    Out to eat

She's lost 47 but I don't m ow if that's with pre op diet or not. I've been a Ssssllllloooooowwww loser. I've been sleeved since 7/19 and my scale can't decide if I've lost 10 or 15 (since surgery). It keeps going up and down. I don't understand why. I just need to keep going and hopefully my body will start loosing.

    Salad

I'm three weeks post op. The salad actually helped me go to the bathroom. I thought that it was going to be a bad reaction but it went just fine.
  3. Day of surgery (7-19)I was 305, height 5'2. Today I'm at 293. But it's been going between 295 and 292 for the past week. I just don't know what's going on. At first I thought it was because I hadn't had a BM in two days but after I did I was 1 pound lighter. Like you I follow the meal plan. I get a little less then the suggested water intake and I walk (not as much as I should). I'm hoping its my body still in shock mode. And now I start to feel hungry. I don't know if that's me actually being hungry or head hunger.

    Crushing pills

I don't crush. I just cut them in half.

    Stuck in my throat?

I went to Walmart and bought some drops. Natures best or something like that. In a yellow box.
  6. I also am a slow loser. I had surgery on 7/19 and have only lost 10 pound post op. right now the scale will not move. I think my major thing is liquids. Can't seem to get all the liquid I'm supposed to get. But every day I seem to get more. And my other issue is exercise. I REALLY need to jump on that band wagon. But so far pre and post surgery I've lost 32 pounds which I know if great. Just need to over this hurdle and I will be just fine.

    Stuck in my throat?

I cut my pills in half to make them as small as possible. That was my major concern after surgery. But I also hate that stuck feeling. Happened to me after I ate the other night and it took 45 mins for the feeling to go away. Thank goodness I was at work and could walk it off.
  8. I took the anti nausea meds only the day of surgery and then only twice the next day. Once they got me off the morphine and on to the liquid pain meds it went away. Also after I went per the first time it helped. I hope you feel better soon.

    Shoe size

I've only lost 15 pounds but me shoes are already big. Can that be possible that soon after surgery. I know my feet are going to get smaller but soo soon?? Maybe I'm going to loose weight starting in my feet and then working up. Who knows :-)

    One day post op HELP!

Try both warm and cold liquid. When I was in the hospital post op all I could get down was warm liquid. Now (almost 3 weeks post op) all I can drink is cold. Congrats and I burp all the time. Mostly when I'm full.

    Peanut butter?

I bought the Jiffy whipped peanut butter and I could probably get in trouble with that. If I don't pay attention I'd probably eat the whole container.

    Salad

Thanks. I tried to pick out the chicken, cheese and egg before I ate the salad part. I was actually happy my tummy didn't reject it and I'm not a salad person.

    Sleevers by profession.

I work for an airline in the customer service field (I know crazy) and am a mom to an 8 year old boy who thinks he's 20. :-)

    Isopure drinks

Anyone else find them not good tasting?? I was wonder if anyone has ever thought about putting crystal light in one just to add flavor.

    Shoe size

A friend of mine got sleeved 1 year ago, lost 130 pounds and 1.5 in shoe size. I understand the width part but not the actually size part part.

    New snack

Even though we aren't supposed to snack I found these awesome crunchy krinkles. If you are like me and like to have something that crunches you should try these. They are found on bariatric kitchen.com. I also bought pancake batter. High Protein and ok on the carbs. The krinkles have 13g per serving size (can't tell u serving size since I cut it off...oops). They are really yummy.

    The Journey Begins

Good luck to you all. I had my surgery on 7/19. Loosing weight slowly but that doesn't matter. As long as the number on the scale goes down I don't care. I read about all these people loosing 30 pounds in two weeks and at first was a little sad I hadn't but in the long run I don't care. Everyone is different. I just need to up my water and protein. Once again best of luck.

    Thank you!

Truly inspirational!!! I started at about the same weight and I would like to get down to close to the weight you are now.

    6 month weigh in!

    Awesome!! Great job.
  22. The receptionist at my surgeons office was really good about it. I had to do 3 months worth. So she counted my first appointment there as my first weight loss/ NUT appointment. They made it really easy.

    July 2013 Sleevers

Reading all the posts about eating different foods, I guess I need to experiment more. I guess I'm just afraid to eat something and get sick. I'm eating the usual chicken, eggs, cheese. I haven't tried veggies or fruits. Breads are ok but depends on the bread. And when I eat chicken the sauces don't seem to bother me. I'm going to be adventurous and try more things :-)

    Back at work

All my coworkers were just surprised I was back a work. I never knew how many questions people could have about the surgery. The ones I hadn't told were surprised that I had already done it. But all are supportive and they all tell me the same thing "listen to the doctor!".
