I'm two month post op and have lost 31 pounds. It's not what I was thinking if loose but I'll take it. Ive never lost 15 pound a month on my own. We are all doing great!! Keep up the good work guys. It will all come off in the end.

So you fell off the wagon, that's ok. First couple of weeks it's important to follow orders but just as long as you get right back on the wagon. My thing is that if you deprive yourself completely then when you do "fall off the wagon" your going to fall hard and probably do more damage then if you just messed up one small time. But then again that's my opinion.

I am also a slow loser. I have lost 31 since surgery (7/19) but the number on the scale is going down so I'm happy. I told EVERYONE that I was having surgery. Family, friends, coworkers and people on Facebook. I just feel that maybe my story with help other people who are dealing with weight issues. I always post on FB when I loose weight even if it's .1 pounds. But that's just me. We are all doing a great job slow or fast cause God knows I wouldn't have been able to do this on my own.

Hey everyone. I'm from the Yulee area and had my surgery the 19th of July with Dr. Baptista. Good to see soo many people from this area. I thought I was the only one in the area with the sleeve. I know a bunch of people who had the band but none with the sleeve.

Thanks. I was wondering why there were only 3 days in the week. Makes sense now. So I'm glad I didn't do it today. Tomorrow off I go again. I had joked with my husband that I would try the running thing and become a marathoner. And now it looks like I'm heading in that direction. :-)

Hopefully by 2015 I'll be able to do a 26.2. I might try the half Feb 2014.

I've been saying for years (pre sleeve) that I was going to do a race but never did. Now that I HAVE to workout I can. And I have a bunch of friends that are runners that have been waiting for me to start and now we can finally plan on races. I'm feeling great even though its only day 2.

Thanks. Just got done with day 2. My legs are still a little site from yesterday. I have a feeling that I won't be able to walk tomorrow. But it's a good pain.
-
Today is day 2. My leg muscles are really sore. Hurts to sit down but I know it's ok since I've probably haven't worked those muscles in 8 years. My goal isn't exactly to run a 5k but the fact that I haven't been working out this program gives me a reason to. And I'm glad I started. After I finished day 1 yesterday I felt so good about myself. Hopefully I'll be able to run a 5k in the future.

They had me on morphine at first then the first night switched me to a liquid pain med. I think it started with an L. I was blessed the only real pain I had was gas the first day then just the pulling pain (which wasn't bad).

Im 8 months post op. Pre- op my periods were 7-8 days heavy bleeding once a month. After getting the sleeve Ive had 10-15 days periods spotting for 7 days then 7 day period. Very wacky! Im not on any pill we use condoms. I have a doctors appointment monday to get my hormoned blood checked. I cant take it anymore! Its driving me nuts! Hate my period hate hate hate hateThis makes me wonder if mine are going to be like that. This last time it lasted 3.5 weeks. Not happy about it. It's ended just in time for my sugar pills to start. Lets see if I get it again. I have to go to my gyn. I told them about my two week one 4 months ago (I had my yearly in July before surgery) and he didn't seem worried. So when this past one wouldn't end I thought nothing of it. I guess I'll see what the next one is like.

For me it's like bad heartburn. But now (1.5 months out) I just feel full. I took one bite too much and was uncomfortable for two hours afterwards.
-
I had a rib today and my tummy has been upset all afternoon. But that seems to be the only thing so far.
-
When I started my supervised weight loss my periods were SOOO crazy one lasted 2 weeks the next one only 3 days. Just hope this goes back to normal (or as close to normal) soon. I'm going to ask my surgeon on Monday and then call my GYN.

Anyone else out there had a screwed up period after surgery??? I had gotten my period day off surgery (7/19) and it was fine. Now I'm going on two weeks with this current one and I'm on the pill. I'm getting really annoyed by it. I'm tired all the time and not really wanting anything to eat (healthy at least) I go for my month post op checkup on Monday. Hopefully my surgeon can shed some light on my current issue. But knowing my body it will probably be over by then.

I'm sorry to hear that. I had been a sweat hog prior to surgery. Now I'm cold ALL the time. I went from always hot to always cold. I barely sweat anymore and I LOVE IT!!!

Its a comfort to know that I am not alone with this 'slow looser' thing. However' date=' tho' the scale is not showing much movement - I notice changes in my body almost every day. Differences in things I can do now, the way my clothes fit, my energy level. I was just so excited when I got out of the 300's - I guess I am just so ready to get out of the 200's now! Patience..patience![/quote']I know what you mean. My scale FINALLY moved and I'm out of the 290's. at least it's moving in the right direction. I just need to improve my eating and drinking. Need more food and Water. (And when I say food I mean protein)

I was sleeved 7/19 and took two weeks off. It was perfect. My job is high stress and have to lift/move heavy things. The two weeks gave me enough time to get ready for it. But everyone is different. Listen to your body. It will let you know when it's ready.
-
I hope it starts moving for you too. I think all of out problems are we focus on what other people do and lose the focus in ourselves. I have decided not to worry that other people have list 40 pounds in two weeks. I'd rather lose slow then fast. I'm assuming I hit my stall and now all I can do is lose.

My friends at work laugh at me when ever I eat cause they know I'll eat 4 bites and I'll be full. No one really gets on me about the way I eat. I can order bread, potatoes (just cause they come with the meals) and they don't say anything cause they know that I know I can't eat it. Sometimes I just take a bite and I'm fine. I find it interesting how people on here can be more judgmental then my own friends. You know what I'm not perfect. No one is. I don't deprive myself of food. If I want a cookie I'll have a bite. If I want chips I'll have a couple. It would be worse to not have that stuff and then go crazy over board when you finally do.
