  1. If they are sugar free? You should be ok to use. Have you tried isopure mixed with crystal light lemonade? I did that with the blueberry/raspberry & I LOVVVE IT!!! You don't taste the protein after taste & it's so refreshing. Just my opinion. Congrats on joining the losing team!!! Yeah for us!!!
  2. You will do great!! Stay strong & positive & do what your doctor tells you to do & you should be fine. Saying prayers for comfort during your recovery.
  3. I was very lucky and had no issues. I highly recommend right out of recovery, put a heating pad on your back for a few hours then switch to your front side. It helped so much with gas!!! Today is day 4 & I still have NOT had to break out my Gas-X strips yet!!! Good luck!
  4. Me too , I brought my laptop but haven't use it. I was sleeply. I would check in here and then to sleepy to do anything but walk the halls.
  5. I immediately used my heating pad once I came from recovery. I placed it on my back and slept. Then I slept for two hours , then I placed it on my front on my chest and I hardly had any gas! I think that's the key. I was sooooo scared! I walked a lot also. But I really feel the heating pad has helped. I bought gas-x strips but I haven't had to use them yet. Try the heating pad and see if that helps.
  6. So u took jello or pudding and put it into the Protein shake? If so, was it in powder form or already made?
  7. Thanks for the tip!
  8. You will do great! I am 2 days out and feeling great! I was one of the lucky ones! Not much pain for me. I got dry heaves a couple of times but nothing like having a c-section or breast reduction. This was a cake walk compared to those two! You need not to worry, you got this sister!!! Sending prayers for comfort & quick healing!!!
  9. I was sleeved on Monday the 24th & feeling the same as u, no erge to eat & on liquids for the first two weeks.
  10. Good luck! I'm still in the hospital 2nd day and feeling great!
  11. I bet u will be shocked when u check in at the hospital on how much more weight you've lost! My first week was only 3 lbs!!! How exciting!!!
  12. I was just sleeved yesterday morning at 7:15am & on Sunday evening I drank a bottle of magnesium citrate. My doctor DID NOT tell me to, but I wanted to "cleaned out" it didnt kick in for 3 hours. Then it was just watery. Probably because the last two days I just had Protein drinks. I could not sleep the two niggts before at all either. But for me, I've been one of the "lucky" ones. No major issues! I did have an reaction with my i.v. though. My arm swelled up in the needle spot the size of a tennis ball! I guess the vain was real small and it didn't get in The right spot. I did have gas pains, but only hurt when I TRIED to drink!!! My tummy is sore but that's been a cake walk for me! I have walked several times around the nurses station and that has helped a lot!!! One other thing I 've not heard on here is that it's hard to pee. I haven't drank but one&a half oz. Of beef broth and did it to fast & got sick. So the only oth fluids I've had jave beem through the I. V. I finally voided about an hour ago! I have NOT HAD BUYERS REMORSE yet. Praise God!!! On my 2 week pre-op diet that was low carbs , I lost a total of 13lbs!!!! Hope this helps calm your nerves. I will pray for you and the rest of the JUNE SLEEVERS!!! Stay blessed!
  13. I'm on my way to the Hospital now, have to be there at 5:30! Surgery at 7:30! Good luck to all the sleevers this morning!!! Sending {{{{hugs}}}} & prayers!
