This phase starts for me next week is there any where to find foods that will actually taste good pureed?

Me too! I'm ready to at least start pureed food because im over these shakes lol atleast in that phase we can try different foods...my dr said not to try pureed until week 3 but I think I will try it at least the 2 days before mt actual 3rd week lol

Each day is better still full of gas and sore and I cant get in a full Protein Shake to save my life! Lol. ..its normal to be nervous just follow your dr instructions and you will be just fine good luck to you!

I had to stay an extra night because I had a reaction to the anesthesia. . but im feeling a little better now

No I didn't. .. but my dr wrote me a letter stating how I have knee and feet pain and how this interferes with me working out.i sent that letter out with my appeal and was approved in 30 days

They denied me.. Said that I had to lose 10% of my current or highest recorded weight and that the info my dr submitted showed that I gained weight and since I went from Bcbs of IL to BCBS of TN that I have to do a different eval with the psychologist than what I already had done... Im super frustrated!!!!

I have BCBS TN my paperwork was sent out today but I haven't lost any weight and its frustrating that you spend so much time money and effort and that your insurance can deny you for not losing enough BEFORE surgery! But Im crossing my fingers that it gets approved!! Good luck! :-)

I'm waiting too! I have BCBC TN and Mine was sent off today and I heard that I may have to lose 10% of my body weight which is 27 pounds!!! I'm sooo scared because if I could lose that quick then why would I need to do surgery?! So I'm nervous just like you!!! Good luck! :-)

Found out today that my insurance "renews" at the 1st of June and I will not meet my deductible to have my insurance covered 100%. I have my insurance through my parents so I went to their house to talk to them about it. My parents are being so super supportive my mom has been paying the out of pocket expenses for the psych eval and the nutritionist visit. They told me come hell or high Water they will figure out a way to get my surgery done.... From my parents that means they are going to tap into savings to pay the 2' date='500 or they both are going to start going to the doctors for every ailment that they haven't taken care of yet..... Which means time off work and still money out of their pocketsI am so extremely thankful but I feel like its too much, that I shouldn't allow this big of a "gift"... I'm so upset right now I'm in tears... :'([/quote']

Oh wow!! Well you should feel loved because your parents feel that your worth it and that truly is a blessing!!!

I too have BCBS of TN! What my doctor told me is that BCBS is one of the easier insurance companies to get approval if not the easiest. My only concern with mine is they require a %10 weight loss before i can go head with surgery.

Yes I read that too, but I was wondering why they just can't use the precious years or months for your weightloss or how would they even know if u really didn't lose that much

I have BCBS Tn and I didn't have any problems. My surgeon's office was awesome and did an exceptional job submitting the paperwork and had a quick turn-around!

Well I wish you luck and hope everything works out ok. Most insurances now a days seem like they are all covering weight loss surgery because in the long run its less medical bills down the road if they do.
