I was very much alone in TJ and never had Dr Luna act inappropriate.
The original poster needs mental help. I also know the backstory on her and the gaggle of friends who were at first defending her since we were all in a small FB group together for a short time before I left due to their craziness.
SEEK MENTAL HELP
This entire thing has been an attention heat seeking rocket. If the OP (I know exactly who you are) did have consensual sex on Day 4 after suffering with surgical bloat like the rest of us (I nearly burst out laughing from the visual), then you attempting to destroy a man's career is some serious **** Karma for you.
you should be ashamed of yourself.

Knowing what I know.... FACTUALLY, this is insane. So many people deciding they know what happened or didn't happen. It hardly matters, since the original poster in all of this has changed her tune, the company is standing by their doctor. For me, that's enough that I can no longer in good conscience recommend them. But everyone will have to weigh the information themselves when picking a surgical team.

my US fill Dr had told me back in February of this year that the lapband has a 50% success rate for people who lose HALF of what they want to lose before it fails.
Sign me up as well.
I have spent a small fortune on the lapband, fills, unfills, upper GIs, fluoroscopies and finally removal. I could have paid for the sleeve 4x

Whatever works Lisa! You are barely a month out..your energy levels will return and before you know it you will be wanting to go to the gym!
I also do a trick for myself when I get depressed or think OMFG I DIDN"T LOSE 90 POUNDS THIS WEEK WTF!!!!!
I have sticky notes I put on my mirror..they say things like "You are beautiful" or "Keep up the great work" or "You can do it"
I know it sounds corny but try it My boyfriend even wrote me one..I woke up one morning to see "Your ass is magnificent" on my mirror
I like your style Maharet!

I agree... but the most important thing is that you are getting surgery! yahoo!
Did you try getting info from Lora at Kelly's office or through a wholesaler like Mexico Bariatrics or Baha Medical... just curious.
I contacted his coordinator directly through his website.
I already had surgery - May 10th...extremely pleased and happy with my choice.
It is unfortunate because I am quite sure Dr Kelly is losing clients due to poor service.
-
I attempted to get information about the sleeve out of this group of people and it took them THREE weeks to even get back to me. At that point I had already selected my surgeon.
Unfortunately Dr Kelly is probably losing potential patients because of the poor service.

I will also add that Dr Fernando Garcia has some great YouTube videos about his team, surgery, etc. I was so impressed after watching the videos, that is what sealed it for me.
Just go to YouTube and input "Dr Fernando Garcia"...you will also see "Ready4AChange" come up

Cindy is right. You must find something YOU enjoy doing. Exercise should not be a chore.
I love the following:
Bikram Yoga
Kundalini Yoga
Running
Weight lifting
Pilates
barre method
and my new thing I am going to begin once I hit 20 more lbs gone is Tai Kwan Do...I have always wanted to learn and my girlfriend just won the Louisiana State Championship last month...she is my motivation to try it.

There are two different Dr Garcia's.
I went to Dr Fernando Garcia who uses Oasis/Florence Hospital
Ready 4A Change was the coordinator team I used (Alma)
The entire team spoke near perfect english, the hospital care was better than some I have had in the states and I had three leak tests over the two day stay before moving to the Marriott.
I have now sent two of my friends there, one is getting surgery tomorrow. He was my support person last month and he was so impressed he immediately filled out paperwork for his sleeve. That is a testament to the quality of care you will receive from Ana, Alma, Dr Garcia, Dr Luna and the rest of the team.

I had my revision from band to sleeve on 5/28 as well. I have had absolutely no complications. I had my surgery in Dallas, Tx, with Dr. David Kim. I have lost a total of 19 lbs. After reading on here everyone's experience, I was so scared that I was going to have issues getting fluids down. From day 2 post op, i have been drinking fluids no problem, I have went forward on my diet without dr's orders, but I am on phase 2 of post op diet, which should just be creamed Soups, well I have started refried Beans and fat free cottage cheese, which has settle just fine. My only compliant right now is, I get tired so much faster than I use to. Understandable, due to not getting the calories and carbs that I usually did. I will be release to exercise in about 2 weeks. I love my sleeve, and I love that I have vomitted in almost 3 weeks. Good luck...
I have also struggled with being exhaustion Staci. I am now in Week 5 post op and am finally starting to snap out of it. I actually went to the gym today

I just had my daughter take my 30 day post op photos and compared that to my pre op photos.
It was depressing and made me realize I still have along way to go.
However, I also need to be kind to myself and take this one day at a time.
I did get my rear end into the gym today for the first time in god only knows how long. I walked/lightly jogged for 55 minutes and burned 325 calories.
Looking at fat photos of myself is clearly a motivator.

I have had NO energy to think of getting in a gym until this week.
I am now Week 5 post-op and today I went to my gym and I got on the treadmill for an hour. I even did a light jog at 4.4 speed. I feel CHARGED!!
Get this party continuing. This is the first week I actually have begun to feel normal and have some energy
-
I would love some support. Today was my FIRST day back in the gym in a very long time.

I honestly do not believe there is any such sign. I have been to TJ over 5x in the past few years and have never seen such a thing. Our state department would not allow that type of fear mongering against a country who we do trade with.
*smh*

the goo from the tape took almost three weeks for me to get off. I used alcohol on occasion to wipe it to help remove it. I have noticed that the incision where they removed the lapband port is getting a bit of keloid scarring, so I have been rubbing lavender oil on it to help break it up. I have also read that a bit of castor oil will help break up scarring...but NOT to be used liberally

I was sleeved May 1st. I have lost only 13 pounds post surgery. Those 13 pounds were in the first two weeks and I have been stalled for over a month! Needless to say, I am becoming very sad and frustrated :'( I've been following posts and trying to remain positive but two days ago I started feeling sick after I ate. I chalked it up to over zealous eating now that I can eat again and attended a party :-) yesterday I was a little queasy but didn't feel too badly then today I felt nauseous all day and threw up a little.
The combination of not losing any weight and feeling physically ill is starting to send me to a bad place.
I'm eating under 1,000 calories daily, get about 60g Protein and drink as much Water as I can.
Any insights?
something does not make sense. Have you had your thyroid examined or blood tested recently? Either you are eating too much and not tracking it on My Fitness Pal or maybe getting some walking in will help
-
I average about 50 grams per day based on clean, healthy carbs (vegetables, Proteins, etc).
I track on My Fitness Pal to be sure I don't go any higher than that. I had a past trainer tell me to keep it under 50 grams per day if you want to consistently lose weight. She also told me that a majority of that should be eaten before 2 PM so there is adequate time to burn it off
-
If you are not getting at least 50-60 G of protein in per day, you need to take Biotin. You will begin losing your hair.
My morning starts like this
2 scoops DotFit whey vanilla Protein powder (40 g protein) Optimum nutrition also makes a very good whey vanilla Protein Powder
1 cup almond milk (1 g protein)
1/2 cup egg whites (12 g protein)
1/4 cup greek yogurt (2 g protein)
ice & blend
(sometimes I add 1/2 a banana for the flavor. It tastes like a yummy milkshake!)
I start my morning with over 50 grams immediately. It takes a few hours to drink it, but I feel fueled for the day.

Reading all these comments though about other people experiencing stalls is making me feel much better. Knowing that it's completely normal, and not that I'm a failure!
So glad to have this site as a support system! I would definitely be going insane without it!
I lost 15 lbs in two weeks and hit a stall and only lost 2 lbs in two weeks over a 4 week timeframe.
Stalls are common according to many of my VSG friends. Just keep doing what you are doing and begin getting some good cardio in...walking, yoga, etc. You will begin to see it drop off (I have seen it first hand)

I made my own comparison chart. However, it was very easy to narrow it down to the top three most reputable doctors in my opinion.
I was also having my lapband removed, so cost was a huge factor along with doctors reputation and amount of surgeries they had done.

my friends lapband eroded into her stomach. Any doctor will require you to not do anything for at least six months. If you are self-pay, due to cost, I would recommend looking into some of the excellent doctors in Mexico. I am thrilled with mine and they use a large variety of funding companies...although I will warn you, you will end up paying MORE going that route (they wanted to charge me a $1,000 fee). However, it is still 1/4 of the cost of what they charge in the states.
-
no erosion here. I also had very minimal adhesions.
I had an unfill about a month before my revision to let my tummy relax from any irritation as well.
I lied.

what I have learned so far from VST and the admins is that you SHOULD be deleting the entire threads of slander that you allowed the original poster to start and then retract.
In the process, VST has allowed a reputable Dr to be slandered
Shame on You.
