I am so so happy for you! I can't wait to see your successes along the way. You should be so proud.

You look AMAZING!

I don't have issues with either flavor, but if you have Torani flavored sugar free syrups try those as welll.
What a great idea!
I am pre-op and trying to get into the swing of drinking these as a Meal Replacement now. I do like the EAS carbadvantage better than premier, but these will be better on the go. I can tolerate them well over a cup of crushed ice. One fits perfectly over a full cup of ice in a large Tervis Tumbler. I like the Syrup idea a LOT.

Eh, I figure I had a lime sized brain tumor removed from my brain and lived. I must be far too ornery to give in to a stupid blood clot or leak.

I'm practicing pre surgery and I am so grossed out. For real. Eh...I brought this on myself, right?

Thanks all! I do need to work on smaller bites. I guess I am so used to eating so fast that sitting there and chewing is torture along with the texture of the food. I am seriously hoping to be someone who never has a taste for food again. Gawd knows I've had more than my share!

Water weight! When you exercise, your muscles hang on to water. Keep your sodium down and keep doing the right thing.

Uhh...aren't spinach and broccoli veggies?

glop without wanting to vomit?
My surgery is on 5/16 and I have a two week liquid diet, pre-op. I am trying to get all my ducks in a row.
I have cut most carbs.
I have started replacement shakes for Breakfast and will replace lunch or dinner with them soon.
I am cutting back on Coke Zero. (KILL ME NOW!!! It's like crack.)
I am carrying Water all day long and trying to sip instead of gulp.
...
I am really trying to chew, chew, chew, chew, chew, chew, chew, chew...
It's repulsive. Seriously repulsive.
The more I think about it, the more I want to vomit.
Anyone else?

That's wonderful! Thank you so much.

OH GOOD!! Thank you so much. I thought it was liquids ONLY, no food. Are we allowed to have veggies or fruit throughout the day? I have some highly physical days during that period (martial arts camps) and we sweat for two to three hours so I know those days will be miserable without some sort of nourishment.
I appreciate it!

Thanks! My nurse told me I could take them and I will ask again before the two weeker. Fifty pounds pre-op is fantastic!!

Richmond, VA here and having surgery with Dr. Bautista on May 16th. Anyone know the details of his two week pre op liquid diet?
-
My surgery is scheduled for May 16th (WOOOHOOOO!) and I am so excited I can't stand it. I've been mulling this decision over for a few years now and watched four of my friends go through the process last year, all of them very successful but all of them with various pre-op diets. None of them had to do the two week liquid diet pre-op as I do, one of them actually had to do nothing at all. She ate like a piglet right up till the night before. :faint:
I am pretty physically active now for a fat girl. I do martial arts 3-4 times a week and for my job, I am from one extreme to another. I am either walking all day or sitting on my fat ass in front of a computer for six hours. I work from home, so I try to do computer work on martial arts day and vice versa. I've not yet gotten the details of my pre-op diet (that will be next Thursday), but I figure I have two weeks to start easing myself into the transition.
I am extremely obsessive compulsive, so I want to make sure I am setting myself up for success and not going overboard too fast.
I am thinking I am going to start substituting a Protein Shake for Breakfast each morning starting today.
EAS Carb Advantage
110 calories
4 carbs
17 Protein
1 Fiber
For lunch, it's easiest to buy a roasted chicken breast, add in some veggies, and I really need to throw some carbs in there while I wean myself off.
For dinner, repeat lunch but with a different protein.
If I can hang on to this for a few days, I will have the same breakfast, same lunch, and swap out dinner for another Protein shake.< /p>
I am most worried about my heavier physical days. I do not want to break down and eat the house down as I am prone to do on the days I swim laps for a few hours. I also don't want to feel weak and dizzy during the big martial arts testing day I have coming up halfway through my two weeks hence my need to prep myself. I am truly tired of setting myself up for failure as I am sure most of us have experienced in this never ending yo-you fat person world.
Thoughts? Tips? What worked for you?
Also, my family doctor gave me a script for phentermine and I love it. If anyone has used this, were you allowed to do so during your two week phase? I'm so scared to give up all my crutches, but I **WILL** do what I have to do to get to the finish line.

I regret it every day. Every time someone posts a similar question about regrets. I respond & speak my truth...I regret it. I would not do it again. I hope I feel differently in time; I am 1 month post-op. I know myself, I don't foresee that happening...but my goal must be now to accept I have done it & make the best out of it.
Best of luck to you! Everybody is different. Many, many people on this site are very happy with their wls decision. Do what is best for you & your situation! Take care!
