  3. Hi all I was sleeved 23/4. Discharged 25/4. Was on clear fluids and started protein shakes, soups etc yesterday 26/4. I found walking helping alot. Felt heaps better after actually sleeping in my own bed. Never took pain meds yesterday and hopefully it can continue. Battling to get the volumes in but seems with each meal and depending on how dense the food is, determines how much I am able to have. Started my B12 dots, multivitamin and losec yesterday. Takes a bit if getting used to as surprisingly that also fills you up. I think this is a gift and will be a challenging journey, but take it a step at a time, follow your drs orders, you have us all for support and above all keep your chin up and keep smiling! ????

  5. Hi all Well my surgery is tomorrow and let's just say.....I am wide awake and should be sleeping lol. I am as nervous as ever!! The focus should be on what you/we want to achieve - long term weight loss, longevity, improved health, happiness, etc. Why did you embark on this journey? When you answer that with confidence, everything else shouldn't matter. As with all surgeries, there are risks. Just make sure you have a good hospital with good dr's and staff. Take care R
  6. 4kgs down after the 1st week of pre-op. Surgery scheduled 23/4.......nervous and excited at the same time!
  7. Hey, I have Optifast bars and Bariatric Advantage shakes and bars but prefer them To optifast. I have optifast Soup but its awful!! Keep drinking Water throughout the day. I was told that if I really get hungry I can have a few free veggies like cucumber, broccoli, string Beans, etc which helped a bit. Day 4 today and to be honest I forced myself to eat today. Had a shake for Breakfast, bar for lunch and a few liters of water then dinner. I battled with food today which is an unusual change ???? I think it does get easier..... My hubby has told me my boobs have shrunk already lol
  8. I am in Hamilton so would have to make a plan, sounds great though ????
  9. Awesome work! That is amazing! I started pre op on Tuesday and it should be for approx 3 weeks, just waiting for the confirmed surgery date. I have 2 Meal Replacements and 1 meal, so not too bad. I have got some Optifast bars and Bariatric Advantage soups and shakes. The soups are awful! Have the shakes with trim Milk. Loving my dinners.... Oh boy????have 1 cup of coffee per day if I feel for something nice. Pretty limited otherwise. I do hope it gets easier...although I am scared for the surgery....????
