  1. I swallowed my gum accidentally. I hope my pouch can handle it!
  2. I put real peanut butter in my chocolate shake. Just a spoonful. It makes it taste yummy! It also gives you extra protein.
  3. Shrimp has been great for me...I buy them already steamed from the grocery store and add old bay seasoning. The go down really easy. My Nut. suggested this to me.
  4. I don't drink my shakes everyday either. I do take multi and B12. No calcium yet. I need to get with the program. I have lost 37lbs since April 3rd. I need to find some protein that I like or a way to be able to take it!
  5. My Doctor told me at about 3weeks I will probably feel sick to my stomach. Hang in there. Try a few mini saltine crackers.

  8. Has anyone had trouble having normal bm's. It has been just about a week for me! This is crazy!

  11. I am so sick to my stomach or "pouch" today. It is almost for my "time of the month" I think besides cramps I have bloating and I can't get my liquids in or protein. I hate protein! Sorry just feel like ranting. Does anyone else hate protein?
  12. Yes! I thought the very same thing! I still have pain in that spot if I bend the wrong way or sit for too long. I asked the Doctor if he was sure he connected everything right. He said that it was normal. We will see!
  13. Sometimes after surgery being down and depressed is very normal. I was like that for a week. I am at 4 weeks tomorrow and it has definitely gotten better. Hang in there!
  14. I use the broth from the Boxed Lipton Chicken Noodle Soup. It tastes really good and goes down easy!
  15. Mine was just like that too...it goes away. I am almost 4 wks post op and it is almost completely back to normal.
  16. I have pain in the same place and I will be 4 wks out on Wednesday. Mine is definitely muscle. I still have a hard time sitting for very long. I have also heard of people getting what they call a stricture. That is when your opening is being blocked by scar tissue, I believe.

  19. I teach kindergarten too! I went back a week and half after surgery. I am still in pain, sometimes it gets really bad in one spot. I am starting to think something is wrong inside there!
  20. Just keep getting the liquids in and the food will come. I am 18 days post op and have lost 27 pounds. Food hasn't been that good for me until recently. I just am having a hard time with Protein.
  21. I need help with protein...I hate them and think they are awful...what is everyone doing to get theirs in each day. I have tried chocolate, Nectar fuzzy navel, Slim fast, eas I just hate it all! It really gags me
  22. My problem is the protein...I am 18 days out and have not gotten my full protein in yet. Somedays I don't get any in...I hate them. What have you been doing?
