    Stretched stomach?

You may want to stay away from rice, pasta, potatoes & bread for a while. At least while you are still in your "losing" phase. Protein first and you won't have room for them anyway. Good luck with your journey

    how about decaf coffee?

Agree check with Dr or NUT. I had to go from caf to decaf during the 2 week prior but was allowed to continue decaf coffee and decaf tea right after surgery. I pretend it's caffeine

When were you able to eat? Like really eat.

sorry just getting back to this. c&p from my other post. I do 6 mini meals a day. Some stand bys for me are hot choc /decaf (15g) . 2 light mozzarella string cheese (12g). Chobani Lemon Greek Yogurt (15g). Boars Head Ever-roast deli Chicken 2 oz (13g). Al Fresco chicken sausage (14g). Morningstar Spicy Black Bean Burger (11g).1 pouch tuna/1/2 c 1% cottage cheese (31g). Gortons Simply Bake Tilapia (20g). Unjury protein powder 1 scoop/8 oz skim milk (29g) and sometimes I add 2 T of PB2 which brings it to 34g. Each one of these standbys is 1 mini meal for me. I don't have room for anything after eating it. Don't eat them all on the same day but keep my cals under 900 for the day. I shoot for 90g a day.

I can't say I've eaten what I would call "a meal" yet. I think of a meal as having more than 1 item in it. Though I eat 5-6 mini meals a day they are usually 1 item.
  14. Congrats on your HUGE loss!!! You definitely need more than 20g of protein. I shoot for 90g/day most of that coming from food and under 900 cals a day. I do make a protein shake 3 or 4 days a week if I'm not going to get in in by food alone. My nails are growing like crazy. Keep needing to clip them. I'm hoping it helps with hair loss too:)

My sleep test kept me awake

It's a plastic tube in your nose to either provide oxygen or track your breathing in the case of the sleep study.

    not eating enough

Sorry you're having a problem eating. The 1st 2 weeks I was way below on daily requirements on protein, liquids and cals but by week 4 I was much improved. Hope you find something that works for you. You definitely need to get some protein in you.

    Eating before surgery?

You don't want to be a "code brown" on the OR table

    setback today. forceful vomiting.

Glad it's over! I had to give up caffeine pre-surgery but thank goodness I was ok'd for decaf both before and after surgery. I think the caffeine can irritate your tummy lining. I fake myself out into thinking the decaf is caffeine

    Energy

If you were only at 200 cals a day a week ago that probably does have a lot to do with lack of energy. Getting enough liquids in? Now that your numbers (cals and grams) are going up energy should too.

My sleep test kept me awake

Sorry for your delay and the tech on her way to work:( My sleep study kept me up also but due to the dang nasal cannula stuck in my nose. The tech cut it down as he said my nose was small but it kept reverberating off my nostrils just by breathing and I could only fall asleep for a few minutes at a time. Asked if there was another option and he said no. I ended up leaving at 1am and went home after I asked if he got enough data on me. Weird thing is during surgery I also had a cannula when I woke up but it was no problem and very flexible so not an issue. Good luck with yours being scheduled again soon.

    Eating before surgery?

All drs are different. I had to do clear liquids the day prior. My dr did not require a pre-surgery "cleanse" because of the 2 week pre-op being so lo-cal and clear liquids the day prior.

What are your long term fitness goals

    1. Down-hill ski again (lived in CO ski town in the 70's, worked on the mountain and skied to work and back each day). Have not been on skis for approx. 16 years. 2. Hiking. I'm sure there's more but 2 off the top of my head.
