  1. That 1st week is REALLY hard!! It gets better trust us. My best advice don't worry about your protein for a little while just sip and get your fluids in . Prayers!

  3. Hey , I went through the same things . Hang in there !! Really I mean it . I was sleeved 6 months ago and it had changed my life . It was hard at first don't get me wrong . I missed food so much ! I would cry at the drop of a hat . Angry at what I had done for a while . But, once I started to eat soft then normal foods then I realized there wasn't anything I couldn't have but just in small amounts . I had one small miniature 3 musketeers for Halloween and that's all I wanted. I am not going to deprive myself but eat well and allow myself occasional treat. I have lost over 70 lbs including my pre- op . Message me if you need support !

  5. I couldn't stomach the chewables at all ! I am 5 months out and ever since month 3 , I take women's centrum petite s they are 1/2 the size if a regular multi vitamin . My nut looked at them and said they were fine to take . I didn't have any trouble swallowing these at all . My Nut said to take 4 a day

  9. Hello, I'm 12 weeks out and have lost 57lbs But, I have a lot of pain. Not from the surgery but back and knee and hip . I really miss my NSAIDs !!!! Any suggestions for pain management ? Don't want to rely on narcotics . I have tramadol but don't take it unless really bad . Thanks in advance for your replies .
  10. Hey, It took a couple weeks for me to sleep in the bed. I gave a comfy recliner I slept in. Everyday I would try to lay in the bed then one day it just quit hurting when I laid down . Hope that helps, hang in there !

  12. Hey everyone , Jennie here from Maysville Ky. I work on Edgewood Ky at St Elizabeth and that's we're I had my surgery too . Dr Moon did a great job! I am almost 3 months out and have lost 50lbs.
  13. I was sleeved on June 6th . As of today including my pre-op diet I gave lost 40lbs . I am so glad that I did this! I have had my struggles but my knees already feel better , I can bend over now , and so much more ! God bless to everyone . My prayers include everyone that is on this journey , I feel like I am a part of a "sleeve " family
  14. Good luck today! I am aliittle over 3 weeks sleeved and the first few days are aliittle rough but time flies really fast and now I feel great! You will do awesome! God bless
  15. I am 10 days post op and it does get better! Alittle every day. Just hang in there ! It is very difficult I know,I broke down on day 5 and just cried but on day 10 feeling better . It's true that the swelling goes down aliittle every day as your stomach heals. Prayers

    Oh girl!! I have 5 more days until I at the purreed stage . I can't wait!!! I am so sick of all the artificial sweetened stuff I can barely get it down yuck!! Counting the days!!
  17. I am still on liquids just getting ready for when I move to the other stages and I have to go back to work . I work in the hospital field and can't just stop to eat when I want too . Just trying to get a feel of things .
  18. I am newly sleeved 1 week , my question is say when you eat a meal like breakfast for example how long do you feel it takes your sleeve empty so that you can have a snack?? My dr wants his patients to have 3 meals and 2 snacks so wanting the veterin sleevers to help me with this. Thanks
  19. I was sleeved on thurs the 6th . Overall it hasn't been too bad. My H&H dropped on day 2 in the hospital and I had to stay until Sunday . Lots of rumbling and feel gassy everytime I drink of anything ! Can't sleep in my bed hurts too bad I can't sleep on my back so I have been in my recliner ! It's not too bad . I have tried a pillow but that's not really helping yet but hopefully soon! I am looking forward to the purreed stage !

  21. I was supposed to go home today by my H&H dropped from a 10.2 to a 8.6 could be the IV fluids or a bleed Scared!!! Has this happened to anyone else ?
  22. First of all no nausea !! That's the good news . The bad part for me is all the abdominal gas pains yuck! Belching ok but they want gas out the other end !! Haven't done that yet!
  23. My surgery went well today too !! No nausea and moderate abdominal pain but its not anything that Vicodin can't fix ! God bless all of us !
  24. Well , I am sitting here at 5am on the day of my surgery , still hoping that I am making the right decision ! You see, I love food ! Love parties where you eat two big plates of yummy appetizers , and thanksgiving when you eat till you can't move But, on the other side I hate being fat! I hate how I feel , I hate my joints hurting all the time ! And, I hate not being able to keep up with my basketball star 10yr old daughter ! So, will I miss the food YEP!! But, does the good out weigh the bad ! Most definitely ! Keep all of us getting sleeved today in your prayers!
