Well put... all of you!! All I can really add is AMEN!!!

HAHAHA! You're a kick! We did have a good visit, didn't we! And guess what just occured to me today!??? Next year is our 50th high school reunion so we have to come to Buffalo again next summer!! NO RV next year, though. That's a long, tough trip, so we'll probably just drive the car next year. But maybe we can meet up again then with you & Julie. But we will be moving faster than 300 miles a day if we drive the car!! Earl said he wanted to cook dinner for my sister and her husband tonight... the one whose yard we have our RV parked in. So I suggested those steaks you brought us... he said NO, he's NOT sharing those!! LOL!! So he made a big pot of spaghetti sauce with gr. turkey. You'll get the weight back off. You know what to do!! I think most of us have a huge self image problem!! Actually... we're not going back! We'll leave here two days after Labor Day and head down across Ohio diagonally this time, and in to Indiana eventually picking up I-44 which will take us through Missouri and then Oklahoma. We'll spend a few days in Oklahoma before going south through part of Texas... down to El Paso and then pick up I-10 which will take us all the way to the Palm Springs area. May get to meet some more LBTers along the way!! LOL Laura... you had me cracking up.... having an affair with the repairman, etc.!! Hope things start going better. Maybe the pregnancy test was wrong!!

Finally got the internet working at my sister's! Wanted to post photos from Karen's visit with us in Indiana.

Don't understand why I didn't see those last two posts!! Very weird! Anyway.... Linda, so sorry to hear about your friend's husband. That is tragic! And Cora and the birthday drama! You have enough going on in your life to be throwing an impromptu birthday party for 25 people!! And, Karrie.... sorry to hear about what is going on in your life, too. Although, once the hurt is healed... probably a good decision to make. It will all work out, I'm sure. Moving to AZ... as much as you hate the weather in OR, excellent idea! Sounds like you have a good plan... just have to get past the roughspots you're facing initially. Hugs, especially to you two!!! -

I will have fun at the wedding, but I'm almost looking forward to the "Sisters'" Wine tour on Tuesday even more! Sister #4 gets in at midnight tonight. The four of us and two sisters that lived behind us when we were growing up are going on this wine tour. One of the other sisters has rented a limo for us for 4 hours on Tuesday. It should be a blast. OMG this dog is wearing me out!! Have to keep throwing her toys down the hall so she can bring them back. That's after I took her for a walk and two scooter rides! Visited with Mom & Uncle Ed again today. When we were leaving Ed said "see you at the wedding".... which to me was a subtle message... you've been here every day. Don't come back tomorrow! LOL! We went to see one of Earl's brothers today too, and had lunch with one of our high school classmates. We need to start planning our 50th reunion (next year). So>>> I am TIRED!! -
Our pleasure... to meet both you and Julie, and then another Karen from another thread in Indiana! What a kick to get to meet all these bandsters!! Had a great visit. Corn was wonderful... didn't eat the steaks yet. Thank you so much! Yes, Julie... wish we could've spent more time! And wish we could've sampled what was in that crock pot! LOL! It was just one of those stressful days and we WERE tired! Oh, goodness!! Reminds me that our youngest son, Steve, carried a dried up old ND salamander around in the pocket of his jeans for a few weeks.... Wouldn't give it up until the tail fell off! Gross! I think he was about 3-4 yrs old. Well... I've gotta quit and go to bed even though there are about 5 more pages, at least, that I haven't read yet!! Tired!! Busy, busy days now that we are here in Buffalo.... spending time with my sisters, Mom & Uncle Ed, went to see one of Earl's sisters today and I'm sure tomorrow he will want to see his brothers. Then we have wedding stuff all weekend and more things going on next week!!

I will run it by Earl, but at the moment it looks crazy! Tomorrow I am sure Earl will want to go see his two brothers. We went to see his oldest sister today... She and her husband are not in good shape!! I think they are around 80 yrs old. That was after we took Zoey to my cousin for grooming and took Mom and Uncle Ed out to lunch at Olive Garden... We had soup and salad. Mom looks okay, but she fell twice over the weekend and she has a torn muscle in her thigh. I think Uncle Ed looks awful. I know it's just been a month or so since his bypass surgery, but his color is terrible... like grey, and he is very thin. Lost a lot of weight and he didn't have any to lose! Both of the walking with walkers when Tracy and I couldn't persuade them to use canes when we were here a year ago. Friday is mani/pedi and lunch with nieces, sisters, etc. Saturday... all day wedding stuff. Hair in morning, wedding at 2pm and reception at 6pm. Sunday I think we are supposed to get together with one of my cousins.... her 60th birthday I think. Next day we're supposed to go out to another cousin's for lunch.. Lime Lake cottage where we used to hang out with her Mom, my Aunt Genny. Tuesday is our "Sisters Wine Tour"... all four of us and two sisters from the neighborhood we grew up in... have a limo rented from 11 a.m. until 3 pm. So... that leaves one week before we leave! Have to get together with former classmates one day, too, to start planning our 50th reunion next year. I'm thinking if we could get to Toronto at all it would probably be next Wed. or Thurs. Yes, Zoey has certainly changed our lives. Did you see my FB note the other day??? Earl was sitting in his recliner in the morning reading the paper with the dog in his lap and he says, "I think getting a dog was the BEST idea I ever had!!" BIL put me on his internet again tonight. Didn't last long last night. But tonight seems to be working. Still having trouble with my back and left foot is still nnumb and tingly. -
Got it. No Wi Fi here so have to use my phone. But was able to accept the request. When i get a good connection i will email photos to you.

Nice visit with KarenIn! Thanks for driving up, and thanks for the fruit! Can't find you on Facebook.... see if you can find me.

My niece says weather report for next weekend in Buffalo is GREAT, so hopefully you will have good weather for your party, too! Sure, I'd be interested in the beading stuff... Be happy to pay for shipping. How much stuff do you have?? Beads, etc? Yeah... remember last summer when I had my knee replacement. I think he broke my first ice machine by putting big chunks of ice that he made in bowls in the freezer in it!! So, here's my update!! Couldn't get online for the past few days. We were just plain too busy in Wisconsin... 5K walk, Tig took me to Lands End outlet, her and I went to an art show... so even though I didn't get to walk the walk, I did walk with her at the art show and shopping. It was hot and muggy. It was okay... made it by stopping and resting now and then. Left foot still numb/tingly, but back is a little better. So.. Tuesday met up with Julie in Bismarck ND. Nice lady. She came out to the RV park we were staying at and visited with us for an hour or so. Wanted to take us out to dinner, but we were kind of tired that day. Fourth day on the road and the day before had been really stressful... trouble finding an RV park and then Earl got so nasty I was ready to unhitch the car and drive the rest of the way by myself! Whenever things go wrong it's all my fault! So I decided then and there that we were NOT going more than 300 miles a day! So the next day we stopped at Alexandria MN, which is where "Apples" from the "I'm here to help" thread was going to be for a dental appt. There was a big Super Walmart there, so we did a little shopping first for some odds and ends we needed. Then went to the RV park and Karen was just a few minutes behind us. So we visited a while and then she took us out to dinner... rode in her truck. She and I split a Walleye dinner. OH.. that was GOOD fish! So... I had planned to go on to our friend's in WI the next day, but it was a little too far for one day so we stopped 100 miles short and got to her house the next morning about 10:30 a.m. She'd left the door open for us, so we had plenty of time to set up, and relax until she got home from work. That night we went out to another fish dinner! Her tenant that lives in her downstairs apartment came with us, and another couple who are friends of hers met us there. It was a fun evening. And I already told you all the stuff we did on Saturday. But... Saturday morning she made us the most delicius frittata! Egg whites, a ton of veggies.... like spinach, etc, and some low fat cheese. It was wonderful. And when we got home Saturday night she made her "famous" white chicken chili! She is quite a good cook! She made it last time we were there, so I bugged her to make some for us again! And she gave us the leftovers, so I'll be having some of it tomorrow! OH... that reminds me... when "Apples" came to visit, she brought us frozen steaks from a farmer near them, and fresh sweet corn from her farm! Finished that tonight. I thought we'd be getting to Buffalo on Tuesday, but depends on what kind of time we make tomorrow. And finding RV parks from here on is difficult. Spent more time on the computer this afternoon trying to find a place 300 miles away but it's hard to find anything between 250 miles and 350 miles. So we'll probably stop short and likely not make it by Tuesday. But that's okay. Wedding is not until Saturday. Just need time to get my nails done. Sister is making me hair appt for Saturday. OH... must'nt forget to say we had coffee with Linda and Mel this morning at a Starbucks south of Milwaukee!! It had to be a short visit, but was so good to see them! And when we got to our RV park tonight, a lady from the 60+ thread came to visit! Her name is Karen. She had her surgery the summer of 08 and she's lost 145 lb and is now on maintenance! I am so disappointed that I forgot to take pictures of Julie, and of Linda and Mel! But,here are photos of both Karens! -
Yes... do enjoy the scenery. We try to not drive more than 300 miles a day. Have to check my map. I think we do follow 80/94 after WI and etc. Leave Madison probably sunday morning. Hmmm.... don't think we'll be near Kansas City at all. Will be coming across MO on 44 to OKC, but will keep you in mind in case plans change.
-
Oh...homegrown sweet corn!! sounds wonderful. Think we'll be in by 3 pm... early enough not to be stressed out. And DH has the TV all figured out, so that should go up quick. He can't handle not having the news recorded so he can watch it when he's ready. With everything that convenient... might be able to negotiate dinner! Yeah, he doesn't deal well with having to drive too far off our route for RV parks. So I try to pick those that are close to our highway. Super Walmart.... that's great! We just need a few groceries. We'll stop there first.
-
UGH... You had to tell my it was pork ribs and sauerkraut!! One of my favorites!! We both LOVE sauerkraut and pork. Probably should have just planned to park at your house instead of here. But yesterday was so stressful and hoped to keep it simple for Earl today! And he wanted to get that DirecTV working for the rest of the trip. So.. oh, well. Next time. And... wanted to have Earl take some photos and I forgot!! He is off to the pool now and he will really enjoy that!
-
Glad you had a good visit with your folks, and super birthday celebration with your Mom!! Always enjoy your pics!! Janet... accidentally erased your post so don't know what I was going to respond to!! LOL! But... Earl was very apologetic and remorseful this morning, about his behavior yesterday!! Yeah! He was a real jerk!! Everything so much better today. QUOTE=Mrs. Bubba;1511186]I just talked to Phyll on the phone.... they are about 200 miles away from Bismarck..... they are having a bad time and Phyll isn't feeling any better..... I will go to Bismarck to meet them... not a problem at all..... Well, the posts since I last read have been a little more upbeat.... that's good to hear... Hope all are doing fine... I am waiting to hear from Apples, too... We need to know how she is.... She is just like that old watch commercial..... she takes a licking and goes on ticking........ Gosh I hope this is the end of her woes.... I must now go rethink my day.... had planned on Phyll being here later, so put supper in the crock pot... DH will have plenty to chew on for a few days.....Take care girls.... Be back later with a report on our meeting.... Julie Probably messed up passing up that crock pot dinner!! Should have planned to just go to their place and park! But yesterday was so stressful, and Earl had a lot of things to deal with today, too... mostly DirecTV setup. So... he couldn't deal with too much until it was resolved. And tired after a long day of driving! This place cost us $44!! Pretty high for RV park!! But... very nice visit with Julie while DH was working on the satellite setup! Finally got it all worked out and now he is a happy camper! He was having Fox News withdrawal! Now we have our east and west coast feeds all set up so we can record news, etc. And he fixed us a delicious spaghetti dinner in about 20 minutes! Yeah, he was dealing with the frustrations much better today. He knew he pushed me to the limit yesterday!! Pretty frustrating stuff!! And annoying! Hope they give you some right answers soon!! Dry camping... no hook ups.. no electric, sewer, water... no nothing... just use your generator and suck it up!! I remembered what I was going to tell you... DD#1, SIL, grandkids and their "significant others" flying to Hawaii on Saturday for a week and I think they are going to Maui too! DirecTV would not set up last night and had to move to overflow space today to get a satellite signal! Julie got to experience the setup!! It is working now... two receivers working, east and west coast feeds. Happy day! No more Fox News withdrawal for DH!!! Hooray!! Yes... we are really "roughing it" in our RV!! HAHAHAHA!! Just ask Julie how tough it is! She had to tolerate me playing with my puppy, who was needing to release some serious pent up energy!! Had to throw her toys down the hall over and over and over and over!! Now she is outside for a walk with DH. Well, glad you got some answers as to what was going on with your arm!! looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. You and your nuggets!!! LOL Lets get one thing straight here... LOL!! I AM IN CHARGE of navigation!! That's what got me in to all that trouble yesterday. I did my very best and it wasn't good enough! If I am in charge of navigation, then DH gets to blame any snafus on ME!! What a deal! tomorrow.So.... I planned to stop at some place called Sinclair City park or some such thing. But when Julie told me you were going to be in Alexandria tomorrow, I plugged it in to my MS Streets & Trips and found out it is exactly 297 miles from where we are here in Bismarck! After yesterdays fiasco... I made up my mind we are going NO FURTHER THAN 300 MILES A DAY. sO.. aLEXANDRIA IS PERFECT! So then I found an RV park there and that's where we will be about 3pm!.... Alexandria Shooting and RV park!! Should I be nervous about the "Shooting" part of that??? LOL! Nothing on the website about a shooting range or anything, so not sure what that is all about! At any rate... will look forward to seeing you there! Hoot!! Uh, oh... Zoey is about to get a bath in the kitchen sink... her first RV bath! She was out running around with DH meeting horses and playing ball and trying to expend some of her pent up energy and she is now filthy!! I picked a pure white dog!!@ Prepare yourself for lots of puppy kisses... ears, neck, face!! She shocked Julie (and me) by jumping from where she was on the couch with me, into Julie's lap. Julie was sitting in Earl's recliner on the other side of the RV. Shocked me because she is such a whimp!! She won't go up and down steps and usually won't jump off my lap! But she wanted to plant some kisses so bad!! Oh.... we are having Walmart Withdrawal too!! Is there a Walmart in Alexandria???? We need some things!! Like... Lite Creamed cheese, Earl's favorite boxed wine, etc.! Groceries have some gaps! Need stuff!

Trying to speed read through three pages of posts, so missed a lot, but have to get to sleep!! And working on route for rest of trip. Today did NOT go well. Trouble finding an RV park.... Julie.. we are in Forsyth MT about 320 miles from Bismarck. Plan is to stay at KOA in Bismarck. Can't talk DH in to driving 36 miles off the interstate! And he is in a bad mood after the troubles we had today. And I am ready for him to unhitch the car, let me go on alone and he can take the crabby old cat and go home or whatever!! LOL! Zoey and I can go it alone!! It wasn't that big a deal... we did find three campgrounds with no hookups, but he refuses to dry camp, so we kept on driving until we found this place. Then he couldn't get a signal on the DirecTV satellite dish and that ticked him off too! It was NOT a very good day!! It was very slow going over the mountains today, too. Hope we can make better time tomorrow. But I think 300 miles will take us until at least 3 pm. I don't have a plan!! Can you drive down to Bismarck... or maybe meet somewhere in between?? Hate to ask you to do that with all the pain you are having. And I can relate because my hip and leg have been driving me nuts today... So frustrating not to be able to walk across the street to get a cup of coffee wihtout being miserable. And numbness is gone past just my foot up the back of my leg.. as pain is going down my butt into the back of my knee. Trying to do stretches as often as possible and getting out to walk around as much as I can about every 2 hours! But hoping we can work out something for tomorrow. And... don't know where Apples is, but we'll be going through Minnesota the next day.. on I-94, cutting down towards Madison WI.. next stop after Minnesota. Pray for us that things start going better.... and PATIENCE for DH!!! And for me... cuz I might strangle him.... or take off in the car!! LOL Lori... was going to tell you something but now can't remember what it was!!!

Enjoying reading your posts. On the road in our RV traveling from our home in WA to NY state for family wedding. LONG drive, lots of frustrations, but so far weather is good.

Slowly but surely getting the phone figured out. Camera still not working, so I'll have to take it to an AT&T store as soon as I get a chance. There's a Costco right down the block from where we are tonight but Earl was too tired to stop. Bill is supposed to actually go down $5 a month. Zoey and Candy are doing great so far. Do you get any break this summer?? You're always working so hard!! -
Great pics, as always. Looks like you had a wonderful time with your family. Hope your Dad gets a good report.
-
There's an app called doubletwist that is supposed to allow you to sync with iTunes. Still haven't figured it out. Downloaded a bunch of stuff tonight including some games. Adorable photos of you and your GD!! Love it! Sorry about your dog. Hope everything turns out okay! Hugs!
-
It is a bit confusing!! Janet, Jodi, Judy, Jessica (AKA Jewel), Joyce, Julie!!??? Am I missing any "J's"??? and we can't forget the JAPS!! LOL Mortified??? OMG... I'm mortified every day... and in awe of your thoroughness!! I just speed read thorugh all the posts so I could hurry up and post something. House is all packed up and waiting for DH to get back from DD#1's house where he is unloading stuff and making sure the refrigerator/freezer are cold enough to load the refrigerator stuff. So when he gets back.. he'll be unloading our refrig, I'll grab all my last minute stuff and we're headed to the RV to sleep there tonight. So... I've set up streets & trips so it routes us through ND. If DH is agreeable to driving 36 miles off the interstate, we'll probably park at your place.. and if the times jive with our schedule. I show us getting to Bismarck about 2pm on Tuesday, but that usually has to be tweaked depending on what kind of time we're making. At any rate, I will keep you posted on our progress and let you know what the plan is. At the very least... will meet you for coffee! Is there a Starbucks in Bismarck?? Apples wanted to be included... so can someone be my go-between on that?? I don't know what kind of internet access or phone coverage I'll have on the road... usually pretty good, but can't depend on it! And I know she is at the lake again and don't remember when she's coming back or when the next dental appt or dr. appt is. Did the MRI her hand/wrist yet??? From there we'll go to Minnesota. Wonder if it'd be practical to go from Bismarck to Brainerd Minnesota... Should check that out. Old high school friend lives there, but if my memory is correct, it's qite a bit north of the interstate. So very sorry, Eva! How terrible... and heartbreaking! I have no more time, guys!! Sorry! One problem... I bought a new phone last night. Stupid to do that one day before leaving on a trip. If I'd just bought a new Blackberry, I'd be happy as a clam. But the guy persuaded me that this Android phone... Samsung Captivate... was so superior. So I got it. Now I've spent the last day trying to figure it out. I couldn't even figure out how to answer it when it rang!! And I spent a long time at the store last night and at least another hour today being coached. I still can't get it to sync with iTunes... my music, etc., or with Outlook...my calendar. It has all my contacts because I imported them to Google first. But I can't get Google Calendar to import the Outlook calendar, so I can't get my calendar on my phone! This is critical. My Blackberry has been my brains... especially when it comes to keeping my contacts up to date, and my appointments.. Pt, Dr., etc... everything goes in my Blackberry calendar and syncs to Outlook so I get reminders everywhere!! Remember my favorite excuse..... "I'm old and I forget stuff!!"" LOL! HELP!!

Is St. Mary's near Steph?? If you drop your book in the cat water you can dry it out. If you drop your nook in the cat water it is DEAD!! LOL! I sometimes read books on my iTouch. Small screen, but it doesn't bother me. And it's easy to hold in bed and don't need a book light!! Sorry you had a bad night! Hope things are looking up today! My food was great until afternoon! Small omelet, few bites of shrimp cocktail which I then dumped down the garbage disposal because the shrimp didn't taste right. But... then we met Tracy & Jim at Anthony's Homeport! Had 2 Cosmos, some crab dip, 1/2 cup chowder... not sure after the cosmos, but think I gave 1/2 of it to Earl because I wanted to leave room for my dinner!! Then I had smoked salmon fettuccine... ate 1/2, brought the rest home. I had 1 slice of bread, too. And then I got that delicious burnt cream! Yikes! Too many calories... but.... farewell dinner! And won't get to celebrate our anniversary until at least 2 weeks after the fact!! We are going to have lunch or dinner at the top of the Seagram Tower in Niagara Falls while we're home. We spent our wedding night in a hole in the wall "notel" in Niagara Falls Canada because the groom didn't think he'd need hotel reservations on a Saturday night in the middle of summer in Niagara Falls!! LOL Got a new phone last night and afraid to tell the man!! I told him I was "thinking" about it and he went on and on about how there was nothing wrong with my Blackberry!! So I went and got it anyways... When he figures it out I'm telling him it's my anniversary present!! It's a Samsung Captivate and I am having trouble figuring it out. I want it to sync my contacts and calendar and I can't get it to do that so I am somewhat frustrated. Kiosk guy told me if I come back to Target today he'll coach me and set some things up for me. So I have to do that later.. but first I have to do the things I promised... finish packing my jewelry and cosmetics and all my last minute stuff!! So... I have to go get in the shower!! -

Prison escapee from AZ. Two have been recaptured but one more and his girlfriend still on the run. Reported sighting in St. Mary MT yesterday. Had some pain this morning so took the muscle relaxant and pain pill again. Now I feel like a slug. Have PT in an hour. Promised I'd finish all my packing today.... cosmetics, jewelry, electronics and miscellaneous! It will be a challenge with no energy. But I will do it. Then, if the sun really comes out as promised, may go to Anthony's Homeport with Tracy and Jim about 4pm. Last day of packing. Tomorrow... only last minute stuff, then clean the condo, then sleep in the RV at Tracy & Jim's tomorrow night to get an early start on Saturday. Probably won't go much further than the Idaho border the first day. -
Yes, I think that is the hospital he is at. Not sure where they were looking. Will know more when I see my sister later this month. And my youngest sister is planning a baby shower for them even though they wont be there. I think she's planning on using Skype to connect with them that night. I-90 goes through N. Dakota... hoping I might be able to connect up with Julie and/or Apples for a short visit. I think we cut south to I-94--- maybe around Fargo... as we are making a stop in Madison WI..... if our friend there promises to call off the mosquitoes before we get there!! LOL! Last time we stopped to see her they almost carried us away and she says they're now holding her hostage in her house!

Sorry about your migraine! Hope it's better tonight. My back/hip is feeling better today and I just walked around the condo complex again. Started hurting again halfway around, but not intolerable. Seems to be helping to take the pain pill and muscle relaxant twice a day... just one of each. May start taking some Ibuprofen for the inflammation. And think I might see if the therapist will let me ride the incumbent bike for a few minutes tomorrow when I go to PT. Funny... I asked Earl to walk her around another time when I got back, but she won't walk with him unless I go too!! I watched him try to walk her down the sidwalk and I thought I'd fall out of my chair laughing. It was hysterical. She just plants her feet and won't move. Earl tries to drag her and she is just NOT going with him! He does have her out on the lawn now playing ball with her and one of the neighborhood cats is trying to get in on it... That would be "Hilo". He seems to enjoy playing with her, but he's the only cat out there who will. I got some cute pictures of the two of them a couple of weeks ago. But we have to wear her out at night or she drives us nuts! She was racing around here chasing her big ball last night... It's a big red ball that Candice bought her when she was here. She had it all the way back in our bathroom... But then we don't know what she did with it... can't find it tonight! It's gotta be back there somewhere... but you know men... can't find anything. He just put the ice bag on my back so... I'll go find it later. Been thinking about you today Steph... Told Earl those fugitives are thought to be somewhere along the Montana/Canada border! Be careful! Hope you're not going to be out by yourself in the RV this week!! And hoping they catch them soon.
