next time try egg drop soup.. Strain it-- still yummy! Same with hot n sour Soup.< /p>I just recently started my preop diet yesterday. I have pseudotumor cerebri and not eating triggers very painful headaches. I cheated on my second day with a turkey club. I was sooo hungry and just tired of pain. I will try to get back on track. Im getting sleeved May 14th -
Don't do it... Not worth the risk you'll have DURING surgery.. I didn't cheat! I was worried I'd croak on the table

I gave DH that suggestion.. He wants to see if the ins goes through, and in the mean while let's hope I don't turn into the bearded lady ...

Well he came in yesterday from the docs finally~ he's in the 200's level he has some cream/gel that goes under his pits. I tried to support yesterday by offering to go with him to the docs-- he got po'ed and said I was making fun of him !
Thank you for the encouraging words because I just feel like he's not supporting me like a husband should being as I was sleeved on 3/27!
Ill keep my head in the game, but man this is crazy!

Ok short answer is yes it can for some men and it's usually not until there are performance issues that we seek out medical help. As a man diagnosed with low t I can tell you that it can affect attitude ' date=' emotion , mood , energy , stamina (all kinds) , desire , testosterone is what makes us men and it's level largely determines what kind of man. I started hrt 4 months ago and have never felt better in my life . My ins denied and my dr called and pleaded for me. If you don't get anywhere with ins you can get a prescription and use injectable its not very expensive and to me worth it at any price. Next to sleeve surgery the best medical decision I have ever made!!![/quote']How long after you started the meds did things start working again??

I hear what you guys are saying its been an ongoing issue for a while. I'm trying every thing I can to be supportive, encouraging, loving, dedicated, and well at times it feels like I'm fighting an uphill battle because nothing I do is ever right or good enough. sucks!!
-
I was diagnosed with it last year. Irritability is one of the symptoms. I was prescribed Axiron which is applied just like underarm deodorant. That didn't work for me so my PCP has me inject myself every other week with Testosterone and that brought my number up. I have more energy now and am less agitated so easily.
Did that make you completely shut down on your wife?? I'm just curious

I had my sleeve on 4/17. I never am hungry but I do try to eat. My question is... Every time I take a bite of food it feels like I have to burp. Then my stomach just goes crazy with noise. Is this normal?I had mine on 4/27... Make sure your chewing with your mouth closed and not taking in food and drink at the same time. My stomach usually sounds like a mariachi band when I'm eating lol

Awesome thank you! Yes! I love the nutritionist she's so funny and knowledgable! Did it also take you 3 weeks to get a psych eval? I'm using one of their recommended ones that works downstairs since its so close and convenient for me. I was jw if that was a normal wait time?Yes 3 weeks is very normal. If you google banner gateway bariatric you'll find a video of Donna presleeve.. Totally different look. She seems so much happier now. I used the one down stairs just a heads up my ins wouldn't cover all of it so I ended up with $325 due..

I haven't been sleeved yet' date=' but I had my first consultation with the surgeon (Rob Schuster) so I am trying to get through all the psych eval and initial testing and stuff. Anyone go to banner gateway off Higley and the US60 and have him as a surgeon? Or can anyone tell me about their experience at that hospital?? I'm just super nervous![/quote']That's who I had... Loved all of the staff, don't sweat the psych eval, I loved Donna the nutritionist, And listen to her!! start working on all your "clearances ASAP especially of you have endocrinology or whatever. I had my sleeve on 3/27 already down 21 pounds.. I'd do it all over again and again! loved schuster too

I met my first vst friend locally in the hospital she has a wonderfully warm personality, and I look forward to meeting many more of my local friends !! Weekends work best for me or evenings.. I know there's a small cluster in the east valley-- perhaps pods of clusters can meet up first? Then we can do a whole group? I'd love to have lots of people I can say proudly this is my friend..

I am in queen creek. Does anyone go to the banner support groups?Yes there's a few of us on here.. I haven't been to a banner support group, but I have a feeling I will be soon.. Even if its just so I can hang with my 3/27 friends --

For the gas-- I've been walking didn't help I got gas x strips that dissolved on the tounge. I took two and passed major gas-- it was sick a relief. I had mine on 3/27 and the gas pains r still there just less cuz of the strips. Also, I found watered down cream of chicken to be Devine ~ so yummy warm or chilled.. It's pretty much a life savior To me at this point!

So far-- hubs on the gel-- it's not 100% working but it's a starting point. There's other life issues interfering now, and he's overly stressed so I'm letting things be for a while until he gets settled. Thanks for everyone's help!
