  1. I provided the information to my PCP and they added it into the paperwork they provided to the insurance company. If you have been with your PCP for any length of time, they should know your struggles with weight loss and diets.

    WTF? Am I wrong?

And your friend is ridiculous to expect you to take THAT as a compliment.
  3. I was talking with my boss, who is also my friend, about my first stall and she said wouldn't that be funny if what I had lost was all I was going to loose. No, that would not be too funny!

    weight loss pills after surgery

I understand your frustration. I was sleeved on May 15th, have lost 20 pounds since the surgery, but have weighed the same for almost 2 weeks. I have been good to follow my doctor's plan to a "T" and walk at least 5 days a week. Even though this forum is full of posts about stalling weight loss, it still makes me crazy to think I am eating so little and exercising so well and the scale is not budging.

    medical alert bracelets

Mine too, I got one at laurenshope.com. They had a lot that were cute and not that expensive.

    medical alert bracelets

My doctor's office suggested one because due to the sleeve they said we are not suppose to have a blind NG tube, they said if they aren't careful the NG tube could puncture your new stomach.
  7. Sleeved on May 15th and down 21 pounds. Have been at that for about a week. I knew the stalls were coming, but doesn't mean I have to like it! I keep strict to my food plan, which I am on puree food for a couple more weeks and have been walking about 5 - 6 days a week.
  8. I am just passed 4 weeks and have been on pureed food for a week. I am allowed 3 meals of 1 1/2 ounces of pureed foods. I was told by my NUT that shakes are now considered liquids. Hope this helps!
  9. That is why I was thinking that the price you would be paying for an individual policy, it would be way worth it to pay out of pocket
  10. I was originally covered by my husband's insurance, which didn't cover wls. The insurance company, for my company did cover wls, so I was lucky enough to plan and get on board with them through open enrollment. And this is my own opinion, I would think the premiums for an independent insurance policy would be pretty expensive, it might just be cheaper to go to Mexico.

    May 2012 Sleeve Family

I was really getting depressed reading all of these wonderful results and was wondering what my problem was....figured it out...ya'all are a year ahead of me...oops! Great job everyone!!!
  16. I don't believe the big deal is the "original comment", maybe one ruffled feather may be the fact that you continue to post this same question, over and over again. And although, you may not be the "only" one who poses this question, but it seems questionable as to why you keep posing the same question?
  17. This seems to be an ongoing issue with this poster, because it is brought up by her over and over again. If you don't want to read the posts of support people make, for their doctor, I don't understand why you do and then choose to make it an issue of it.

    First Time Dining Out Postop

I was released to puréed foods on Thursday and my anniversary was Friday. My husband came to work and took me to lunch, so we went for Mexican because I knew I could get some refried beans. The waiter didn't seem to be concerned that all I ordered was a side of refried beans and sour cream, but when he came to clear the plates ans saw thatI had only ate a really, really small portion I thought he was going to freak out....and I am with you Ms. Antiband to think back at what I used to eat in a sitting...My little sleeve would explode!

    Diet Foods?

Not that I have the ability, at this point, to enjoy anything other than Full Liquids, I am just passed 2 weeks Post Op and my doctor's office says I must be on liquids for 4 weeks, that is unless they progress me at my first appointment after surgery, which is next Thursday.....BUT, I am curious as I look through diet recipes on this site, I see where low-fat mayo and butters and other products are utilized, I was just curious if using the actual product, albeit not as much would be better than a product that has been transformed by chemicals and other processes? I am wondering if the natural products would be easier on the stomach? Just wondering if anyone has any input on this????

    I ATE THE BONES

Not really, but today after 3 weeks of protein shakes, plus pre-op diet I was released to the pureed phase. So, of course on my way back to work, I stopped by the store and got some cottage cheese and greek yoghurt to put in my refrigerator so I will be able to enjoy my next phase. Of course, I looked at what I could have, but not the serving size. Well, I ate an entire 4 oz container of cottage cheese. It went down well, and it took me about 20 minutes to eat it. Once I read my little sheet from the nutritionist, which said my serving size was 1 1/2 ounces I felt like the guy on the KFC commercial....I ate the bones, OMG, I ate the bones! That was the bad news, the good news is that from my first visit, until 2 weeks post op, I have lost 43 pounds and the nutritionist said that I am 2 months ahead of schedule
