Me too on the 16th. I ordered one container of each of the Unjury Protein powders after nutritionist gave me samples to try. I also bought every flavor of unsweetened Jello they had and several flavors for Water, even though I love water. My daughter has helped me so much since she has already been through it 4 years ago. She was sleeved and lost 165 pounds in about 2 years. I really like the unjury chicken Soup flavored Protein Drink because it's one you drink warm. I took one whole cabinet for my drink stuff. When you get to mushy or purreed if you do mashed potatoes use beef or chicken instead of water or milk. adds flavor. Good luck everyone and if we don't talk again before, catch you over the weekend or next week and we can share stories!

Since I live about 90 miles from hospital I really hope it is 2 nights, just in case. Insurance approved 2 if needed. I get sleeved Thursday and I'm floating on air. So So excited to begin this leg of the journey. Good luck all you sleevers coming up.

Hi Tiff, My surgery is next week, but my daughter had hers 4 years ago. About the 3rd week she was hunting things she could eat. Now she eats whatever she wants. My dr gave me a list of things to buy before the surgery to have at home when I got there. Beside the scripts for nausea and spasms, he said to get tylenol gel caps Imodium, Gas-X or Mylecon (chewable or liquid, and Milk of Magnesia.Hope this helps

I went to seminar in January, where I met my surgeon. They got approval from insurance co with a list of tests. I had already done a year of weight management through my work, Had major blood work and had psyche consult and testing, my cardiologist had to approve and sleep study. Then dr sent everything to ins. got approval. saw dr again to sign conscents and set date. i go 5/16

I think if doing or not doing something would prevent a person from having the surgery theywould make
sure it was understood before hand. I was suggested a diet a month ago but it wasn't in stone that I had to follow. I was told to do the best I can to try to shrink liver some. I have a for sure 1 day liquid diet before that I know I have to follow or I won't be able to have the surgery at the scheduled time. That I will definetly do.

I'm Jan (browniejan) and I just got scheduled for May 16th. I also am so excited. My insurance approved me after sleep study, psyche consult and testing, and my cardiologist approval. I had already done a year of supervised weight management through my employer and it was excepted. I started gaining weight about 17 years ago when I weighed a nice 123, but had a complete hysterectomy. Last year I was at 235. Now I'm at 214, with 38.5 BMI. I have high cholosterol, Mitral Valve Prolapse with an irregular hearbeat. Some mild Coronary Artey Disease, and sleep apnea. I am also 63 years old. I am not anxious at all. My daughter had sleeve 4 years ago so i have 1st hand knowledge of what to expect, even though I may not have same journey as she did. She lost half her body weight during the first 2 years and 325/160 and has done an amazing job keeping it off. I have been on extra Protein for ot ona month and just ordered a supply for after the surgery. Glad I've found someone going at the same time. I entered info about my surgery date but it's not showing on upcoming surgeries list. Good luck and if you want to chat, just holler.

I go everyday and get a Gladiator from smoothie King. They are so much better than ones made at home and have 45 grams of Protein. I do them in 3 sessions. the last part i usually put in the freezer and eat right before bed like ice cream (frozen)
