Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!

I just pretty much ignore him!! Yeah... I paid the friggin' bill twice and it was over $2k, but.... won't have much, if anything to pay next month so ... get over it!! He doesn't care!! He played with his airplanes/helicopter all day and then had several glasses of wine, sat out on the patio, and he's a happy camper!! Sound asleep now and then he'll be telling me he didn't get to watch the news! Oh, well... I run it one time. If he sleeps through it... too bad, so sad!! HAHAHA!! PFFFFTTT!! He doesn't rattle my cage! I tell him what I did and why and... deal with it!! LOL! Yesterday he was chewing me out because I told him I had to go to Walmart to get birthday cards! He told me to buy a box of birthday cards because it would be cheaper!! When is the last time you saw a BOX of birthday cards you could buy???? I told him... I used to do that and you know what?? I still have most of them because they are too generic and I don't use them!!! I stick up for my rights and tell him off when he tries to control my spending!! He is doing the healthiest thing he's ever done... spending money on himself with these RC airplanes, and I support it 100%!! Red Hats was just a meeting today and no food.. no lunch, and a short meeting, at that. "Queen" was in Indio at the RV rally. Think we might go after church tomorrow. In fact, I had no lunch today... stopped at Starbucks for a latte and had a vanilla/almond biscotti with it... 150 calories. Had a little pheasant sausage and cheese with pita puff crackers when I got home... with some wine, of course. Red Hat lunch on Monday was at Elephant Bar and I ordered off the 700 calorie menu and ate half, finished it at dinner. Stomach has been fine today but headache keeps coming back. Earl not feeling really great today in that regard either. You accomplished a LOT today! Congrats!! Good work!! Sounds like a WILD day!! Hope the showings went well! -
HAHAHA!! No... I won't live it down, and I won't be going to confession because I feel NO guilt!! There is NO remorse, no repentance!! I go to "Cecil's Breakfast" once a month for a few months... I will miss next month. And that's the ONLY time I ever have a pancake, and it's always only one very small, thin pancake! So I will choose to ignore the "FOOD COP" on that issue!! LOL!! In March and in April, I will go again! And I will have ONE small pancake, 2 sausage links and a little bit of scrambled eggs, just like I ALWAYS do!! HAHAHA!! I can't HEAR you!! LALALALALALA!! Hee Hee!!

There was an earthquake centered in Banning some time this afternoon. Banning is about 25 miles from where we are, a little further away from Janet. We were sitting outside on the patio at the time and I remember DH asking "was that an earthquake??" He doesn't remember saying that, but I do! Maybe we had too much wine!!!:biggrin:I didn't feel anything, but apparently he did. However, it was not anything "earthshaking", pardon the pun, or we would both have felt it AND remembered it!! LOL
-
I remember that being one of my biggest challenges! I sit with my legs elevated whenever possible. And notice the repercussions when I don't... sitting in the car for a long time, etc. still has an impact!

Wow! You're doing GREAT! Congrats on the fashion show invite! What an honor!! You are near the university, right? DS#1 is in the Navy and was stationed at Crane for several years. DIL loved it.... lots of wildlife on base and SNOW every winter, which she LOVES! Now they're near San Francisco and she misses winter!
-
Eva... great pictures! What is the name of the sushi place in San Diego that you like? We're going there for an overnight trip next month with DD & SIL.

Quiet Saturday morning. Still in my jammies. Earl has been up since 5:30 a.m., as usual, and he's about to drive me nuts! At least he is now playing with his planes so that will keep him out of my hair for a while. He is so hyper. In and out, up and down, I turn lights out, he turns them back on. Soon as I got up this morning he told me I paid a bill twice. Not the first time. Too bad it's a BIG one... last month's Amex bill! I can't stop it. I tried. It looked like it wasn't going to pay and I don't want to pay late fees! He said it already paid earlier in the week. Still don't see it, but he says the payment is posted. Oh, well! Won't have to pay it next month! Must be getting old! He checks all our accounts online EVERY morning! Then I get all these questions... why doesn't he just take over this stuff!!?? UGH! And pretty soon he will start nagging me about the taxes! No shopping today. This is our usual Costco/Walmart, etc day, but... because we needed airplane parts, we've been there the last two days! So today is just a Red Hats meeting at 1pm. Hah! I get to drive myself somewhere! And I will sneak in to Desert Hot Springs for a latte! -
Yeah, looks like a big old ugly rat with long legs!! Yuck! I HATE rodents, and snakes! So, why were the buffalo going to Bass Pro???? LOL! I don't think I'll ever wear a skirt again either! Not unless I get PS on my thighs. Evne lower legs are pretty grotesque! I hate my legs. So I"ll live the rest of my life in pants! Or, occasional full length dress... like on a cruise. But can't really find pantyhose that fit right and I hate the knee highs... can't stand the elastic.. and they won't stay up anyway. Sounds like you're doing pretty good with the knees. You're a trooper! I warned you about that sudoku! I was spending hours a day on Farm town for a while, then it was Pathwords, now it's Sudoku!!

Not sure about that because I didn't have much opportunity to explore all the ins and outs. But, what I did see.. I LOVED! Lots of new things, improvements on the old, plus it saves all your old scores and stats. -
Sounds like your internal thermostat works exactly like mine! I start getting cold towards evening. But as it gets closer to bedtime, I start warming up... electric heater in the RV LR and snuggled under my blankie... then I want the heat turned down. I think our metabolism starts to shut down towards bedtime. Then I want it COLD, and in the morning... I still like it kind of cold. DH puts the heater on again in the morning and I always want it off! Weird! Now I don't remember what the other thing isthat I wanted to say!! I think it had something to do with Laura's post, but it's gone now!! LOL.... just getting too old!! Beautiful sunset right now! So sorry so many of you are getting frost bitten!! It's been so wonderful here I'm almost afraid to breathe!! Don't want it to change! Wish I was coming to FL with all of you! I booked a trip to Seattle for that weekend to go to a "bandster bash" at a local hotel only to find out yesterday that it's been postponed until March!! FRUSTRATING! I don't know a soul who is going, but I was hoping to get a PS consult that weekend. I know there will be band doctors as wells as plastic surgeons there to give presentations and consults. So, I'm going up anyway... see daughters and grandkids and a couple of dr. appts.

Karri... glad you got a good night's sleep!! Our daughter had hyst in early Nov and she is having a lot of trouble with insomnia, too. Wonder why.. after surgery, because I had the same problem for a while. No pain, should've been able to sleep, but just couldn't. I thought part of my problem was the anti-depressant I was taking. So I cut it in half and the problem pretty much went away. Except for last night! :tt1: But I don't know if it was cutting the med or what that fixed the problem! Part of my lunch did come back up but don't know if it was because of the fish, or still have a touch of the flu or what. Just had a little cheese and pita chips and no problem with that. Stomach feels okay now, biggest complaint is my head! -
Good to hear from you, Don!

Trader Joe's is right next to the hobby store, so when we went in AGAIN TODAY for helicopter parts, I went in and got a bag of Basmati rice... they had both white and brown. The brown was actually 10 calories more per serving than the white. I bought white. -

Felt a little sick to my stomach earlier. Mostly the stupid headache is back and I just don't feel good. Skipped choir practice and rode in to the hobby store with Earl this afternoon - more helicopter parts!! Do you have any idea how much this helicopter has cost now, after the initial cost???!! Why was I eating the fish???? Hmmmmmm..... #1... because I like it, #2..... maybe because our parents grew up during the depression and brainwashed us that you never WASTE anything!?? or... #3... just plain stupid! It was there, I was hungry, it just needed to be heated up. I ate it! Pretty dumb, huh?! -

Yeah... that was it... Basmati! I'll have to get some. It was good. Karri got my sleep! That's not fair!! LOL Read until 12:30 a.m., reflux for an hour after that... and it went away so suddenly it was weird. It was like all of a sudden everything went down and I was fine! Like pulling the plug in the drain! But then I couldn't get to sleep for at least another hour. So I slept until 7:30 a.m., about 1/2 hr longer than ususal. Decided to buy some shredded wheat yesterday.. so had 1/2 cup w/skim milk for BF this morning. It only stayed down about 15 minutes! Don't know why. And it came up so suddenly, projectile... that I couldn't get to the toilet fast enough! Cleaned that up, and then the rest came up. So then I was starving for lunch by the time I got back from the pool (yes, I went anyway) ... had the other piece of my fish from the other night and a couple of those little cocktail meatballs. Now it feels like that wants to come up! Maybe I still have the flu. Headache is back again, too! Think I wll skip choir practice. -

Yeah, you need to come down here. It's COLD in FL and we're having the best winter since we've been coming down here, I think. See... weatherman just said.. warmest weather here in the whole continental US! Temps hit 80 in most areas of So CA.. We were at least 75. NO.. Food Cop doesn't scare me! I just had a busy day. We went shopping after water aerobics. Michaels, Trader Joe's, Starbucks, bank, Walmart, back to the bank (!), then Costco! Oh, yeah... and the hobby store to pick up all the parts for the two broken airplanes!! Then we had a glass of wine, a little cheese, watched some Judge Judy and had some grilled steak. Tilapia never go finished yesterday. In fact when I posted that I was half done and having trouble... I quit. I was eating so slow that Earl was finished with his dinner before I took my first bite! Then he kept trying to take my plate away because I was eating slow. After a while, I just let him take it because I was obviously not getting anything else down. Tonight... filet.... somewhere between 3 and 4 oz. I ate it all... but VERY slowly. Had a few peas with it, and sauteed mushrooms and onions. BF was a nature valley granola bar... 190 cal. Lunch... snacks at Costco... taste of Healthy Choice chicken noodle soup, small piece of a chicken burrito, little piece of cheese, 1 cracker w/dab of cream cheese and sm piece of smoked salmon and 2 bites of yogurt. I think that was it. I guess there was chicken sausage there somewhere, but I missed it. Oh.. I had a couple of bites of curry chicken at TJ's. It was pretty tasty. I might try making that. They were serving it over rice... that kind of rice that starst with a "b" that I can't think of right now. Down 2 lb at TOPS today. I'm getting so annoyed with them I don't think I'm going to let them elect me leader again. I had a frustration last week when I showed up with all my stuff and was told, "Oh, we decided we'd just have a weigh in this morning"... no meeting because it was New Years Eve. Excuse me?? Our meeting is at 8 a.m.!! And if they were going to decide that (while I was out of town Christmas week) someone should've sent me an email or called me on the phone to let me know! So this week... I get there a little before 8 am. to get weighed. We have a basket we put fruint and healthy snacks in... everyone is uppsoed to contribute something and then the best loser of the week gets to take it home. So I go to put something in the fruit basket and it's empty! So I said, "didn't anyone else bringh anything for he basket today???" Weight Recorder says... "Oh, I already gave it to Betty. She lost 3 lb and I didn't figure anyone was going to beat her>" Betty had already left. The fruit basket is supposed to be awarded during the meeting. You don't give it to someone who is "probably" going to be the best loser before the meeting even starts! And it's not supposed to go to someone who isn't even staying for the meeting! I was sort of ticked off but kept my mouth shut. But, I'm abut ready to be done. All summer when I was gone I kept asking them to email me copies of the minutes and they never communicated anything! Okay, enough about that!! It's killing me not to have any Papaya when I have problems like I had last night with the tilapia. But if it's here... once I start, I just keep popping them in like M & Ms! So... no more! Cut back on my wine. Now am addicted to Challenge Sudoku on FB! HELP ME!! It's time for bed. -
Ha ha.... you aren't the last to post, Eva! LOL I'm still up and just getting around to LBT... too much FB... Challenge Sudoku has me hooked at the moment! TOPS weigh in this morning.. down 2 lb. Hopefully back on track! Trouble with dinner last night... tilapia. Don't know why I always have trouble with it. Couldn't finish small filet and some spinach. Had steak tonight... filet mignon.. small one. Had to eat it very slowly, but was able to finish it, mushrooms, onions and a few peas.

I didn't realize there were so many here who hadn't yet met the FOOD COP!!??!! Watch out!! But she's right about the pancakes... I mean PANCAKE!! It was one tiny pancake!! And she's right about the wine! First time we've been out to a New Years Eve party in a very long time.... probably 20-25 years maybe!! I didn't over do the food, but I definitely had too much wine. I was very bad. And my DH is not letting me forget either! :smile2::biggrin::thumbup::biggrin::biggrin: I will send out some more Sudoku invites!
-
I agree!! Heck, I just had one tiny pancake, there was no butter to put on it, used a little syrup, had two small sausage links, the kind of dry ones without any casing, and a little bit of scrambled eggs. I didn't even get any catsup for my eggs. I didn't go until 8:30 a.m. and between them running out of food, and being done at 9 a.m., I had to beg for a plastic fork, the OJ was all put away, even the coffee was put away. Good thing I brought my own!!
-
Hmmm... you are presenting difficult questions! See... it costs MOST people $4 if you buy your ticket ahead, $5 at the door.... BUT, my DH is part of the team that prepares the food, so I eat for free! My "free will offering" is his labor, and he's not at the RV to get my coffee and fix my omelet!! He is the guy who mixes the pancake batter, and I've heard him get compliments on how he gets it just the perfect consistency! He's worried about losing his job because we'll be gone next month on the 1st Wed. (cruise). What's kind of funny is that the old guy who organizes the whole thing (Cecil of "Cecil's Breakfast) doesn't make a list when he does the shopping. So every month they seem to run out of something. Last month it was eggs. He didn't buy as many as he thought he did! You could probably teach him a thing or two! This month way more people showed up than he anticipated. CECIL... HELLO.... it's JANUARY!! The SNOWBIRDS have showed up in full force! So DH says they were running to everyone's homes gathering up more pancake mix, more sausages, etc. By the time I got there, there were just a few pancakes in the warmer and all the pancake mix they could beg, borrow and steal was GONE. The eggs were gone, the sausages, like I said, were also borrowed, and the butter was gone! Oh, my gosh, Girl!! YES it is definitely NORMAL!! In fact, up 2 lb is WONDERFUL!! They load you up with IV fluids! And then there is the swelling! If you're only up 2 lb that's GREAT!!! In fact, one week after my knee replacement surgery, I think I was up 12 lb!! And I hadn't been eating much of anything. But within a few weeks, it was all gone and more! So, don't worry about it. Do what you're supposed to do and try to stay off the scale! Yeah, I was surprised about one of the twins going home, too, on Biggest Loser last night. And disappointed. So, Lori, are you intersted in playing some Challenge Sudoku on FB??? Anyone else??? I need more players! I can't get anyone to play with me! SO I keep starting games with DH and then I get on his account and try to beat myself!! How sick is that!! LOL

Food Cop???? Are you there??? I'm trying to eat spinach and breaded tilapia and you know how that goes! Oh, my! It's only half gone and trying to come back up already! And I love it so much! -

Very pretty dress! Apples says you are tall... you'll look terrific in that! Lovely! We'll be waiting anxiously to see pictures! Maybe you can do some sort of online version of a shower, too. Hmmmm... our DIL had the guys wear grey tuxes with pink ties and cumberbunds! I'm sure the guys won't wear pink shoes, but you might get them to wear pink ties! I was trying to think of "Good 'N Plenty" when you said pink, black & white candy! I remember them, but it's probably been 40 or 50 years since I've had some! HAHAHAHA!! GOOD IDEA!! She's being the "FOOD COP" again and got on my case about going to pancake breakfast this morning! LOL! PUnish her! HAHA! You are too quick for me! I googled it, too, and found the answer. You guys.... I was hoping she'd get discouraged and go back to Sudoku.... Lori... I'm going to send you an invitation for Challenge Sudoku on FB. It's fun, but addicting! I wanted to go to DHS today and just browse around. DS #2... when I talked to him the other day, asked if I could send him some clothes. Seems he lost everything he had moving from place to place. This is an old story. Has happened many times in the past. The reason I didn't give him his birth certificate until he was about 30. Be interesting to know if he staill has it. Anyways, I was going to look for some thrift stores to find him some clothes. It's been very cold in OK the past two weeks! Sounds like he needs everything. DH is resisting. We just sent him some money again. He says let him use that to buy clothes. Yeah, but I can find good stuff in a thrift store and I'm sure DS wouldn't hear of shopping for himself in a place like that. He's all about appearances and he lives in a small town in.
