  1. 2 months ago i was 50 pounds heavier! 2 months ago i was a different person! My sleeve has changed my life and i am so grateful that i made this decision! Zero cravings! Zero appetite! Drinking lots of Water and getting my Protein in! Training for a 5k and working on our adoption dossier! That is pretty much what i've been up too the last 2 months! Just wanted to give an update! :0)

  2. How do you deal with head hunger? I am going crazy thinking about food! I'll eat a Jello and be full so I know I am not physically hungry, but man am I head hungry! I try not to think about all these "cravings" going through my head, but I am going crazy!!! So any helpful advise would be wonderful!

  3. I started my preop diet on april 10th and had surgery on the 23rd! I cannot believe how fast 30 pounds came off!!! 1 more week of this clear liquid stage then full liquids! Im just scared my body is going to go into starvation mode soon. Ive been averaging 300 cal a day! Trying for 400 but no success yet! My pain is gone now and im able to drink... Finally!!!

  4. For you guys who had surgery on tuesday the 23rd. I also did and I still feel like CRAP!!! I feel weak, nauseated, sore, having gas pains... I have been walking and sipping constant. I have taken in approx 200 calories since tuesday... The last thing I feel like is weighing myself! Pleas tell me this will pass. Not feeling good at all and so want to be able to drink without it hurting!!!

  5. I had surgery on tues and it is now thurs night and I am still in a LOT of pain and getting minimal intake in. I also had a hernia repair and most of my pain feels in my central incision. The pain med is AWFUL and takes me 20 min to get that in. It is liquid vicodin that is disgusting!!! Just wondering when swalliowng liquids begins to feel normal again, and not painful. As of right now I can feel it go all the way down. Just having a discouraging night.

  6. So I had my surgery on tuesday at 0900am. I did very well the first day, and then the 2nd day at 1pm, I hit "the WALL" as my nurse put it! I just wanted to share my experience in case anyone else hits it and freaks out like I did. The wall is when you stomach is swelled to its capacity! I FELT AWFUL! I was nauseated, having spasms, in 10/10 pain and could not get anything down. They are turned off my pain pump so that was not a option! My awesome nurse called the doc and was able to get a 1 time dose of torodol and decradron that helped so very much!!!! Since this is fairly common according to my nurses I just wanted to share my experience to help any others who go through it. My doctor calls it buyers remorse and yes I was like "why did I do this to myself!" This morning however I FEEL 100% better and am able to swallow my meds. I still feel it go all the way down but it doesn't hurt!!! Good Luck to all you new sleevers and I just wanted to thank you to all you post sleevers who posted your experiences that helped me! Have a AWESOME thursday everyone!!!

  7. Thanks everyone! I hit my wall today where they say your inflammation is at its highest, and let me tell you it was AWFUL!!!! They gave me torodol and decradon and I feel 100% better! I was still only able to get in 3 cc of liquids in today but I still have my IV in so tomorrow's goal is to get my fluids in. Hopeing to go home tomorrow!!! Thanks for the kind words and encouragement!

  8. Well it's day 2, and I have hit my wall. I was feeling great, went for a longer walk and BAM I feel like the truck that run over me turned around re ran over me. I had hernia repair and I thing most of my pain is stemming from that! I do have a question for all of you, how much Fluid should I be able to drink before I leave the hospital. So far I have only been able to take 1.5 oz in about 3 hours. I know thats not much. They keep telling me I can leave tonight, but am seriously thinking I need to stay until tomorrow. Also have any of you had problems urinating right after surgery. Just another side effect I am having.

  9. Thank you all for your prayers and support! My surgery went awesome!! I ended up having a hernia repaired as well! I have a pain pump for pain control, have been walking every 2 hours, and have my hubby at my bedside as a personal nurse :o) I am scared about having to swallow more than icechips today! Thanks again for your support! It is very comforting knowing the support and love I get from this forum! Have an AWESOME wednesday everyone!!! Also I lost an official 18 pounds on preop diet in 13 days!

  10. Well I made it to the Loser's Bench!!! My surgery was yesterday morning! All went well. I ended up having a hernia repair as well. (I didn't even know that I had one!). Im still in a bit a pain, and am allowed to have ice chips. Man it feels weird to swallow! I can feel it the whole way down. I am so scared to swallow more today! My inscions look awesome! My doctor did a GREAT job!!!! My husband has been WONDERFUL, and hasn't left my side! He's a great "nurse"!. I am scared about swallowing anything today and am praying it all goes well! Thank you for all the positive thoughts and prayers!!! I also fond out I lost an official 18 pounds on my preop diet in 13 days!!!! Not to shabby!!!! :o)

  11. So yeah I am freaking out right now!!!! Excited/ Nervous/ last minute reserves if I am making the right decision..... I have seen other people share these same feeling so I know it is just pre sleeve nerves!!! I have probably a totally stupid question so I am just gonna say it, After surgery is it hard to swallow saliva? I am probably just thinking crazy but I was just curious! I am down 16 pounds in just 13 days doing my doc's pre-op diet!! I am pretty impressed with my self!!! So here is to finally getting on the losers bench!!! Say a prayer for me all you prayer warriors!! Surgery is at 0930am!!! See you all on the losers bench!!! Will try to post tomorrow night to update you all :o)

  12. Have anyone one of you, been diagnosed with a fatty liver? I read that rapid weight loss makes it worse. Having surgery at the end of April and just worried about this whole fatty liver thing! Also has a fatty liver ever caused a surgery to be cancelled? Any insight would be wonderful!! Thanks
