I used forest medical in ypsi. February 27, 2013. Just hit my century in weight loss this weekend.

    Protein Fatigue

Another good method I still employ is the ISO RTD bottles. I mix that with about 40 ounces of water and drink all afternoon. Makes the water less boring and adds another 40 grams of protein a day. Just my morning shake, work out shake and the ISO with my water I am at 100 grams a day alone.

    Protein Fatigue

Well, if you have to just drink 3 protien shakes a day at 30gr of protein each. That will put you at 90. Then strategize your meals to add another 40 grams. As you get better at this start to replace protien rich meals for 1 of those shakes. Remember, you don't need a big drawn out protien shake. I mix a 30 gr scoop of protien with 6 ounces of water and slam it I do that first thing every morning and after every workout. Start the day with a good count.
  8. Congrats. My 6 month was 8/27 and I am down about the same, 90lbs. I know I have tacked on a ton of muscle weight but am very happy with my rate of loss.
  9. I have been drinking the pre bottled Isopure protien but they are expensive. Anyone find a protien that mixes up thin and doesn't turn into a shake thickness?

    Found decent protein shot

The bottles Isopures are awesome. I mix half and half with Water and get over 40 ounces of Fluid and 40 grams of protien. The protien shots have actually come a long way. Read up on them. ISOpure has a couple out now based on the bottled protien recipe that doesn't use calogen. Also, while some may have calogen in them they also do incorporate whey isolate. Just research and make an educated decision. There are protien gel packs out now as well that aren't bad.

    eat w/o drinking

I still can't eat hard boiled eggs without it feeling like it is stuck in my throat. Drinking makes it worse.
  12. Everyone knows these are not healthy. Cook your own meat and slice it up. I know lunch meats and jerky are easy and I get why they are allowed (the assumption that none of us can eat correctly and to re-educate out habits) but the chemicals and nitrates in this stuff is terrible. Boars head all natural turkey is fine. Also Perky Jerky is ok, no nitrates or fillers at all. Get healthy, not just skinny! Stay healthy, not just thin.

    Restriction

Goodness, I can go days without even noticing how or what I am eating and then wham, the restriction is intense and that knot in my stomach feeling is there again. Not Complaining as I am glad it is still there but man I didn't enjoy that feeling the first several months. I still get a kick out if eating a yogurt cup and knowing my stomach can't/won't hold another bite.

    Feeling full?

I get hiccups and burps. I try and measure (visually) my food volume and don't give myself more than I really can eat. 5 ounces if meat or protien of choice and then if still not "full" I will have some veggies or salad. Funny how by the time I get the veggies on my plate I can't eat them for being full.
  15. Carbs are something you have to go without to get over. Each day you will feel that you need them less and less. Good carbs in limitations can be a good curve. Stalls are part of the game though. I couldn't count all my stalls. Some only a week long, some several weeks long. I just came off a 2 week stall and lost almost 5lbs over night. I am now 11 lbs from losing 100 lbs in under 6 months. Keep at it. Even when you don't see the scale move keep track of body measurements and appearance. I guarantee you will notice beneficial changes!

    Restriction

I hope it stays for the rest if my life in some form or another. I know living like this will get harder and harder as time goes by and this feeling will keep me in it!

    Mountain biking...

Anyone else out there into mountain biking? Being almost 100lbs lighter now I am a bit faster. I usually do at least one race a year but I am already on my 3rd with 2 maybe 3 more this year to come. I am actually riding Expert (level below pro/elite) which is far past my expectations. Between the gym and riding with only 1 off day a week my fitness level has sky rocketed since surgery. God bless the sleeve!!

    Stop eating processed meats...

^^really? Don't you read other posts than this one? I was reading this morning and found 4 recent posts with people posting their processed meat diets and diet suggestions of what to eat. Don't like what you read, turn the page.

    Body Fat Percentage

Zero? That way when you get to 7.5% you still have something to work for.
  21. I use both. RTD I use premier or muscle milk. Premier is $25 for 18 at Costco. I also drink the Isopure zero carb juice type daily. Love grape and peach mango. They get expensive but I look at it like this. Instead it a meal deal I have a protien drink.
  22. FDA approval is useless IMO. If you dig you will find independent research on them. There a couple of these types out there that are fairly reputable. They do in a pinch.

    Isopure or Unjury

I also love protein shakes and work them into my diet accordingly. I have a premier after my morning workout BCAA/creatine drink, then a bottles Isopure (live the peach mango and grape flavora) diluted 1:1 with water for a 40 ounce plus fluids. Then another before bed so my body has something to work off of while I sleep. I like the funky tasting ones though, they don't bother me so I go for the fortress brand at Walmart. Inexpensive comparably and has great reviews on quality and taste.
