Ho slowtogo, what plan do you mean? Did you get a meal plan? I have been trying to "wing it" myself...could be why I'm stalled !! lol
-
Hi winningatlosing. How much weight have you lost? I used Dr. Joya too but I find I am stalled already..surgery was Feb11th. Just looking for some one else's experience.
-
There are quite a few lending institutions that support surgeries in Mexico. Go onto the surgeons websites and they usually have them listed there. I used Dr Joya in 2011 and went through Medicard (Canadian) with no issues at all.
Hi heidivonh I used Dr. Joya too. How much weight have you lost? Did your weight come off quickly? I find my weight is coming off very slow...I'm just wondering if it's just me.

I had mine done in Mexico. I didn't want to be on such a long waiting list. I had it done this past Feb. Not losing much weight

Shmily I had my surgery Feb 11th. Thank you for the suggestions. I bought these charcoal pills at the pharmacy...when I tried to take a pill today the capsule opened up and poured all over my hand and in my purse...I was mortified!!! It looked like I had spilled toner all over me Needless to say I never got to try it to see if it works or not.
Are any of you having issues with gas ?
I am a month out and am eating regular food, do you think maybe thats the problem? I mainly eat chicken (grilled)

Help...I have so much gas (intestinal) and I can't figure out why. Can anyone help me please ?

Hi, congrats to you !!
I am 1 month out and am struggling with what I should be eating now. I don't like fish or eggs and I don't seem to have any restriction. Any advise you can offer would be appreciated

Thanks ladies. The pain has subsided for now thankfully.

Music1618 I wish I could call my Dr. but I had it done in Mexico. I did however email him, he said to wait a couple days to see if the pain goes away...if not then I head to the hospital
This is scary....

Thanks for replying copmom. I wish it was gas...but it's definitely not I thought about my gallbladder too but I don't think so. I feel a bit better today thankfully but now the pain is on my back. I don't know whats going on. I figure since I am only a month out, maybe I am just healing? I hope anyhow.

Can anyone help me...I have such a bad cramp. At least I think it's a cramp. It is right under my right breast. It is such a sharp pain and I can't seem to get rid of it. I've had it since lunch time. I currently have a heating pad on my tummy oh and it seems to be radiating to my back. Is this normal? Can anyone help please ?
-
I really appreciated having my heating pad to keep on my stomach, it helped with the pain as well as the gas pain. Also some comfy slippers for all the walking.
All the best to ya !!.

1020 I am 5'1" and was 100 lbs over weight too, I had a Vsg done Jan 21, 2013 but I've just had the revision to a bypass dine on Feb 12, 2014. I only lost about 45 lbs even though I followed the program to the letter. If I were you I would research the sleeve and bypass to see what you think will work for you long term. PS: the bypass hurts less if you do it first (speaking from experience) good luck. Let me know what you decide.

Wow your the first and only response !!
I just had mine done on Feb 12th. I am in quite a bit of pain, finding it a little hard to breathe.
Did you have any pain or this much pain?
-
Hi all, I just had my surgery on the 12th in Mexico. I had a revision from vsg to a bypass. I was discharged the next day. I am in alot of pain still and it's hard to breathe and stand up right. Has anyone experienced this? When can I expect to feel better?
-
I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions. I'll definitely try some of the options you've suggested

Wow thank you for being so honest, I really appreciate that. It sounds like your staying on the right track for sure. Glad to hear you pitched the junk
What do you do if your out and want to grab something to eat? Most of the crap out there is fried...I am worried about being able to make a good choice at that point. Have you come across that ?
