Hey girly congrats I had ny surgery in June. I was in pain for about month. Make sure you use your pain medicine it literally works wonders. I didn't have diarrhea but its hard to get Protein in trust me. Don't lose hope it might just be how your body is adjusting.

Glad you found something you like. Just an idea... would it be possible for you to mix in a half a scoop of an unflavored Protein powder into that to up your protein (10g just doesn't seem like a lot for a protein drink). Remember you are gonna have a very tiny tummy and have to get in a lot of protein (65-80g) So be creative on how to get in the most "bang for your buck" as far as how much your tummy can hold in a day.
Keep experimenting!
thanks for the advice i will definitely will try to mix it.I wasn't even thinking of how little the protein was i was just think YES i found something i like lol

Welcome Nono! I'm proud of you for taking charge of your health at 21! My highest weight was also 320, and if I would have gone ahead and had bariatric surgery, I wouldn't have waisted so much of my 20's missing out on stuff.
You only have a few weeks girl! Get excited, and be sure to keep us posted. (My surgery date is not until June).
yea I want to enjoy my youth while i can and be happy with it

hello everyone my name is nono and i am new to this site. I am 21 years old and now weighing the highest i have ever weighed which is at 320 pounds and I am 5'9". I have been considering bariatric surgery for a couple of year now and then went to a seminar in november at brigham and women's hospital. I thought to myself i am definitely doing this. Now I have my date schedule and it finally became all too real for me. I will be getting the sleeve done one May 9th, 2013 and I am excited and scared at the same time. I told my self 2013 is the last year for me to be overweight (which i say every year) but this year is different and I just can't wait for my life to change. I hope to chat and get to know a few people on here and hopefully get more tips and advice from people who have been through this as well as in the same spot as I am.
