Mol.....I think ALL my friends are thin and beautiful....and I also think they're all the most supportive! My family as well! I am so sorry about those that I hear about that get put down and made to feel inferior. I've never felt that. On the pre-op diet.....I have one but I hear it is much shorter than others but then my BMI may be lower.

I live in Texas and you must have a passport to vacation in Mexico....so I assume you must to have surgery. I'm hearing unless you pay to have it expedited you takes months to get your passport!!!! So you better get started! Good Luck!

Terranne!!!! you bet! Mine is the 7th in Hurst, Texas. Yep I think it was described in another thread as the "food crazies" before the pre-op diet! Yep.....been there done that!

Big As Life-....okay....you are now my official "poster child" for the Lap-Band!....no......seriously....I want to be just that way! The doctor seems to say that but as you know....everyones experience is different! Thank you for your inspiration! Lynne....I am so sorry! Yes that stress would be tremendously. Stress I have not had to deal with yet! I'm praying for you. And what a success that now you don't have to start back with a weight gain of 20 plus pounds. I know that must've been hard. Thanks! CyndiLou! I am still nervous....but I think it is because I'm truly scared I won't be able to conquer my food addiction! I'm hoping and praying and wishing that the band will be that extra tool that will enable me to forever put food in its proper perspective.....just nutrition....not comfort-crutch-addiction! WOW! Amazing weight loss! Congratulations! I'll be praying your complications DISAPPEAR....because whoa....you've got the weight loss going well!

I got in to my doctor on a cancellation......and had scheduled surgery in 8 days. I am self pay and my schedule was wide open. Rushed to get all the tests done but I'm excited! June 7th!!!! ....and a little nervous too!

I'm new here and I'm loving reading everyone's experiences! I'm a retired RN....so I KNOW everyone's experiences are unique and not much in the medical world can be generalized! BUT I'm being banded next week and I'm currently exercising 5Xweek with weights and cardio and I'm so excited to see that others immediately got back to some sort of exercise quickly! AND.....by looking at everyone's weight goals and weight loss.....those that are exercising have really lost well!!!! Congratulations!!!!!

Hey I'm going tomorrow for my first consultation for Lap Band surgery! I must say this site has been most helpful! I have always found that people in the same boat as you are absolutely the most helpful and sympathetic! So in advance thanks for having this forum!
