    Not much but...

You give me hope! I would kill to look like you right now!!! I look like how you used to look..I carried weight in the exact same place...and now look at you!! So alive and happy!
  2. The cost for my surgery with Dr. Lopez is 4900$ in October... I found airfare from here in Canada in Victoria BC to San Diego for 400$ through Air Canada
  3. Just wondering what type of staples that are used. I dont want to have a reaction to whatever metal they use..or whatever they use? The reason being..when i was 12.. I had nickel earings and i got an infection in my ears ..same with stainless steel eyebrow ring..so what kind of metal do they use?
  4. I am going to MI Doctor in Tijuana Mexico in October 8th. My doctor is Dr. Lopez. I fly into San Diego(Yes you need a passport) and you meet Abraham who shuttles you through the boarder into Mexico. He drives you to the Marriott hotel, where you stay for the night. The next morning Abraham drives you to Mi Doctor hospital, you have surgery in the morning or the afternoon..You then recover in a private room, nurses and doctors are great at checking on you and Eduardo is available for all your medical questions/needs. Then, after you go through the leak tests and your cleared to leave the hospital..you go with your drain still in , back to the Mariott...and its another 2 days there, and ive heard you can go sightseeing with others with Abraham..and the last day, Abraham drives you back over the boarder so you can catch your flight at the airport. You pay your 500$ deposit, pick your date, fill out your medical questionaire and send it to the patient co-ordinator( I have Janese, she is awesome!) and then the rest is due upon arrival. Dont worry about your doctor and letters , they send you back with all the info regarding your surgery and tests..but make sure you have someone who can check up on you post op a month from surgery, to make sure your all good.
  5. Hey All I know this is a funny question, but did you throw up just after surgery during recovery or after you got sleeved? Did it happen often? If not , what did you experience in the way of nausea? I know it sounds funny, but I am a major Puke-a-phobe. I haven't puked since I was 7 and Im now 27..Due to a very very bad case when I was 7, even the slightest amount of nausea gives me anxiety attacks and I often end up drugging myself with Gravol(Anti-Nausiant) So I am just wondering what its going to be like, or what should I expect..because i get anxious just thinking about being post op and recovering. I hate hospitals!
  6. I have Dr. Lopez in October 2013..feels like forever away..but hey..Im excited..

    Just Great...

Oh i hear ya...my parents were the same way. They were concerned at first. However, my mom is a nurse who works in Hospice and she knows of people who have had success, so she isn't as concerned as she used to be..I had the same idea..if they dont like it...then tough..its my life..
