Going away for the weekend and decided not to take my laptop. So I'll be reading posts on my Blackberry. Probably should cancel as this crud I have is getting worse instead of better-down in to my chest. But been looking forward to it for so long. Back on Sunday. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hi, Gang! Down 1.8 lb today. Was hoping for a little more! Wii Fit said I was down 2.3 lb. Guess I should've waited until AFTER I got weighed to drink my 16 oz coffee! Plus our scale is screwed up. One week we're all down, the next we're all up! This week it was half and half! We're getting a new and better scale for TOPS and it should be arriving in a few days, in time for next week's meeting. Elections next week.... have to transfer my membership from home chapter to this one because they want me to take the leader job... which I've been doing since Jan. because the current leader was burned out. She's been doing Treas. job, too and wants to keep that one. Someone else will cover when I'm gone for the summer. Crud I picked up in WA last week has moved down to my chest, and added feature... now have a bladder infection as well! My wonderful doc in WA.... my gp, phoned Rx in to RiteAid here, so now I have drugs! She's a peach! I love her!

Hugs back, Steph. Glad you traveled safely. We're going up to Three Rivers CA this weekend... friend's 60th birthday/retirement party. Driving up Friday, festivities on Saturday, drive back on Sunday. This weeks is going pretty okay... crud is moving from my head down to my chest... starting to cough, but actually feeling better with the transition. Coughing is just annoying. Haven't missed any exercise, though it was quite tempting to skip. Looking forward to weigh in tomorrow. Hope its a good one! Janet, Have you ever tried to right click and save your post before you hit submit? When you highlight your post to change the font, color, etc., its very easy for it to all disappear if you hit any other key while its still highlighted. As soon as you make your changes, put your cursor on a white space and un-highlight to keep it from going away. Hope I'm not just confusing you, but I've had it all disappear and know how infuriating that is!

I remember those ND winter storms! Went to work one Friday afternoon with two other RNs from the base and we didn't get home until Sunday afternoon! Wind chill was something like minus 100 that night. Stay safe!! And stay inside, gals!

Yeah, enough with the butt picture!! It IS impressive, though! Must have sent the friend request to the wrong Susan Powell. Didn't find one with a boxer picture, but 437 Susan Powells so I didn't look at all of them. Look for me instead.. Phyllis Hand. -
So good to get a little of your life story, Mrs. Bubba. I can relate to ND... husband was stationed at Minot AFB for 2 yrs back in the mid 70's. I didn't like the winters!! And we had some pretty wild summer storms! I worked at th hospital in Minot while we lived there (RN-newborn nursery & IC nursery). Husband retired AF,so have lived all over the country but native of Buffalo NY. Ended AF career in Seattle area... lived there 12 yrs, then 15 yrs in Oklahoma City with Boeing, now back in WA state, both retired and snowbird in Palm Springs CA area... near IndioGirl! Weight problems since about age 8 w/many years of yoyo dieting. LapBand surgery 7/07, down a little over 100 lb. Just had my 6th fill last week. Think I have 5.5cc in 11 cc band. P.A. was in a really b____ mood last week and told me my band was near capacity! HUH??? Stll trying to figure that one out. She just wanted to chew me out about every little thing for some reason. Have good restriction and hope to see my weight loss pick up a little now... last few months have been tooooo slow!

I found her.. that was this morning and my brain is foggy, but I think as I scanned through the Susan Powells I found one with that said Baltimore MD .. picture didn't look like the one she uses here, but pretty sure I have the right one...If she approves my friend request I should be able to figure out if I have the right Susan Powell.. If so, I'll send you the friend suggestion. Made it through water aerobics, but head is not feeling so great. Felt so good to exercise after a week away, though, and then the hot tub! Wonderful! -

Drop the middle name and you'll find her. I guess I should've sent her friend suggestions for all the LBT gals... I think I have 12 LBT friends on FB now! -
Good Morning! Feeling better this morning and getting ready to go to Water aerobics. Throat better, head feels better, nose a little runny so sinuses are loosening up. Didn't have any band problems flying last week, but only in the air a couple of hours... Ont to Sacramento, then Sac to SeaTac. Have had a couple of episodes of sharp port pain, short-lived, but intense, but not what you are describing. Probably was the corn.

Good Morning! Going to drag myself to the pool soon even though I don't feel like it! Throat feels better this morning, eyes and nose are running, head feels better, so I'm going to water aerobics. Janet, don't envy you all that legal and accounting stuff! And, we'd be happy to "adopt" you in to our family! If the trip to Canada happens this summer, I'll even drag you down to Buffao to meet my Mom, sisters, etc! BTW, that last picture you posted is smokin'! You're looking so slim and slinky! Great outfit to show off the new you! Just chatting on FB w/Linda. Looking forward to her visit in two weeks. Candice! Great loss today!! Congrats!

Can't find you. Too many with that name. Phyllis Hand -
When we go to the fair we always park at the little Mexican church one block over from the main gate. They always have a taco booth... it was lunch time when we got there, so we each got one of their $1 tacos. Small soft tortilla, little bit of beef (maybe an ounce and a half), and a little cabbage and about a TBsp of sauce on top. That filled me up for the rest of the day. So when Earl bought his funnel cake I was not too interested. I had a couple of small bites and continued my shopping while he indulged. Then I had to listen to him moan and groan about how miserable he was. If he doesn't quit eating so much greasy food, he's going to end up having his gall bladder out. While I was gone last week he ate about four pizzas and 1/2 of one of those greasy rotisserie chickens from Wal-Mart. He doesn't take the skin and fat off first when he eats it! YUCK! I noticed a LOT of very obese people at the fair. So when the smells are driving my nuts, I just look around me and see lots of reasons not to give in to the temptation. We came home and I ate my leftover scallops from the night before.

Awesome photo, I think! But my head hurts when I turn it sideways!!! Can you turn it!

Hi, gang, Got back to the desert Friday afternoon. Brought home a bug, so kind of dragging this weekend. I was determined to go to the Date Festival yesterday despite feeling miserable. It was good to get out in the nice warm sunshine, but, same old, same old. Not tolerating food well between the fill last Monday and this flu or whatever I brought back with me. Throat sore and feels swollen, band feels tight. Had a good time with the little ones, but daughter was coughing all week and I wiped a few runny noses. Didn't think I was going to get it, but the very last day, throat started feeling sore and I knew I wasn't going to avoid it. On a positive note.... It was AMAZING to: 1. sit comfortably in an airplane seat without the arms squishing my butt, 2. not to have to ask for a seat belt extender, 3. be able to put down the little tray table thingy and have it sit level and not rest on my stomach!! It was WONDERFUL!

One suggestion for blasting yourself off of a plateau... the five day pouch test. Google it. Basically takes you back to the beginning.... liquids, full liquids, mushies. I did it last summer. I'd been doing okay, but needed it mentally, I think. It was a good discipline. -
Will definitely try some hot tea today. We have lots of different kinds. Might even have some peppermint. Had some Ice Wine Tea last night that felt good in my throat. Taking me along time to get down this coffee this morning so it's not hot anymore.

Found you and just sent you a bunch of friend suggestions... all LBT but from various threads. All good advice. As for scrambled eggs... I usually use eggbeaters, but at daughter's this week, I ate real eggs. One day I made a small omelet. (I'd had a fill on Monday of that week.) But I found that making scrambled eggs, using some skim milk, the egg went down a lot easier than the omelet. A lot softer, and more moist. -
Hi, I'm back from WA but feeling miserable. Picked up a bug from my daughter.. or maybe wiped too many runny noses. At any rate, my sinuses feel yucky, throat is sore and this morning, stomach feels upset, too. Trying to drink my coffee. DH making me an omelet that I'm not sure I can eat. Had a fill while I was home and so I"m pretty tight, too. I'm just full of Sunday morning cheer today!! On a positive note, I think I"m down a couple of pounds. I was down 2 lb on my daughter's scale the first few days I was there. Haven't weighed since I'm back because Thursday is my weigh in day, so not yet claiming the lbs until it's official weigh in day.

Good to hear from you, Don. Do you know about how many calories per day you are eating? What do you eat in a typical day? Good place to go for help is a mentors' thread... I'm here to help is an excellent one for "coaching" in your journey.

Yes, Katy, we will all be keeping you in our prayers. Glad you found a competent surgeon and praying he will be able to successfully correct the other's botched job. Congrats on the new fella, Lynn! -
