    Unjury

The sample pack is a great way to try them. I got the sample pack when I had surgery then reordered the vanilla and chocolate splendor. I wasn't crazy about the chicken broth one but many seem to like it. I never got around to trying the unflavored ones. Still have them. I only drink a shake maybe once or twice a week now.
  2. I switched to decaf for surgery and haven't gone back to caffeine yet. I got my mind to thinking I was drinking caffeine and now figure I won't switch back since I seem to be ok without, not to say I won't drink it if the need or situation arises
  3. 16 lbs in a month is great in my book!! Don't compare yourself to others. Stick with your plan. Your stomach is still healing. You will feel much different as more lbs vanish, Good luck with your journey!
  4. What are your guidelines for calories and protein? Are you meeting them? You mentioned you "sinned once or twice". I know it's hard to eat too much at 2 weeks out. Just curious to what you sinned with. By the way I don't think 13 lbs in 2 weeks is a bad thing at all! Shame on your Dr for telling you that. This is a journey and he for one should know that all people have different journeys. Good luck with yours!

    Does anyone miss being overweight?

I'm still overweight but sure as heck don't miss being 65 lbs lighter! Onward and upward!

    When can i start exercise

I was cleared for any exercise involving the core at 6 weeks but walking and non-core exercise were encouraged right away.

    I just don't know

It took me approx. 3 1/2 months to drink water again. I tried it hot, cold, room temp, plain and with crystal light, lemon, etc... Nothing worked. It always made me feel slightly nauseous. I could drink hot and iced decaf coffee and decaf tea, chicken broth and & sugar free popsicles with no problem. I tried water each day and now can finally drink it again pretty close to how I did pre-op. That part should get better for you and hopefully it won't take as long as it did with me. Good luck with your journey!

May sleevers! How much have you lost so far?

You all look great. So nice you've had close support since day 1 who know what you're going through!
  9. You can't go back so just try to get liquids and some protein in before the day is over.
  10. Congrats!!!!!!!! You look great!

    a pound a day

Looks like you're doing great! Keep in mind even with daily exercise those numbers might slow down now and then so there may be days or weeks with less than a lb a day loss.

    Swollen!

You may be for a while. I gained at least 10 lbs after 1 night in the hospital from the gas and IV being pumped into me. Follow your plan, walk and drink water and it will soon be gone. I waited 2 weeks post op to step on the scale.

Where do I stop...goal weight related....

laura-ven The jeans photos are priceless! What a transformation!
  15. I waited 2 weeks post op to weigh in. It's hard for many but if you can pick 1 day a week to weigh in you won't be stressing so much each time you get on the scale. If you can go longer between weigh-ins better yet but even I can't do that now It will really help you especially when the scale stops moving for week or so and that probably will happen at some point. 8 lbs is nothing to sneeze at!! Great job!!

Seems you have a vast amount of guesses.

    How old am I?

Sorry I'm a horrible judge of ages! I usually think people are much older than they are so always say 10 or more years younger when asked. So I'm guessing you're 12 Whatever age you are I'm pretty sure you will look younger later!

    Dual Insurance Coverage

I would get it in writing from Cigna prior to your surgery. Better to be safe than sorry.

My program ok'd walking and light bike riding during hospital discharge. I only walked since I don't have a bike. Exercise involving core was cleared at 6 week follow-up. Submersion in water when incisions healed completely.
