  1. I'm in Auckland too! Perhaps we should meet for a coffee one Sunday avo? I'm getting sleeved in Mexico may 11 - can't wait!
  2. It says there's less healing time & less pain - good for our long journey home. I'd prefer 1 incision spot to 4 , even if the scarring is minimal I have scaring around my areola from a reaction to sutchers from my reduction so would start feeling like bride of Frankenstein .. Also I don't particularly like my belly button (it's very deep) so a new one is just fine by me!
  3. Can I ask why not enough of your stomach was removed? Did u want a slightly larger bougie (spelling?) or did the dr not do the proper procedure ? I'm asking because I'm a lower BMI and I was thinking of asking the dr not to give me a super tiny sleeve!
  4. Haha yes I did think of that - no one has been to both lol ... *Nurses who speak English is a big bonus *beds I've heard a few times are very uncomfortable at Mi hospital *noisy because of street and construction also at Mi I just didn't realise I may of had an option where I go, till now. I thought that Mi hospital was where he worked out of - more decisions! Lol
  5. Oh lol - I WISH mine was April 11!! Haha
  6. I've asked Alma if I wanted to, could I go there - you've made it sound very appealing! ... I've just put up a thread - thanks for your post!
  7. I've just seen a glowing review of the Florence hospital where the nurses speak English & its was very clean and the bedside manor were top notch. (Free wifi is a bonus) now I'm confused, I was booked into Mi hospital and have heard good reviews - I know not to expect state of the art facilities but there seems to be a few more things attracting me to the Florence now... Any words of wisdom from people who have been to either? Thanks ????
  8. I'm with dr Garcia on May 11 ... So he must work out of a few hospitals? I'm going to Mi hospital ... Is the Florence one nicer? I guess it must just depend on which day you choose where he's working out of. Thanks for your play by play (I forwarded it to my dad) I like sending him all the great detailed posts so he knows that I will be safe and everyone is happy with choosing to go to Mexico. Glad you're doing so well!
  9. I'm with dr Garcia May 11!!!!! Glad you're doing well! Thanks guys ????
  10. There are some very nice girls going for surgery may 11 ... I've heard everyone say that they are fine going alone as everyone is in the same boat & very friendly - don't worry too much. I know a lady who flew all the way from Australia by herself and she said she was %100 comfortable the whole time.
  11. You are a 10/10 support person and your wife is a VERY lucky woman! Thanks for all the great updates. I've forwarded some onto my dad as he's worried about me traveling so far for surgery. So thank you again for the time you're taking to let us know what to expect! Rebecca
  12. Hi! Don't quote me but I think u have to be under 40 BMI and that's all I've heard. It's a trickier surgery (obviously) and takes longer so it's $1000 more - see you at the hotel in 5 ish weeks!
  13. I know! I was almost heading to cancun for mine .. It costs an extra $1000 but I'm happy to pay that as long as he's not "practising" on me lol ... Alma said he's done "like a hundred" but I'm just doing a little more investigating ????
  14. Hello, I'm booked in for the spider technique (through the belly button) with dr Garcia May 11. Just wondering as its fairly new if anyone else has had this done w him? I have heard before a few people saying they'd had it done (w great results) but can't remember if they were specifically from surgery w him. Thank you
  15. I'm going to start my own forum so people who can't stand me won't be annoyed by me any longer and people who get a kick out of my witty sarcastic banter can come along!! Lol
  16. I know I should just let the scab heal & I reallllly did try and not retaliate but it's just not in my nature!! Lol.. I maybe don't get my words out properly on the first attempt but like to try and make sure people understand what I'm trying to say. I try my best to be a fair person on here & in life. * we had all shook/shaken (?) hands and made our peace (I feel) it's new people bringing more negativity ... I Will Try My best to zip it ... But I can't promise lol
