I am two dAys post op. I was so bloated after the surgery...scale showed I had gained weight! But once the gas and fluids started moving....I have started to lose! I am on Clear liquids and doing ok. Injury chicken Soup, Isopure clear and unjuryt strawberry. -

The #1 cause of ulcers is h pyori bacterial infection. I had a biopsy which showed I had this. I took 2 grams amoxycilon and 1 gram of another antibiotic twice per day for 14 days. Yes, that would be 3 grams per day... 6 horse pills a day! I also took myself off coffee, energy shots and soda...might as well do that now. I will find out if this aorked next week but both the surgeon and gastro thought it would.

Yup me...found "significant" ulcers. I had to postpone for a month...but that turned into 2 due to vacations. I go back for my second one next week. I have met several othet sleevers who had this as well. They all turned out fine. It just gave me more time to prepare.
