  1. It will get better. The first 3, 4 days are a little tough. I am on day 9, and find food to smell good, but not appealing. Hang in there. My surgery is 31 July. Good luck. You can do it!
  2. costco sells Fiber Choice tablets. sugar free, and assorted flavors. 3 grams of firer per tablet.
  3. Good luck, Ellie. Funny post. Hope all goes, or went, well for you.
  4. Pre op diet is tough. Harder if you don't have support. I am in day 8, and I just do it 1 day at a time. You can't go back and correct what you did yesterday, and tomorrow is not here yet. 1 day at a time. You can do this! Good luck, and keep posting. We are all here for the same reason. PS: Your co-workers are not your friends, or they would be concerned and helping you through this journey.
  5. I did the first couple of days, then it went away. Good luck.
  6. Read posts about going to see Tami. She is a sweetheart. Everyone out at East clinic is soooo nice. I will be at the August support group meeting. Will be two weeks post op. Hope to see you other Mad City people there.
  7. I am in Madison. Sleeve date is 31 July, 2013, at UW Hospital, with Dr. Campos. Good wishes to everyone, and keep up the weight losses!
  8. Greeknugget. I had all testing done prior to approval. Once approved, I was scheduled right away. I am on my last week of pre op liquid diet. Surgery is next week, the 31st. Good luck, and I wish you and MGLAW 142, the best.
  9. Surgery set for 31July. I start a 2 week liquid diet on Wednesday, the 17th. This will probably be harder than the surgery! See the nutritionist on the 18th. Will start stocking in supplies for post op then. Best of luck to everyone. May we all reach our goals:)
  10. Silly question. Not being tech savvy, where do you get the BMI ticker from?
  11. Insurance letters have arrived! Surgery is set for 31 July! Ready to go. Bring it on:)
  12. I read that sometimes the surgeon just removes the gall bladder, since they are already in there. I want to ask my surgeon, next time I see him. Good question.
  13. There's no shame in seeing a psychiatrist. Every one can benefit from talking to some one. Your bariatric program should have a health psychologist available to you. Don't walk, run to them for help! Hope all is well with you.
  14. You look great!! congrats on showing PCP he was wrong. You are an inspiration.

  16. brad8197. Live in Wisconsin, and Michigan. Going through the program at UW Madison. Down to the last tests. Endoscopy on Monday, meet again with surgeon on Tuesday, sleep study on Wednesday. looking forward to setting a date for surgery. I am married to my best friend for the last 42 years. I have a 5 year old grandson, who my wife is his nanny. I am so ready to lose the weight! I need both knees replaced, from years of crawling on the floor for my work. But my ortho surgeon said I need to lose 50 lbs before he will operate. Will post more later. Just had my 2nd required class today. Learning a lot. Monday is my endoscopy, Tuesday, a follow up with the surgeon, Wednesday, my sleep study, and next friday, my last class. Then on to ins. for approval, which I have been told, will be covered. But, I want that paper!! Will let everyone know the results.
