The sample pack is a great way to try them. I got the sample pack when I had surgery then reordered the vanilla and chocolate splendor. I wasn't crazy about the chicken broth one but many seem to like it. I never got around to trying the unflavored ones. Still have them. I only drink a shake maybe once or twice a week now.

A question for veterans about coffee..
MIJourney replied to JessicaAnn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I switched to decaf for surgery and haven't gone back to caffeine yet. I got my mind to thinking I was drinking caffeine and now figure I won't switch back since I seem to be ok without, not to say I won't drink it if the need or situation arises -
4 weeks out and only 16 lbs lost. Totally regretting this surgery.
MIJourney replied to OHHLALA's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
16 lbs in a month is great in my book!! Don't compare yourself to others. Stick with your plan. Your stomach is still healing. You will feel much different as more lbs vanish, Good luck with your journey! -
Stopped losing weight (and even gained) only 2 weeks after surgery - normal?
MIJourney replied to SleeveFox's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What are your guidelines for calories and protein? Are you meeting them? You mentioned you "sinned once or twice". I know it's hard to eat too much at 2 weeks out. Just curious to what you sinned with. By the way I don't think 13 lbs in 2 weeks is a bad thing at all! Shame on your Dr for telling you that. This is a journey and he for one should know that all people have different journeys. Good luck with yours! -
Does anyone miss being overweight?
MIJourney replied to Disabledaccount's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm still overweight but sure as heck don't miss being 65 lbs lighter! Onward and upward! -
I was cleared for any exercise involving the core at 6 weeks but walking and non-core exercise were encouraged right away.

It took me approx. 3 1/2 months to drink water again. I tried it hot, cold, room temp, plain and with crystal light, lemon, etc... Nothing worked. It always made me feel slightly nauseous. I could drink hot and iced decaf coffee and decaf tea, chicken broth and & sugar free popsicles with no problem. I tried water each day and now can finally drink it again pretty close to how I did pre-op. That part should get better for you and hopefully it won't take as long as it did with me. Good luck with your journey!

Ugh. Made a stupid decision and paid for it.
MIJourney replied to lawree's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You can't go back so just try to get liquids and some protein in before the day is over. -
finally down 100 pounds and it feels so good!
MIJourney replied to FDclerical's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congrats!!!!!!!! You look great! -
Looks like you're doing great! Keep in mind even with daily exercise those numbers might slow down now and then so there may be days or weeks with less than a lb a day loss.

Before and After Pics

Great job and remarkable difference already!! -
You may be for a while. I gained at least 10 lbs after 1 night in the hospital from the gas and IV being pumped into me. Follow your plan, walk and drink water and it will soon be gone. I waited 2 weeks post op to step on the scale.

1 Week Post Op Only 8 Pounds!
MIJourney replied to team135's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I waited 2 weeks post op to weigh in. It's hard for many but if you can pick 1 day a week to weigh in you won't be stressing so much each time you get on the scale. If you can go longer between weigh-ins better yet but even I can't do that now It will really help you especially when the scale stops moving for week or so and that probably will happen at some point. 8 lbs is nothing to sneeze at!! Great job!! -
Great job and good luck!!

Congrats! Big change in those photos! Thanks for posting and sooo close to you goal too:) Good luck!

Very happy for you!! Super results!

GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!

Seems you have a vast amount of guesses.

Sorry I'm a horrible judge of ages! I usually think people are much older than they are so always say 10 or more years younger when asked. So I'm guessing you're 12 Whatever age you are I'm pretty sure you will look younger later!

I would get it in writing from Cigna prior to your surgery. Better to be safe than sorry.

So happy for you! Congratulations -
My program ok'd walking and light bike riding during hospital discharge. I only walked since I don't have a bike. Exercise involving core was cleared at 6 week follow-up. Submersion in water when incisions healed completely.
