  1. Fiddle is right as usual. Walking is my primary exercise at this point, 9 weeks out. I felt like crap with very low energy up til about 7 weeks, but I was walking as much as I could. I had digestive issues/lactose intolerance. Some days I couldn't even get out, some days I walked 10 minutes, some days I could do almost a half hour. It's going to vary, and actually my energy still varies from day to day. Do what you can do and be easy on yourself, it will come with enough time:)
  2. I was doing fine so my surgeon took me off at 6 weeks... I immediately started feeling the acid and the "fake hunger" feeling that comes from not being on it, and I went back on it, just 20mg a day. I think it really helps and am in no hurry to be off of it.
  3. Just had a two week stall, ended it by adding calories from around 900 max p to about 1200... Not necessarily good-for-you foods either!! June 18 for me, down 35 pounds. Can't do shakes or much lactose. Greek ought, lots of meats, Jerky, cottage cheese, lunch meats, some cheeses, Peanut Butter, Special K Protein Cereal.
  4. Congratulations on your strength and for choosing something that puts you in control. You deserve it, God bless you:)
  5. 800 calories and 80 grams of protein without shakes? That's what I need to do, please share your usual daily diet Denise, thanks!!
  6. Denise can you share your usual diet? I'm struggling with this too, at 9 weeks. My nut says to stay under 900 cal a day and I find it hard to do, I'm hungry again. What is or all calories at 9 weeks?
  7. Can you tell us what pea protein you like, OP? Does it taste like peas? Can't do whey so always looking for options:)
  8. Many including myself have been recommended Flintstones Complete (childrens). You chew 2 a day and they are often on sale at Walgreens, etc. for $3-4 a bottle.
  9. Me too exactly! I'm at 8weeks too and have been stuck for the last two weeks. Maybe there's something about 8 weeks, like the famous 3 week stall??? I never stalled then, this is the first and it's making me crazy!!
  10. Happy birthday Leo-sister!! I'm on this Saturday the 17th!
  11. Vsg and weight loss is actually causing a dental problem for me. With all the Water were supposed to drink, I had been drinking diet green teas or waters with Mio or Crystal Light etc in them because I can't stand plain water. My last trip to the dentist, she pointed out to me that the enamel was wearing off of my front teeth and there is now wear and pitting on my front teeth at the gum line. The culprit is citric acid, it's in EVERYTHING you would ever put into a water. I had quite a habit with the Lipton diet green tea and that started it. Now I have to go and get those teeth filled, and really have to watch what I drink, it is SO limiting because citric acid is in literally everything!! I have to do plain water, or sometimes I add a splash of fruit juice into it. I limit any additives like Mio etc to one every couple days. Just a warning to others. When enamel goes, you can never get it back.
  12. I had the same thing too, but now at 8 weeks its gone, so I'd say you're normal:)
  13. I personally don't see anything wrong with enjoying a piece of thin crust pizza with the family once a week or so. If you have protein on it, it's not a no-no. I don't get why many here are so hyper about having a slice of pizza. I'd much rather have 1 modest piece do thin crust with ham than go through making and trying to stomach cream cheese crust or cauliflower crust pizza, ugh.
  14. I wanted to ditch the shakes and also am a bit lactose intolerant, so I eat lots of meats. Deli meat, turkey Jerky, for Breakfast a skinny English muffin w cheese and sausage, pork tenderloin, chicken, taco meat, steak. I do Greek yogurt, Protein bars, some fruits and veggies and whatever the family is having for dinner. Tonight I had a small piece of pepperoni pizza. Can't wait til I can tolerate more cheeses, they are great easy protein.
  15. I have always had trouble with this pill. I take it too and have seen it come out in the potty in its original form too. There are lots of "generic" manufacturers of this pill out there, and they are under no regulations about what binders they use and how the pill breaks down, so some of them do not break down well. Like I said, I've seen my pill in the potty. It is a yellow oval pill that I've had trouble with in the past. On my last visit to m y surgeon, he changed me to a 150mg BID dose that was not sustained release, said it was easier on my stomach. Things that make you go hmmmmmm.
  16. Oh, I'll need your address for a quote. Can you PM me your address?
  17. I'll weigh them this weekend and let you know. I have a biz account w FedEx so it will be a little better than usual, but they are heavy.
  18. I too had hernia repair and no symptoms. I had terrible pain across my shoulders, back, and in my chest post op for almost a month. The incision pain for the sleeve was nothing. I'm at 7weeks now and starting to feel like my old self with the exception of ongoing diarrhea issues. It takes a while. I too am tired of hearing about miraculous recoveries, mine certainly wasn't. Just now starting to feel good and have some energy.
  19. Also, if anyone would like almost full cases of the Premier Protein shakes from SAMs Club, I have almost a case of vanilla and a case of chocolate that I'd give if ou pay shipping from Kalamazoo.
  20. I only had a 1week preop just due to when surgery and the preop visit were scheduled. I had a low BMI and did not do all liquid, I did as described with bars, meals, and snacks. Avoid the soups at all costs, trust me.
  21. I'm 7weeks and have good and bad days. I Ana artist with my own biz, and I am busy all day, but around 4:00 I just kind of wither. I tend to go to bed at least an hour earlier than pre op. I keep waiting on this big increase in energy that people talk about to happen, for me it hasn't happened yet. I walk 30 minutes almost every day and that feels like that is all I can do at this point.
  22. The preop is all their food, so if you stick to it, you really don't cheat because its all theirs. Also, they know what outré eating and can tell by your weight if you've varied from the plan. The NUT will go with you through ordering foods from the store to cover the 2 weeks and then you get them at the end. IMO, stay far away from the broccoli cheese Soup and most Soups. The meals are pretty good esp the pot roast is very good. Most of the bars are decent. Jello is jello. You will get through it, it's much easier than the liquid post op two weeks.
  23. Surgical recovery was a breeze, very easy. I ended up with lots of issues regarding intolerance of whey Protein and lactose, so still dealing with diarrhea almost every day and having to work around that, it the surgery itself was pretty good. Had some shoulder pain early on but it passed in the first couple weeks. Just trying to figure out all the waging and getting protein in. I have been released to "all foods". - yay- but in order to get in the 60g of protein, you really can't enjoy much of anything else anyway:(
