    I'm here to help...

Hugs to you, Lady!! You have had SO much to deal with lately!! Hope they figure out what is going on with the arm. It is so good to see that green bold print again!! I want to thank everyone, too, for all the kind thoughts and well wishes! It is frustrating that we are not going to be here long enough to pursue what is going on with my back, but I will tend to it when we get to CA if I'm still having problems. I am reluctant to start with chiro... never have done that. I do think an MRI is probably the thing to do if this continues. But... on the other hand, I'm feeling a lot better today. I have been taking 1 muscle relaxant and one tylenol w/codeine when I get up in the morning and an hour or so before bed. It has not made a big difference in my comfort during hte night, but it definitely has in the daytime. Last night I was able to walk the condo loop for the first time in 10 days and I'm going to do it again in the next 1/2 hr or so. So... things are definitely looking up. HAHA!! Okay, Cougar!! Nice work!! LOL! Very cute that you didn't figure out he was hitting on you!! Love it! Feeling so much better today I may ask the therapist if I can try the recumbent bike when I go for my PT tomorrow. Great.... keep forgetting to tell you this... nephew just finished training and is pediatric neurologist. Started new job at hospital in Salt Lake City.. Children's maybe?? Anyway, he and his wife were there house hunting a month or so ago and went home discouraged because they couldn't find anything a reasonable distance from the hospital that they could afford. So I guess he is looking for a rental for the time being. In the meantime, his very pregnant wife is in the San Francisco area waiting to join him. They are having TWINS in October! My sister is SO excited... her first grandchildren.. and TWINS!! Packing is going well. I plan to finish tomorrow. Friday will be last minute things and cleaning the house. Then we'll sleep in the RV Friday night at our daughter and son-in-law's. Hit the road Saturday morning. I am already begging for one last trip to my favorite latte place, Surf Shack, Saturday morning before we leave! Listened to whining about how hard to pull the RV in to that parking lot. But I reminded DH that when we went "camping" last month... he pulled in to the Safeway shopping center parking lot right next to it and I went through a hole in the fence!! HAHAHA!! SO... he may cave in! Hope to make it to Idaho border the first day. We don't like to do more than 300 miles a day. Julie... I think I figured out we'd be in ND the 4th day... which would be Tuesday... but I'll look over the map again and let you know. Julie... I'll repeat my favorite line... I'm old and I forget stuff!! so>>>>>> did you send me that list of names/addresses/ phone #s?? I noticed I have no address for you. Anyone along I-90 have room for us to park at your house overnight??? LOL!

Took pain pills yesterday.... one in the morning and one at bedtime, and the muscle relaxer, too...but just one instead of the two I'd been taking. So I didn't feel like too much of a zombie and I actually was able to walk the dog around the comdo loop once. Neighbor that lives halfway around came out as I was going by and she was actually headed over here to my next door neighbor's, so she walked with me and we chatted and that took my mind off the pain... which is mostly in the left hip now. Moves around! And my left foot is still all tingly. But....walking is progress. And it was after dinner, so the pain pill had to be pretty much out of my system by then... almost 12 hrs after I took it. Ya know... I actually DO get that! I have some similar tendencies! Do it all... or do nothing because its too overwhelming. I have several tasks I've been putting off for days! Candice... where are you??? Karla... so sorry about the Koi! Linda....??? Come back! We miss you! Karri????? Who am I missing?? Gotta go... want to make an appearance at Primetimers today so we can say goodbye for the winter, so I need to go get in the shower!

Jewel.... often the local "Y", or day care centers have an after school program. Definitely look in to it. Maybe there are private in home child care places in your neighborhood. I know that is a scary thought, but it will just take checking people out and asking around. Our oldest daughter did day care in her home for quite a few years and she was the BEST! If you could find someone like her it would be GREAT! Kids she took care of are now grown up.... early 20's.. .some of whom she had as infants and toddlers and they still keep in touch! So... just saying.... some moms are in it because they truly love kids. I've had to resort to taking the stupid pain pills and muscle relaxers for my back because the pain is not going away and I have to be able to function! We are in the final stages of packing our RV for the winter and leave in a few days. We will be on the road for 6 weeks before we get to our winter getaway down near Janet. Enjoying all your posts.... but gotta go get in the shower .... and I'm no good at remembering stuff to respond to!! Poor excuse. Sorry!

Hey 50 & over gang We have a new spot

WELCOME, BAND-PAL!! WOW!! Fantastic success story! I am 3 yrs post-op and down about 125 lb. However, I am at a standstill right now.... hovering around the 200 lb mark and I want to lose another 50 lb. Exercise is a difficult discipline, but so worth it. Walking is a challenge for me... knee replacement last summer has made it easier, but... arthritis in other places sometimes keeps me from it. A back issue has me stalled right now, but prior to an accident a couple of weeks ago, I was trying to walk about a mile a day in addition to other exercise. I joined a nearby gym this summer and was using various weight machines I'd been coached on as well as recumbent bike until this little setback. I'll be back at it soon. So good to have you join us. Our daughter and son-in-law had the same experience while visiting Italy... they were on a cruise, but spent time in Venice before and after, as well as extra time in Rome and London. They said they really didn't watch what they ate and were afraid they were gaining weight while on this 3 week vacation. They were pleasantly surprised to find they'd actually both lost weight and they, too, attributed it to all the walking they did. Good luck to you, Maggie. I, too, am anxious to get back to my normal routine when I get past this back problem I have right now.

I like the bangs, Janet!! We will be in CA towards the end of Sept. Didn't realize I hadn't posted yesterday. I did read all the posts. Pain is getting so discouraging, I just don't feel like chatting sometimes! Had TOPS yesterday morning. I was down 2 1/2 lb, but still a little over 200 and that's discouraging, too. I had PT yesterday, too. And Tracy & Jim stopped over with Gigi for a short visit. All in all, I just don't know where the day went! Took Zoey to TOPS and to PT.. our son & DIL are right... we've turned in to crazy old people who take their dog everywhere!! LOL! Took her red bag both times and just put her in there when I got there. Weighed her at TOPS... just held her and weighed myself again. She was wiggly, but we figured she weighed 6 1/2 lb!! She was 5 lb 5 oz when she had her surgery last month! Doesn't look like she's gained that much, but maybe! She's still very tiny so I'm not worried about it. She is probably getting too many treats! Very busy packing, too. Pulled a lot of stuff out of my closet yesterday so clothes are almost done and Earl says RV closet is pretty full. Today I have to go through my electronic stuff.. chargers, etc. and sort through my TOPS bags. Also, jewelry and cosmetics. I just took a muscle relaxer and a Tylenol w/codeine so I can cooperate with all that Earl wants me to do today! I haven't taken any of those pain pills in several days because I don't like feeling like I am in LALA land!! No reflection on you Janet!! HAHA!! So frustrated that PT has to be so passive right now... ultrasound massage, Elec. stim, ice and some stretches. They worked on me for an hour yesterday. I want to be in the pool and on the bike and doing my usual stuff but I can't! I don't understand why this pain won't go away. When I had it before it was only for a day or two. See... all I do is whine, so... should just read!! Oh, dear... here comes the woe is me tears!! Later, chicks!

    I'm here to help...

I would think those shoes would be dangerous to walk/run on. They did a piece on them on the news tonight, but I wasn't really paying close attention. I have a LOT of purses, but tend to stick with my favorites. One favorite is a navy blue kind of a parachute nylon fabric purse that I bought at the QVC store at mall of America 2 years ago. It's a "Travel...." something or other and I liked all the organizer pockets/zippers, etc. But then last winter at the street fair in Palm Springs area I found a "Bagellini" that is my new favorite. But I use my Coach purses from time to time, and sometimes change to something fancier if we're going out somewhere special. I like the cross body styles the past few years. :Like your purse philosophy, too! I get in trouble if I buy a new purse and then don't use it! But every now and then you make a bad choice... buy something and then once you start using it find out you don't really like it for one reason or another! You didn't tell Gwen how close together you had your two knee surgeries! After my knee surgery last August, I had at home PT for several weeks before they sent me to outpatient. But they didn't offer me inpatient rehab. I had surgery on a Tuesday morning and went home on Friday. Nurses came twice a week for several weeks, too. She would check my vitals and my incision and took the staples out when it was time. Yikes---- bills.. yes, I have to pay some bills before we leave on Saturday, not to mention make calls to shut off paper service, forward mail, put phone, cable and internet on "vacation" status!! YUCK!! Hate the hassle of those phone calls!

I saw you sign on Skype but didn't see a call request. No time to go to Seattle Chiro clinic... leaving on Saturday and too much to do between now and then. Finish packing, etc. Have to go to TOPS in the morning because we need to pick up our "travel" charts. Need to find time to go down and say goodbye to Jodie, Al and kids, too. I haven't been told how many pairs of shoes I can take... just groaning about how many I put in the outgoing basket today! Planning to leave Saturday morning. Hope to make it to the WA/ID state line the first day.

We were posting at the same time!! You are SO bad!! Glad you had a good time!! Shame on you for all that flirting!! LOL!! Too bad Peter's birthday party is the same day as my niece's wedding.. You could crash and have a great time there, too. Reception is at some fancy place in downtown Buffalo... waterfront area. Still trying to decide what I will wear! Was thinking of wearing that dress... I think you gave me... long black dress with the big red roses on it. I love that dress! Wore it on the last two cruises. But.. not sure the colors are right for a summer wedding. Ceremony is at 2pm, so probably definitely not for the church, but maybe in the evening. Just re-read your post.. and see you wore black yesterday, so maybe that will be fine! Need to go shopping! But I don't know when! I was thinking if I wore black pants and a black shell maybe I could find a glitzy colorful jacket to wear with them. I don't know if we can get all the way up to Wasaga Beach, but if we could, I'd consider some chiro on my back. I'm open to just about anything at this point! We're going to have a limited time in Buffalo. Wedding will take up a lot of that weekend. Then the 30th my sisters and I are joinging two sisters we grew up with on a wine tour. One of the other gals has arranged for a limo to take us to some of the wineries in the Finger Lakes/Silver Lake area of NY state. We have him for four hours of wine tasting. So that's another day shot. And we have to see all Earl's relatives, spend time with my Mom, and try to get together with some of our HS classmates to start planning our 50th HS reunion... next summer!! And we have to get back on the road allowing plenty of time for visiting in OK... our TOPS group, our former church, our financial advisor and old friends!! And.. get to Sky Valley in plenty of time for Janet and I to go to LV on Oct 1st!!!

Hi, Chicks! Don't remember if I posted yesterday or not. It was a busy day... Did some packing in the morning. Zoey and I did our ride around the neighborhood... Surf Shack, I ventured in to Target again even though I'd been told I couldn't bring her in anymore. No one said a thing, other than to tell me how cute she was. Cashier started talking to me about her so I told her what the cashier told me last week and she said, "well, I think she's really cute!" Nothing about them being told they had to enforce the "Service Dogs Only" rule! I think next time someone asked me if she is a service dog I will say, "as soon as I get her papers back." Anyway, we had a good time and we just came back from today's trip. Today we went to Surf Shack, Riteaid and Albertson's. Got some baking soda for the refrigerator when we leave and small bottle of clorox to sanitize the RV water tank. Spent most of yesterday at Tracy & Jim's though. One of her old high school friends, and former neighbor of ours from the 80's had been wanting to get together with us before Earl & I leave. So Tracy had us all over yesterday afternoon. Ended up there all day. She made WW spaghetti/meatballs she got out of their cookbook and she used whole wheat noodles, salad, garlic bread, and Earl and I brought strawberry shortcake. I found a sugar free angel food cake at Albertson's yesterday... 1/6 cake = 60 calories, and we probably cut the pieces half that. Earl put Splenda on the strawberries and I got Lite Cool Whip. So... dinner was pretty okay, but of course, I had more than my usual amount of wine. Tracy had wine they brought back from their trip to Temecula a few weeks ago. Group Therapy and a Rose that was really good. So....today... church, last Sunday here... so said good byes, went out to lunch with Tracy & Jim. Did a lot of packing today, too... both before and after church. Had to quit when my back was hurting too much to continue. I'm almost done. Earl is already complaining about too many shoes. Back was feeling decent for a few hours yesterday!! Maybe it was the wine! LOL! But I think not. Have ice on it right now. Karla... glad you had a good time the other night! Good for you! Janet... sounds like Bella is doing very well. We hardly used either the pain pills or sedatives when Zoey had her surgery, and she would NOT wear the hood! But, she didn't bother her stitches at all, either, so it wasn't an issue. So... we wasted $10 on each of those things!! How's Andrew doing now?? Chatted with grandson Kurtis on FB the other day. He's about as full of baloney as his dad!! Sorry to say! Haven't heard from Steve-o since right after his birthday.... typical!! But Kurtis says he's in Nebraska and they are going to meet halfway so he can go stay with his dad for a while! Just like his dad used to do at his age... wouldn't follow the rules at home, so staying with a series of friends/relatives until he wears out his welcome.. so now he's going to head to Nebraska and stay with Steve! He hasn't finished high school yet! I'd like to stop in Spokane and see him, but don't know if Earl will agree. Jim wouldn't either when he and Tracy went through there last week! The guys are fed up with him, but us gals... soft hearted moms! I even suggested we pick him up and take him to NY with us, and then OK and Steve could pick him up there! That did not go over well!! Candice... what's up!?? Liinda... good to see you posting! Had text messages from Karri a few days ago. She was supposed to come up this weekend, and was going to pick up her stuff. But she said she was too busy and wasn't going to be able to make it. So she wanted me to UPS it. you know Earl.... and he was probably right on this one... he said for what it would cost to ship it she could go buy a new cooler, etc. She said she already replaced the chargers, so she didn't really need them, and didn't care about the crock... so that left the cooler. She agreed that it probably didn't make sense to ship it... new ones that size are less than $20 and it would probably cost nearly that to send it. So it is going back in the shed.

Saw nurse practitioner... she was very thorough. Said, yeah, probably need an MRI, but agreed with the ortho dr... why bother when we're leaving in a week. So.. said I should see someone in CA. Also... disc is obviously being aggravated by swelling and inflammation as indicated by the tingling in my foot... pressure on a nerve. But she doesn't think it's a surgical problem and feels it will go away. Said typically after an auto accident, takes a couple of weeks for pain and inflammation to go away. Hope you have a good time tonight... enjoy your evening!

Coach coupons?? I don't need another Coach purse, but maybe we can go there when I get to CA!!:sleep: Is there a Coach store at that outlet mall in LV??? I might need to bring my little red scooter if my back isn't better by then. Right now can barely walk to the car. I'm going to try a walk outside after dinner as back feels a little better after PT treatments today... he tugged on my leg... like traction.. a couple of times, and he did ultrasound massage and TENS unit w/ice. Tingling in my left foot was almost gone after the simulated traction. Being very careful about what I am eating, because this PT is not getting me the exercise I was getting previously, and no way can I go upstairs to the gym and ride the bike and use the weight machines! Yeah, I am a caffeine freak! Quad shot latte almost every day, after about a cup and a half in the morning. Today I even had a Diet Coke after that.... a very rare indulgence. I probably haven't had 3 in the last 3 years. The SF white chocolate powder is very good. Still haven't looked at the calories... the can is already in the RV. This week they got a new flavor.... SF peach syrup. I had it with the SF white chocolate the last two days and it is VERY good. Wait... I thought I was the techy queen!!??:eek: Can I at least be the co-queen?? And probably have to share that with Eva, too!! Yeah, Laura... you are so busy... ambitious goal to go back to work! Hope you find what you want. Actually, appt I had today was with RNP, not doctor. Have no problem with that. Family medicine clinic I go to employs at least one, and I think P.A., too. Glad Bella is back home. Probably sleeping it off the rest of today. Zoey didn't stay quiet for long after her surgery! We had a hard time trying to keep her quiet! And forget the hood... that was a wasted $10. She wouldn't wear it. She has been a little obnoxious today. She had THREE scooter rides.... Surf Shack, PT (Earl said I had to take her so he came and picked her up when I got there!), and jewelry store to pick up my rings. Had my rings inspected, cleaned and one prong had to be replaced. Third trip she was BAD!! I made the mistake of going past the Surf Shack to avoid some speed bumps. So she thought we should stop again so she could have more treats and more attention from whomever happened to be there. When I didn't stop, she kept standing up in the basket and trying to climb over the steering column in to my lap. And she kept it up all the way home. It was late in the afternoon and there is more traffic than when we are out earlier in the day, but she was being very bad and wouldn't stay down. Then, when we did get home... she antagonized the cat. Kept barking at her and trying to get the cat to chase her. Candy is not playful at all and she was not amused. She stood her ground and kept hissing at Zoey and swatting at her but Zoey just kept barking at her and trying to get her to "play"! It was interesting! Candy ended up cornering her under a table so she finally backed off. Candy has no claws... lucky for Zoey!

Good Morning! Gloomy, cloudy morning so far but hopefully the sun will come out, in more ways than one, and it'll be a GOOD day!! Off to a frustrating start, though! Earl left very early to take the RV in for our pre-trip oil change. So, it's at Tracy & Jim's, so he drives the car over and leaves with the RV leaving his fanny pack in the car, complete with wallet, cell phone, etc. So he calls me THREE TIMES while I'm sitting on the throne and can't get to the phone. When I finally talk to him he tells me I have to go get his fanny pack and bring it to him because he has no money to go buy breakfast, no credit cards to pay bill. Okay... how do you suggest I get there since the car is at Tracy's!! And Tracy is to pick me up in less than an hour to take me to the doctor! So now I'm supposed to take it to him after Tracy and I get back from the doctor! Sure! I gave him a credit card number so he can pay the bill. I can barely walk. Don't know if I can even drive!

Hangin'. Pain not gone... left foot tingly... going back to primary care clinic in the morning. Must be pressure on a nerve. Zoey's busy time and she is getting in trouble. Earl told her she was dumber than a box of rocks because he was trying to play catch with her outside and she wouldn't bring the ball back! I am trying to teach her "bring it back", but he doesn't use the right words so she's not getting it when he plays with her. He's giving me a break because of my back. But he says when I'm better he gets comp time! I have to pick up all the poop, etc., for a LONG time, I suspect! Grandson pretty sore after bad accident last night but so thankful that's all and everyone walked away. He was rear-ended and his car, which he worshipped, totaled! But Tracy said he stayed very cool and calm... good qualities for a guy who just finished EMT/fireman certification. He's worried that accident might hurt his job hunting because you're not suposed to have any accidents on your record. But this was TOTALLY not his fault! He was standing still waiting for lady in front of him to make a left turn when kid slammed in to him doing about 40 mph. Not a good week. Friend Jacki's cancer back. Just got an email from folks we've hung out with a lot at Sky Valley and wife died yesterday of some weird blood infection. Not very old. Maybe a few years older than me, but not much. They live here in WA, but not very close to us. Need some GOOD news!!

Julie..... I've never been to a chiropractor but giving it serious consideration as it's been almost a week and I can't seem to get any relief from this back/hip pain even with tylenol/codeine and muscle relaxant. Saw my knee surgeon today and told him about it.He was all ready to order an MRI but when I told him we were heading out in the RV in 10 days he decided there was no point because if they see something, no time for treatment. But he says I DO need an MRI to see what's going on in my back. Pain is now going down the left butt and left foot is tingly since last night. Have ice on it now. There are definitely times when I WISH I were single, but to be honest, I think I'd be too depressed living alone. And I have a pretty good DH, even if he is a control freak!!! LOL! But I don't think I could put up with what Jodi is experiencing with matchmakers getting in the middle of it and constant calls for dates!! Nice to get all that attention, but it would be pretty annoying after a while. I can't get on my knees either. One night a couple of weeks ago, when I was home alone, I decided I needed to do some of my PT exercises on the living room floor. Boy was that a dumb idea!! I seriously thought I'd have no trouble getting back up! But almost ended up staying there until DH got home. I think he was down at the hot tub. But finally just had to grin and bear it and turn over on my knees. Every time I tried, it'd start hurting too much and I'd chicken out! I am very frustrated right now because I can't walk or exercise. I will go to PT in the morning, but dr. said to "go easy" this week, so they'll probably just do some massage, etc. again. Buying baby stuff is FUN!! Water aerobics is GREAT! Opted out this week, though, because of my back. Steps are very steep, and always hurts my back going up the very last step. Don't want to aggravate it any worse than it already is. Too much junk going on in my life! Whine! Whine! Whine! Grandson, almost 22 yrs old, got rear-ended on his way home from work last night. He was stopped behind a lady who was waiting to make a left turn when a young kid, barely old enough to drive, slammed in to him going about 40 mph! Kid had just pulled out of his driveway a block up the road, and said his brakes "failed". But, consensus of opinion is that HE failed to use his brakes because he was distracted.. probably using his phone. At any rate, DGS's car is totaled. He walked away with head, neck and leg hurting but refused treatment. SIL was going to take him to dr. today but haven't had any feedback on that yet. He apparently blacked out briefly, but then jumped out of his car and ran back to the kid to see if he was okay. DGS is a trained EMT and fireman, trying to find a job. Recently certified. Anyways, praise God he wasn't hurt badly. Scary stuff! Enough accidents for one family!! And our very good friend in Three Rivers CA was just diagnosed with recurrence of cancer. Double mastectomy 5 years ago and doing great ever since until she recently found a lump in her right armpit. Tests have shown she now has a tumor in her right pectoral muscle. Starting treatment all over again! A discouraging week!!

Insured with USAA. Loomis is Marsh Risk something or other... out of Texas, I think. Only been up an hour, but pain is no better this morning. Could barely walk from the bedroom to my chair. Not going to Primetimers... I would be miserable trying to sit in those hard chairs. And today's program.. someone from one of the hospitals is coming to speak on how to improve our sleep, I think. I think I've heard all that before. I don't know what to do... go back to doctor, go see the physiatrist guy I saw in June or maybe just shoot myself and be out of my misery!!:eek::thumbup: I couldn't even walk my puppy last night. I made it as far as the end of the sidewalk and had to come back. I was going to walk to the dumpster and the mailbox at least. Figured I couldn't make it all the way around but thought I could make it that far. I already told you guys about the frustrating dental appt., right?? Things aren't going so great at the moment!! You're really doing GREAT!! Calories, exercise, etc.! Good for you! I know you said chiropractor, and use ice. I have NEVER been to a chiropractor so I guess I'm a little afraid. And starting to wonder what is going on because this pain is radiating around to the front.. my left hip, waist, is where it is hurting most. TMI.... but.... it even hurts to fart!!:tongue2: I haven't tried the ice.... I know, my BAD, but.... I'm always cold... and can't stand the idea of ice. I keep thinking I need to freeze some ice bags... but haven't done it yet.

Was told we could go directly to their insurance, or let our insurance manage the claims and then get reimbursed by Loomis' insurance. Advice from others was to let our insurance handle it as things would happen quicker. That must have been right because I called their insurance on Friday and they have yet to call me back except for the personal injury inquiry today. Also called their "How's My Driving" number and they took all the info and said someone would call me back but no call back on that either. But our insurance has already taken care of the body work bill even though the work hasn't been done yet, and they waived the deductible in lieu of getting reimbursed by the other insurance. And when Earl went in to Enterprise for a rental today, we'd already been put in to their computer system by our insurance. I just wish he would have he would have held out for an SUV because they should pay for us to rent a comparable vehicle!! One medical bill... from yesterday, already submitted, too. And maybe my insurance can get me some $$$ for pain and suffering!! Sure has been a miserable few days. Don't feel like moving. But know I need to so will probably try to take a short walk in a little while.

I LOVE my lady dentist... her two associates... so-so. My appointment was with her today and I like her and her asst. so much better. And they are very chatty besides very efficient. I told them, they work together so smoothly that I can hardly tell whose hands are whose! They've got like 3 hands in my mouth at one time and I'm not the least bit uncomfortable. They just did the one small filling in the front today. The story on the crowns... one is a crown that the guy in CA did 3/09 and he didn't do a great job, but she said it was okay to just watch it for now. The other tooth... not a crown, but he put an "inlay" on it at the same time. It is apparently not sealed around the edges.. again.. a poor job and so it needs a crown now. BUT.. since he billed it as an "inlay", insurance will not pay on that tooth for 5 years... 3/14!! Out of pocket..... $1322~~!!! They said they could just watch that one for now, too, but... if it needs a crown, I think I might go down to Mexico to have it done this winter. So.....since things have been a little "heavy" around here, I'd like to offer this little "blond joke" for a moment of levity!! A girl was visiting her blond friend, who had acquired two new dogs, and asked her what their names were. The blond responded by saying that one was named Rolex and one was named Timex. Her friend said, 'Whoever heard of someone naming dogs like that?' 'HELLLOOOOOOO......,' answered the blond. 'They're watch dogs'!

    I'm here to help...

Seems a little better this afternoon, though, so just "speed read" through several pages of posts and now just have a few minutes before I have to leave for dental appt.!! But that's another story.. I don't think I told it yet, but it's pretty frustrating!! Well, you could just go all the way with us.... 6 weeks on the road... and we'll get to Desert Hot Springs just about in time to drive to Vegas for the Oct.1 weekend!!! LOL! Only requirement..... you do the cooking!! HAHAHA!! No problem! Glad you're back online now!! Lady Gaga.... you are one BRAVE woman!! Glad the unfill is working out for you! OK.... time to leave for dentist. CBL

    New 60+ Thread

Well, we're about to embark on our "winter trip" in about 10 days. We'll be taking the RV... first home to Buffalo NY for a family wedding and to see my Mom and other family on both sides. Then we'll go on to OK to visit friends there and finally on to CA for the winter. We'll be there sometime near the end of Sept. So... it's going to be a looooooonnnnggg winter!! Don't know how I'm going to like being away that long! But, it's so cold here when we come home too early in the spring.

Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!

Pain is less today. Might be meds. Took 2 muscle relaxers before bed and 2 tylenol/codeine. Still feel a little loopy from them so thinking they didn't go down right away. Will probably take 2 more muscle relaxers in a little while... when I take my Antiboitics for dental appt in about 45 minutes. Agree with Steph's advice, but I probably would give each couple a "heads up" that the other is coming. Don't think there will be any problem with claims being paid. Were notified this morning that car has already been paid for and deductible waived... being paid by Loomis' insurance. And had a phone call from them, as well, regarding my back and they assured they would pay for any related bills.

Lucky #7 are still going strong !!!

PT appt in the morning but I went over this afternoon instead to see if they could work on me. So they put a "TENS" unit on my back and left side for about 15 minutes, then one of the techs did massage with ultrasound for about another 15-20 minutes. Seemed to help a little. When I got back Zoey "demanded" a scooter ride and I didn't have the energy to fight with her. Earl let her out to greet me and she went straight to the scooter. I came in and ignored her. She sat there on the scooter barking at me. I tried to get her to come in but she wouldn't so I finally gave in and rode over to Surf Shack.. but they were already closed. But she got her ride.. spoiled little brat. Have neighbor's heating pad on me now, and I took 2 of the muscle relaxers. Seem to be getting a little relief. And I will take the tylenol/codeien in a little while. This is the pits!! Earl takes the car in tomorrow morning and they will start working on it.. first step is ordering the parts. There is an Enterprise Rental Car right in the same building. How convenient!
