    2 hours

I forget to eat because I'm not hungry. Really need to concentrate on protein as I'm only getting about 30g a day. Liquid isn't an issue but can't do protein shakes.

    Am I unusual?

I didn't have a great deal of pain post op, but it was impossible to put my left sock on alone for about 2 weeks. Bending at the waist was really hard!
  5. Mine is called Siobhan. She's a very good girl except she won't let me have enough fibre to poop. I imagine her as a very slim, freckly, pale skinned, brunette who never overeats and wears cute, fashionable clothes. Lol.
  6. I have the opposite issue!! Sleeved 5/28 and if I don't take a laxative everyday I don't go. Stimulant ones gave me terrible diarrhoea last week so I'm back to the glycerin suppositories. Other than the runs last week I have only been 4 times in 5 weeks. Going to have to talk to gp about it. I'm getting in loads of liquids and taking fibre supplements but still can't go without extra help.

    Week 7

Try going back to liquids for a few days. But make sure you're getting your protein in. There's also something called a 5 day sleeve test you could try. It takes you back to clears, then full liquids, puréed and soft solids. Google it. Not sure how effective it is but might be worth a try.

    Stall ?

I stalled week 3 too. Weight started coming off again last weekend. And I'm 4 weeks post op today!! 34lbs gone from pre op to now. I've lost almost 6lb a week. Amazing. Never lost this much weight without starving myself. Happy me!
  9. I too put on weight while on the hospital. It came off over about a week. I hit the 3week stall too and actually gained weight on 500 calories a day. Once I started going to the bathroom halfway through that week it started coming off. I'm now down 34lbs since my pre op diet.
  10. Whenever I've eaten out since surgery I've only eaten a little of my hubby's meal. If he has meat and veg I just take a few spoonfuls for myself and he eats the rest. Saves money!!! I still enjoy my food, just eating way less.
  11. I'm 4 weeks post op and I've been on soft solids since the start of week 3. Finding that I can eat anything. Even had beef stew last week. Small amounts of everything, of course. My beef stew was 3 pieces of meat, 4 slices of carrot, 1 slice off mushroom, 2 baby potatoes and a little gravy. It was about 1/3 cup and I was stuffed!!
  12. My hubby has been very supportive too. And I mow weigh less than him for the 1st time in about 15 years. It feels great.

    May sleevers results so far!

Yay!! The scale finally moved. 3 week stall over and down another 2lbs. That's 34 down from my highest weight of 211.
  14. I used them 3 1/2 weeks ago and have no regrets.standards not the same as I'm used to (cleaning hospital rooms) but facility was spotless on arrival, surgery went fine, I was feeling great right after and day staff are very attentive. Night staff were hit and miss. 1st night they ignored my bell and 2nd night nobody spoke English. Would recommend to anyone. Christy answered email from my hubby ( he was worried, my op took 4 hours because of adhesions) within minutes, got answers from the drs and reassured him that all was well.

    Sleeve: The UNTOLD Story

I too am in Canada and chose to go to Mexico for surgery. 5-7 year wait times in Alberta were the issue. I went with Drs Valenzuela and Cabrera in TJ and my only regret is that I left my hubby at home. I was lonely! Lol. Walked to the local mall the day after I left the hospital, 45 minutes up hill from the hotel. Drs, nurses, coordinators and drivers were all great, as we're the hotel staff. I was dropped off at San Diego airport at 8am and my flight wasn't till 6 hours later but I sat and read sipping my Gatorade until it was time to check in and go through security. I would recommend my surgeons to anyone with the proviso not to expect same cleanliness standards as at home. Room wasn't cleaned while I was in it (at mi dr) sheets not changed and bathroom not cleaned but everything was spotless when I arrived.
  16. Yes. I was having vegetable soup after a week.
  17. I've been drinking tea (proper English tea) since my leak test. I'd be climbing the walls without it. It constitutes most of my liquid intake although I do try to drink water in between cups of tea.
  18. Bread hasn't been an issue at all. And I'm only 3 1/2 weeks post sleeve. Can't stay in ketosis because I'm diabetic and get really ill. My dr has told me to eat a balanced diet. Lots of fruits, veg healthy carbs and some lean meats and fish. Haven't had white bread, just whole grain and only 1 slice max per day. Haven't had any pasta or rice but when I do it'll only be whole grain.

    Swallowing pills post op

I've been taking all my pills since day 3. Vitamin is huge and haven't had any issues. And I take handfuls at once!

    How slow?

It takes me upto 15 minutes to eat a meal and 8 minutes for a piece of toast.
  22. So happy to see that I'm not the only one who has gained weight on 600 calories a day. I was sleeved 28 May and had lost 32lbs since pre op diet but then I stalled and put on 5lbs last week. It made me very anxious and depressed but feeling a little better now. Roll on the end of this stall so I can get happy on the scales again! Lol.
