  1. Thanks! It is truly a lifestyle change. But once you embrace it and start seeing the weight fall off you won't look back! Good luck to you guys and I wish you a safe surgery and a speedy recovery!
  2. Go girl!! You look FABulous! Congrats!!
  3. Good morning fellow sleevers!! I woke up this morning feeling like a new person. I have really been going thru an emotional roller coaster since surgery. because I really missed all my comforts that food has brought. Angry because I was hungry and frustration because I'm still trying to gauge what is actually a sip. But today I looked at myself in the mirror and realized my face is slimming and my legs are looking normal and less like tree trunks!! This was the best and smartest decision I've ever made. My life is in such a good place and my support team is awesome!! My family has changed their eating also and my 5 year old is very conscious of good food and bad. I Luv it!! HW 363 SW 348 CW 330
  4. Yes it is a very emotional process. But the key is to remember WHY you went this drastic. This isn't anything to be taken lightly and it's not easy. You have to do the work. Anything worth Having is worth working for it. I'm very thankful my recovery has been complication free.

  6. I'm 7 days postop is it too soon to get on my elliptical?
  7. I know how you feel!! Same day same feelings! I have never been so excited to eat hummus in my life but I'm wondering what do you eat with it? I know we can't eat bread or pita chips.
  8. Your slimmer face definitely brings out your eyes more. Your such a cutey!! Watch out fellas!! ; ) Luv your eye make up!! Too sexy! Work it Ma!!
  9. A question was asked to people who are in a similar situation. I think your personal lectures on "backsliding" and such is really uncalled for and rude. We all have vices but they're not the same. The analogy using AA was good except when you go to a meeting and admit you fell off they don't get lectured they get support to fight another day. The purpose of this forum so I thought was for support. The purpose of our new tool is ultimately to learn how to live life with things in moderation. If you can drink soda, eat dessert, drink alcohol and any other taboo behaviors in moderation then your on point!! Less judgment people we get enough of that from "regular" people no place for it here. Have a blessed day! ; )
  10. Is it painful to touch or achy? Were your legs swollen before surgery? Did you have leg pumps on in hospital? I had cankles prior to surgery and now that they're down they are achy but its getting better daily. Good luck!
  11. I've been doin water and protein shakes since surgery. Tried skim milk Thursday and my belly rumbled crazy! I Luv Edy's sugar free pops and yes I got Italian ice also. I work in a hospital and yes their broth is tasty! Although I have a delayed "dumping" feeling when I swallow. Then I either burp or hiccup. Is this because my belly is still new?
  12. Can't remember if its broth only or can I do tomato south?
  13. I know I'm doin what's best for me and my health but I'm 4 days postop and I'm wondering if this was the right decision. I'm hungry and I'm sick of my stomach rumbling!! I'm already missing food! The liquid preop and postop phase is killer!! Can't wait to chew something of substance. Just needed to vent I'll be ok tomorrow.
  14. I had surgery Monday and I just went today.
  15. Yes that does seem pretty long! I only had to stay overnight. Once I was able to eat a Popsicle and keep my protein shake down I was released.
  16. Totally normal. I ate fried chicken 3 days before my surgery and I'm doin just fine 3 days post op! Try not to keep slipping and absolutely no cheating after 3 days preop. Good luck!! ; )
  17. So sorry about your experience. If the other place doesn't work out I highly recommend my physician here in Toledo,OH. I had surgery monday and my experience with Mercy Weight Management has been phenomenal!! Luv Dr. Matthew Fourman! It's also done robotically so it's minimally invasive and I'm little to no pain!! Good luck!
  18. I was sleeved on Monday and I feel great! My family is amazed at well I'm doing. I walked around the block twice today and I'm getting in 32 oz of liquid. Luvin my life!!
  19. I'm 3 days post op and I vacuumed today! No problems I jus did it slowly.
  20. I'm 3 days post op and I'm up to 2 shakes and 16 oz of water which equals 32 oz. I learned if I drink while I walk its easier to go down and I feel less bloated. Hope this helps!
