Okay, Karla..... here's a tidbit for you...... Earl had to spend HOURS fixing the bed yesterday! HAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA :w00t::lol::lol::eek: The sleep number bed sprung a leak and my side went almost flat! Actually.....I've been telling Earl for WEEKS that something was wrong. Controller is on HIS side (of course, the control freak). So he sets it on 55 for me at night and by morning it's feeling a whole lot softer than that. Now... this is again TMI, and I haven't even had a DROP of wine... but for "certain occasions" he sets both sides on 100. So, he noticed the other night that i was right and it was definitely leaking. So he took it all apart yesterday. In the process, one cord dropped down in t a hole and then he REALLY had to take it all apart. But, he tightened up all the hoses and connections and now it stopped leaking! Now you all know a LOT more than you need to! TOPS weigh in..... after my birthday AND Thanksgiving, AND the 17 lb turkey that Earl bought AFTER that, I was down .8 lb!! I was VERY happy! I didn't deny myself anything, just had small portions! And still lost! If I'd eaten like we normally do, however, it probably would have been one of those -5 lb weeks! Since I know we're having wine and decadent desert at Janet's, I parked my scooter at the clubhouse after water aerobics and walked to the office and back to get the mail! It was either that or ride the bike. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow.

We will have to think of a good name for the other "Phyl"! This one doesn't talk! DECADENT!! I can't wait! TOPS this morning...have to go. Wii weight looks good...down! Hope the other scale agrees!

That's great news! Congrats! Yes, I started my pre-op diet right after my first doctor visit because he didn't want to do the surgery until I got my BMI down to 60.

WOW!! I think someone hacked in to my LBT account last night and posted stuff pretending to be me!! Maybe I should report it!! Uh.... my head feels fine, and yes, it was worth it. I think I had about 3 glasses of wine.... big people glasses, not the kind Earl gives me! LOL! It started so innocently! I was walking home from beading class and my next door neighbors were sitting outside about to start a game of cribbage. She asked me if I went to beading... she didn't go because she's been fighting a cold. So I went over to show her my bracelet I made. Next thing I knew I was sitting down having a glass of wine with them. Then Earl called and I said... I'm next door having a glass of wine. C'mon over! Ten minutes later he shows up with a plate of cheese and a bottle of Pinot Noir! And we were there 2 hours! I guess they never got around to their cribbage game and it's all my fault!

I have revived!! But Earl has gone to the pool/hot tub, so he will probably pass out again when he gets back. Furlough day Dec. 11? Nice! We are going to Marine Band concert in Palm Springs...convention center Thurs. Dec. 10. Have you ever gone?? Excellent concert. One of the highlights of the winter for us. Uh oh.... now I suppose you're all going to be waiting for a report in the morning!! LOL! Me and my big mouth! No records, no FB, etc. is probably a good thing!! When my sister googled her DD's BF... immediately pulled up as sex offender! YIKES! So rest easy if you pulled up nothing!! Have you met this guy yet??

YEP!! LapBand is not a cure-all. You have to completely change the way you eat, and you MUST incorporate exercise. YOU CAN DO THIS!!

I've been propositioned for later tonight and I'm taking the matter under advisement. You said DD is 24??? I guess old enough to make those decisions . But I'd get the guy's name and google him!! LOL!! My sister did that on one of her 5 daughters' BFs and found out he was a convicted sex offender!! YIKES!! She is still dating the guy and now is pregnant with his baby! Oh, yeah, and when he was 14 he stabbed a guy to death! And then spent 10 yrs in jail for "consensual" sex with a 14 yr old girl that he said he didn't know was only 14??!! I should probably delet this post, huh!??

WOW!! You are going to have a BIG crowd for Christmas!! That's going to be great fun! I am still thinking about asking Earl if he wants to drive up to DS for Christmas. It's just kind of lonely to be here for Thanksgiving and Christmas sometimes. Knees... so sorry!! I think I was about your age when mine first started bothering me. You need to go have them checked out! Maybe a steroid injection will help. My very first steroid injection gave me GOOD relief for at least six months! I left for water aerobics at 8:45 a.m. or so this morning and got home 8 hrs later!! I went to beading class after water aerobics/hot tub/shower at 11 a.m. Earl brought me a hot lunch~ I had a granola bar with me! It was embarassing when he brought me this little container of hot turkey& dressing! I am so spoiled! Don't need everyone to know!! LOL! Anyways, Earl came and "stole" my scooter while I was there, so when I left at 2:30pm I had to walk home. No problem. But my next door neighbor was sitting outside with her husband when I got home.. getting ready to play Cribbage. So she asked if I went to beading. So I stopped to show her the bracelet I made today... beautiful black bracelet with crystals on it. I'll take a photo later. Anyway, they poured me a glass of wine and it went down hill from there! THey had cheese and carrots and crackers and cucumbers.... really good little cukes from Trader Joe's. Then Earl called and I told him I was next door and he should come over. So 10 min later he shows up with another bottle of wine and more cheese. So it was 2 more hrs before I got home... and now... well I am more than a little "buzzed"!! I am so BAD!! So I was out and about for a total of 8 hrs!!!

Happy BD to Kaitlyn! She's a beautiful young lady! Lost my dinner last night... headache seems to be gone this morning but we'll see when I start jumping around in the pool! Stomach.... never feels good in the morning after breakfast, so no tellin', but I think the bug is gone, if that's what it was. Hope you have a great day today, Karla! You're such a hard worker! Oh, my!! So sorry for your office troubles! And glad you stood up to the b......!! Hope today is a better day. Your puppy is adorable, whatever her name is!! LOL How are the two dogs getting along??

I don't think it was bad turkey. Maybe a touch of the flu. Still have headache this morning.. vague, but still there... back of the head and neck. Was hungry, so had Breakfast, but every time I eat I feel yucky again! Haven't been out of the RV since Saturday afternoon! But planning to go to Water aerobics in an hour. We'll see how that goes. Hey, Jackie & I have been here. Even today. And I just called Janet to make sure she didn't fall in to a hole somewhere. She's been chillin' in her jammies today, too, just like me! I haven't felt too good all day... queasy stomach, bit of a headache. But Earl poured me a glass of wine and gave me about 10 stick pretzels and now I feel better. Janet promised she'd be here later! I think! Her family left this morning.

We need a "LIKE" button like FB has!! LOL I agree with what you said. Except for the part about God planning for you to be alone. Maybe for now, but I choose to believe He has someone out there for you when His time is right. Hang in there both of you. Praying for the perfect housing for each of you.

Where is everyone?? Grey, cloudy, windy, cool morning. I think I heard rain all night and the windows are wet. I want to stay home and not go to church. Have a bit of a headache and upset stomach. Is that a good reason to skip church?? Just want to stay on the couch wrapped in my blankie!

If that's true, I'm in BIG trouble! I've been using it for 2 yrs. It is an ingredient of meat tenderizer, I believe. My orthopedic surgeon has it on his list of things to quit taking 2 weeks prior to surgery. It helps me when I feel "stuck".

Hey... we're sisters here and no need to apologize for any whining!! We all do it from time to time. It's okay, and I know I'm not the only one who was wondering how things were going with you since you've been AWOL!! Nasty deal your DH pulled on you for Thanksgiving! Glad your sister came through for you! Hope you had a nice day with her! One of my niece's has a BF who can't seem to stand being around her kids... 12 & 15. There is a very nice guy waiting in the wings who LOVES her AND her kids and has a couple of his own. They all get along GREAT. The only reason she sticks with the A-Hole guy is that every time she tries to break up with A-H, he CRIES!! They tried living together for a while but it only lasted a few months because he'd come home from work and sit in the kitchen by himself because the kids were there! In the meantime, she's about 37 and has wasted 7 years of her life on this guy. And passed up one really good catch about 5 years ago, too! A guy named Joe that my sister and I LOVED! Now he's going to marry someone else, and that's going to happen to her again if she sticks with Mr. Jerko. All he wants is his booty calls! UGH! She's a soft heart! Can't stand it when he cries and then she backs down and goes back to him! No basis for a lasting relationship. You are making the right decision. Because, like I told my sister, even when the kids are grown and out of the house... he'll treat them the same when they come to visit. Holidays will always be a nightmare! Hope you find a suitable place to move in to soon!

It sounds to me like you need a little bit taken out. If you can only eat a few bites and are having that much trouble, it sounds to me like you are too tight.

Hey! Where is everyone today??!! Out SHOPPING??? I did my usual Friday routine.... water aerobics, stationary bike, lunch, email/laptop, choir practice, cheese & wine & Judge Judy. Boring, huh??? But I keep checking here and no one is here or has been here!! What's up with that??? Candice has a new puppy that she's probably playing with. Janet still has her family there... maybe she's making cookies with the girls? How about the rest of you??

I had several fills before I reached a point of good restriction. So don't be anxious about it yet. As for being too tight... they always have you drink a glass of Water before you leave to make sure you can at least get that down. But if you can't eat hard Protein after a couple of days, you're too tight. If you do happen to PB or vomit... and it will probably happen sooner or later.. it's not like normal vomiting.. The first time it happened to me I started laughing. I'd just eaten some chicken and it all of a sudden just came back up. I started laughing because my husband was freaking out and it just struck my funny bone! It's nothing to be afraid of, really, and you will learn what you can and cannot eat... to keep it from happening. Most importantly, you will learn that you MUST take very small bites and chew thoroughly!
