrow. Friday will be last minute things and cleaning the house. Then we'll sleep in the RV Friday night at our daughter and son-in-law's. Hit the road Saturday morning. I am already begging for one last trip to my favorite latte place, Surf Shack, Saturday morning before we leave! Listened to whining about how hard to pull the RV in to that parking lot. But I reminded DH that when we went "camping" last month... he pulled in to the Safeway shopping center parking lot right next to it and I went through a hole in the fence!! HAHAHA!! SO... he may cave in! Hope to make it to Idaho border the first day. We don't like to do more than 300 miles a day. Julie... I think I figured out we'd be in ND the 4th day... which would be Tuesday... but I'll look over the map again and let you know. Julie... I'll repeat my favorite line... I'm old and I forget stuff!! so>>>>>> did you send me that list of names/addresses/ phone #s?? I noticed I have no address for you. Anyone along I-90 have room for us to park at your house overnight??? LOL!

Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
Took pain pills yesterday.... one in the morning and one at bedtime, and the muscle relaxer, too...but just one instead of the two I'd been taking. So I didn't feel like too much of a zombie and I actually was able to walk the dog around the comdo loop once. Neighbor that lives halfway around came out as I was going by and she was actually headed over here to my next door neighbor's, so she walked with me and we chatted and that took my mind off the pain... which is mostly in the left hip now. Moves around! And my left foot is still all tingly. But....walking is progress. And it was after dinner, so the pain pill had to be pretty much out of my system by then... almost 12 hrs after I took it. Ya know... I actually DO get that! I have some similar tendencies! Do it all... or do nothing because its too overwhelming. I have several tasks I've been putting off for days! Candice... where are you??? Karla... so sorry about the Koi! Linda....??? Come back! We miss you! Karri????? Who am I missing?? Gotta go... want to make an appearance at Primetimers today so we can say goodbye for the winter, so I need to go get in the shower!

Jewel.... often the local "Y", or day care centers have an after school program. Definitely look in to it. Maybe there are private in home child care places in your neighborhood. I know that is a scary thought, but it will just take checking people out and asking around. Our oldest daughter did day care in her home for quite a few years and she was the BEST! If you could find someone like her it would be GREAT! Kids she took care of are now grown up.... early 20's.. .some of whom she had as infants and toddlers and they still keep in touch! So... just saying.... some moms are in it because they truly love kids. I've had to resort to taking the stupid pain pills and muscle relaxers for my back because the pain is not going away and I have to be able to function! We are in the final stages of packing our RV for the winter and leave in a few days. We will be on the road for 6 weeks before we get to our winter getaway down near Janet. Enjoying all your posts.... but gotta go get in the shower .... and I'm no good at remembering stuff to respond to!! Poor excuse. Sorry!

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot
WELCOME, BAND-PAL!! WOW!! Fantastic success story! I am 3 yrs post-op and down about 125 lb. However, I am at a standstill right now.... hovering around the 200 lb mark and I want to lose another 50 lb. Exercise is a difficult discipline, but so worth it. Walking is a challenge for me... knee replacement last summer has made it easier, but... arthritis in other places sometimes keeps me from it. A back issue has me stalled right now, but prior to an accident a couple of weeks ago, I was trying to walk about a mile a day in addition to other exercise. I joined a nearby gym this summer and was using various weight machines I'd been coached on as well as recumbent bike until this little setback. I'll be back at it soon. So good to have you join us. Our daughter and son-in-law had the same experience while visiting Italy... they were on a cruise, but spent time in Venice before and after, as well as extra time in Rome and London. They said they really didn't watch what they ate and were afraid they were gaining weight while on this 3 week vacation. They were pleasantly surprised to find they'd actually both lost weight and they, too, attributed it to all the walking they did. Good luck to you, Maggie. I, too, am anxious to get back to my normal routine when I get past this back problem I have right now.

I like the bangs, Janet!! We will be in CA towards the end of Sept. Didn't realize I hadn't posted yesterday. I did read all the posts. Pain is getting so discouraging, I just don't feel like chatting sometimes! Had TOPS yesterday morning. I was down 2 1/2 lb, but still a little over 200 and that's discouraging, too. I had PT yesterday, too. And Tracy & Jim stopped over with Gigi for a short visit. All in all, I just don't know where the day went! Took Zoey to TOPS and to PT.. our son & DIL are right... we've turned in to crazy old people who take their dog everywhere!! LOL! Took her red bag both times and just put her in there when I got there. Weighed her at TOPS... just held her and weighed myself again. She was wiggly, but we figured she weighed 6 1/2 lb!! She was 5 lb 5 oz when she had her surgery last month! Doesn't look like she's gained that much, but maybe! She's still very tiny so I'm not worried about it. She is probably getting too many treats! Very busy packing, too. Pulled a lot of stuff out of my closet yesterday so clothes are almost done and Earl says RV closet is pretty full. Today I have to go through my electronic stuff.. chargers, etc. and sort through my TOPS bags. Also, jewelry and cosmetics. I just took a muscle relaxer and a Tylenol w/codeine so I can cooperate with all that Earl wants me to do today! I haven't taken any of those pain pills in several days because I don't like feeling like I am in LALA land!! No reflection on you Janet!! HAHA!! So frustrated that PT has to be so passive right now... ultrasound massage, Elec. stim, ice and some stretches. They worked on me for an hour yesterday. I want to be in the pool and on the bike and doing my usual stuff but I can't! I don't understand why this pain won't go away. When I had it before it was only for a day or two. See... all I do is whine, so... should just read!! Oh, dear... here comes the woe is me tears!! Later, chicks!

I'm here to help...
I would think those shoes would be dangerous to walk/run on. They did a piece on them on the news tonight, but I wasn't really paying close attention. I have a LOT of purses, but tend to stick with my favorites. One favorite is a navy blue kind of a parachute nylon fabric purse that I bought at the QVC store at mall of America 2 years ago. It's a "Travel...." something or other and I liked all the organizer pockets/zippers, etc. But then last winter at the street fair in Palm Springs area I found a "Bagellini" that is my new favorite. But I use my Coach purses from time to time, and sometimes change to something fancier if we're going out somewhere special. I like the cross body styles the past few years. :Like your purse philosophy, too! I get in trouble if I buy a new purse and then don't use it! But every now and then you make a bad choice... buy something and then once you start using it find out you don't really like it for one reason or another! You didn't tell Gwen how close together you had your two knee surgeries! After my knee surgery last August, I had at home PT for several weeks before they sent me to outpatient. But they didn't offer me inpatient rehab. I had surgery on a Tuesday morning and went home on Friday. Nurses came twice a week for several weeks, too. She would check my vitals and my incision and took the staples out when it was time. Yikes---- bills.. yes, I have to pay some bills before we leave on Saturday, not to mention make calls to shut off paper service, forward mail, put phone, cable and internet on "vacation" status!! YUCK!! Hate the hassle of those phone calls!

Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
I saw you sign on Skype but didn't see a call request. No time to go to Seattle Chiro clinic... leaving on Saturday and too much to do between now and then. Finish packing, etc. Have to go to TOPS in the morning because we need to pick up our "travel" charts. Need to find time to go down and say goodbye to Jodie, Al and kids, too. I haven't been told how many pairs of shoes I can take... just groaning about how many I put in the outgoing basket today! Planning to leave Saturday morning. Hope to make it to the WA/ID state line the first day.

We were posting at the same time!! You are SO bad!! Glad you had a good time!! Shame on you for all that flirting!! LOL!! Too bad Peter's birthday party is the same day as my niece's wedding.. You could crash and have a great time there, too. Reception is at some fancy place in downtown Buffalo... waterfront area. Still trying to decide what I will wear! Was thinking of wearing that dress... I think you gave me... long black dress with the big red roses on it. I love that dress! Wore it on the last two cruises. But.. not sure the colors are right for a summer wedding. Ceremony is at 2pm, so probably definitely not for the church, but maybe in the evening. Just re-read your post.. and see you wore black yesterday, so maybe that will be fine! Need to go shopping! But I don't know when! I was thinking if I wore black pants and a black shell maybe I could find a glitzy colorful jacket to wear with them. I don't know if we can get all the way up to Wasaga Beach, but if we could, I'd consider some chiro on my back. I'm open to just about anything at this point! We're going to have a limited time in Buffalo. Wedding will take up a lot of that weekend. Then the 30th my sisters and I are joinging two sisters we grew up with on a wine tour. One of the other gals has arranged for a limo to take us to some of the wineries in the Finger Lakes/Silver Lake area of NY state. We have him for four hours of wine tasting. So that's another day shot. And we have to see all Earl's relatives, spend time with my Mom, and try to get together with some of our HS classmates to start planning our 50th HS reunion... next summer!! And we have to get back on the road allowing plenty of time for visiting in OK... our TOPS group, our former church, our financial advisor and old friends!! And.. get to Sky Valley in plenty of time for Janet and I to go to LV on Oct 1st!!!

Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
Hi, Chicks! Don't remember if I posted yesterday or not. It was a busy day... Did some packing in the morning. Zoey and I did our ride around the neighborhood... Surf Shack, I ventured in to Target again even though I'd been told I couldn't bring her in anymore. No one said a thing, other than to tell me how cute she was. Cashier started talking to me about her so I told her what the cashier told me last week and she said, "well, I think she's really cute!" Nothing about them being told they had to enforce the "Service Dogs Only" rule! I think next time someone asked me if she is a service dog I will say, "as soon as I get her papers back." Anyway, we had a good time and we just came back from today's trip. Today we went to Surf Shack, Riteaid and Albertson's. Got some baking soda for the refrigerator when we leave and small bottle of clorox to sanitize the RV water tank. Spent most of yesterday at Tracy & Jim's though. One of her old high school friends, and former neighbor of ours from the 80's had been wanting to get together with us before Earl & I leave. So Tracy had us all over yesterday afternoon. Ended up there all day. She made WW spaghetti/meatballs she got out of their cookbook and she used whole wheat noodles, salad, garlic bread, and Earl and I brought strawberry shortcake. I found a sugar free angel food cake at Albertson's yesterday... 1/6 cake = 60 calories, and we probably cut the pieces half that. Earl put Splenda on the strawberries and I got Lite Cool Whip. So... dinner was pretty okay, but of course, I had more than my usual amount of wine. Tracy had wine they brought back from their trip to Temecula a few weeks ago. Group Therapy and a Rose that was really good. So....today... church, last Sunday here... so said good byes, went out to lunch with Tracy & Jim. Did a lot of packing today, too... both before and after church. Had to quit when my back was hurting too much to continue. I'm almost done. Earl is already complaining about too many shoes. Back was feeling decent for a few hours yesterday!! Maybe it was the wine! LOL! But I think not. Have ice on it right now. Karla... glad you had a good time the other night! Good for you! Janet... sounds like Bella is doing very well. We hardly used either the pain pills or sedatives when Zoey had her surgery, and she would NOT wear the hood! But, she didn't bother her stitches at all, either, so it wasn't an issue. So... we wasted $10 on each of those things!! How's Andrew doing now?? Chatted with grandson Kurtis on FB the other day. He's about as full of baloney as his dad!! Sorry to say! Haven't heard from Steve-o since right after his birthday.... typical!! But Kurtis says he's in Nebraska and they are going to meet halfway so he can go stay with his dad for a while! Just like his dad used to do at his age... wouldn't follow the rules at home, so staying with a series of friends/relatives until he wears out his welcome.. so now he's going to head to Nebraska and stay with Steve! He hasn't finished high school yet! I'd like to stop in Spokane and see him, but don't know if Earl will agree. Jim wouldn't either when he and Tracy went through there last week! The guys are fed up with him, but us gals... soft hearted moms! I even suggested we pick him up and take him to NY with us, and then OK and Steve could pick him up there! That did not go over well!! Candice... what's up!?? Liinda... good to see you posting! Had text messages from Karri a few days ago. She was supposed to come up this weekend, and was going to pick up her stuff. But she said she was too busy and wasn't going to be able to make it. So she wanted me to UPS it. you know Earl.... and he was probably right on this one... he said for what it would cost to ship it she could go buy a new cooler, etc. She said she already replaced the chargers, so she didn't really need them, and didn't care about the crock... so that left the cooler. She agreed that it probably didn't make sense to ship it... new ones that size are less than $20 and it would probably cost nearly that to send it. So it is going back in the shed.

Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!
Saw nurse practitioner... she was very thorough. Said, yeah, probably need an MRI, but agreed with the ortho dr... why bother when we're leaving in a week. So.. said I should see someone in CA. Also... disc is obviously being aggravated by swelling and inflammation as indicated by the tingling in my foot... pressure on a nerve. But she doesn't think it's a surgical problem and feels it will go away. Said typically after an auto accident, takes a couple of weeks for pain and inflammation to go away. Hope you have a good time tonight... enjoy your evening!

I'm here to help...
Coach coupons?? I don't need another Coach purse, but maybe we can go there when I get to CA!!:sleep: Is there a Coach store at that outlet mall in LV??? I might need to bring my little red scooter if my back isn't better by then. Right now can barely walk to the car. I'm going to try a walk outside after dinner as back feels a little better after PT treatments today... he tugged on my leg... like traction.. a couple of times, and he did ultrasound massage and TENS unit w/ice. Tingling in my left foot was almost gone after the simulated traction. Being very careful about what I am eating, because this PT is not getting me the exercise I was getting previously, and no way can I go upstairs to the gym and ride the bike and use the weight machines! Yeah, I am a caffeine freak! Quad shot latte almost every day, after about a cup and a half in the morning. Today I even had a Diet Coke after that.... a very rare indulgence. I probably haven't had 3 in the last 3 years. The SF white chocolate powder is very good. Still haven't looked at the calories... the can is already in the RV. This week they got a new flavor.... SF peach syrup. I had it with the SF white chocolate the last two days and it is VERY good. Wait... I thought I was the techy queen!!??:eek: Can I at least be the co-queen?? And probably have to share that with Eva, too!! Yeah, Laura... you are so busy... ambitious goal to go back to work! Hope you find what you want. Actually, appt I had today was with RNP, not doctor. Have no problem with that. Family medicine clinic I go to employs at least one, and I think P.A., too. Glad Bella is back home. Probably sleeping it off the rest of today. Zoey didn't stay quiet for long after her surgery! We had a hard time trying to keep her quiet! And forget the hood... that was a wasted $10. She wouldn't wear it. She has been a little obnoxious today. She had THREE scooter rides.... Surf Shack, PT (Earl said I had to take her so he came and picked her up when I got there!), and jewelry store to pick up my rings. Had my rings inspected, cleaned and one prong had to be replaced. Third trip she was BAD!! I made the mistake of going past the Surf Shack to avoid some speed bumps. So she thought we should stop again so she could have more treats and more attention from whomever happened to be there. When I didn't stop, she kept standing up in the basket and trying to climb over the steering column in to my lap. And she kept it up all the way home. It was late in the afternoon and there is more traffic than when we are out earlier in the day, but she was being very bad and wouldn't stay down. Then, when we did get home... she antagonized the cat. Kept barking at her and trying to get the cat to chase her. Candy is not playful at all and she was not amused. She stood her ground and kept hissing at Zoey and swatting at her but Zoey just kept barking at her and trying to get her to "play"! It was interesting! Candy ended up cornering her under a table so she finally backed off. Candy has no claws... lucky for Zoey!
