  1. Sleeved June 19th

    Preop 203

    Surgery day 187

    Today 168

    35 lbs total

I'm only 5'1 so I feel like I'm doing well.

    Breakfast choices I eat:

Egg' date=' yogurt or cottage cheese with a tiny bit of apple sauce

    Lunch:

2 thin slices of turkey lunch meat with a stick cheese rolled and microwaved for 30 seconds

    tuna or chicken salad

Chili - my go to food this week, love it! Wendy's

Refried Beans with taco meat - I either cook or Taco Bell - one little cup makes 2 meals. 1/4 to 1/2 serving at a time

liquid egg omelet with ricotta cheese

    Dinner:

Grilled fish or salmon with 6 green Beans.< /p>

    Ground turkey ricotta cheese bake

    Chili

    eggs

I drink a glass of either nectar tea with lemon, lemonade, or strawberry. The tea is great!!

My calorie intake is around 400 - 600 a day

Protein never less than 40 g. I'm trying to increase it. I'm going to start having a Protein shake between breakfast and lunch. It's just hard because I feel full two sips in.

I like the sound of the deli meat wrapped around cheese and melted! How many calories is that?

Also, I would like to hear about the ground turkey ricotta cheese bake!!! Oh boy, mouth is watering now...

  2. I had a few beers and a couple glasses of wine on saturday (day 26). I know I am a bad boy, but the carbonation doesnt affect me unless I drink it fast. I had a half of a beer at a pub before a soccer match, a guinness at the soccer match, then a beer and a half again at the pub after the match. That night I went to a festival at Seattle Center and I had two glasses of wine while I was there. Never really got drunk. Had a nice lil buzz to take the edge off. No stomach issues and no hangover the next day. I also periodically drank Water throughout the day.

  3. Sleeved 6/25 and down 33. I did not do a pre-op weight loss. I eat an egg (soft boiled or scrambled) for Breakfast. Cottage cheese, Tomato Soup or yogurt for lunch. For dinner it all depends on where I am at with my requirements, 6-800cals, 60-80g portein, 20-30g carbs. I start solids on wednesday (two days from now) and I am excited! I am not really sick of the foods I'm eating, but I'm craving Thai food and fish tacos ;-] I am going to have both on Wednesday and probably eat it for the next couple days!

  4. I was sleeved on a tuesday and home friday morning. I could have driven that afternoon if I wanted. I drove Saturday to my mom's for a family lunch. Your seatbelt doesn't even touch your incisions (or atleast not mine). I did stay in the house a lot the few weeks following because it was difficult to socialize with my friends when I couldn't eat or drink. I'm 29 and live downtown Seattle, so you can imagine my social life evolves around happy hours, restaurants and sports bars! Ive been out a few times lately (even had a few drinks, despite not being 30 days post op :-0 )

  5. My Doctor says no sooner than 30 days. I am 19 days and 30 cant come soon enough! I had a sip of my friend's beer last night just to see if it gave me the burps, hiccups etc. nothing happened. So we went to a movie and I ordered an icee, not knowing the damn thing was carbonated. I figured "screw it" and got about half down with a few rumbles in my tummy, but nothing to write home about!

  6. I feel pretty good pain-wise. Sitting up I'm still a bit sore, but it's getting better by the hour. Sometimes I feel like I am hungry, but a sip of Water or Isopure makes that go away. I can take normal size sips of water, which surprises me as I am only 5 days post op. If I drink too much (about 3 normal sips) I get some air bubbles, then about 20 seconds later I'm good to take another sip. Is that weird?

  7. I was watching a Mariner's game and the color commentators were talking about how they love going to Safeco Field for the garlic fries. I'm not even a week post op and I felt a moment of weakness. Nothing sounds good to me, it all smells wonderful, but I dont think I could physically go through with it.

  8. So I'm getting pretty nervous... Two things that are weighing heavy on my mind are loose skin and alcohol. I love having a good scotch or glass of wine. I don't drink everyday, so that's not a problem. It I hope I can still drink in moderation! Obviously I won't be crushing 12-18. Were while trolling for salmon all day, lol.

Has anybody had their loose skin removed? How much does that cost?

  9. THANK YOU ALL for your responses. I feel really good about this now. I especially liked BunnyK's bit about watching the scale drop and that giving her motivation! I think that is going to be huge for me. Also not being able to drink. That's my biggest downfall, the late night after bars drive-thru. Not to mention destroying a McDonalds menu when hung over. Sometimes I would wake up (still drunk) at 6am just to go to McD's for two egg mcmuffins, two sausage biscuits, two burritos, and 4 hash with milk if I didn't ha e any at home.

    Again, thanks you guys!

  10. I've heard a little bit about people not being able to eat certain things that they used to. Either they get stuck, no longer taste good, or causes too much gas/reflux/discomfort. I am getting sleeved on 6/25 and I'm starting to get a bit nervous. Obviously I'm willing to make some sacrifices, but I am curious to hear what you guys have to say on the matter. If I can no longer eat McDonalds, Jack in the Box, BK, etc... that would be just fine with me!!!
