Hmmm I was thinking of getting help after - dietitian or physiologist? I don't think I have huge emotional eating problems .. I just love food - happy or sad I eat too much .. I got really mad when I went to a dr who was covering for my dr while away. He said I had a food addiction - I was like whatever - u can't be addicted to food - you need food - that's like saying you're addicted to air or breathing! Lol ... Now I get it

Yes people are quite ignorant to going over seas - ESP Mexico ... Do they think we're stupid and just made this decision on a whim?! Lol

I am a super organised person so that's not a problem. I love healthy foods but when I feel really hungry I eat the bad carbs as that's what I feel will only fill me up (touch the sides lol) . I'm lookin forward to knowing that I can have a piece of fruit and it will be satisfying .. Instead of a whole bag of chips lol

Hi Amanda Rae! ... Yes that is also wise... I have a $2000 dollar flight to LA to add to the surgery price. I was baffled at first why everyone went to TJ ... Even tho the cost sounds/looks much nicer they seem to have some great facilities in TJ ... So I'm at the point of not even caring where I go now as long as someone takes out my stomach! Lol

That's grey news!! Yes, I've turned into a very negative person about myself as its SO unattractive!! I can't wait to feel confident again ... And also getting dressed in the morning ... I wear %10 of my clothes & I have some really nice clothes but won't wear Any of them ! ! (I split my fave pants last week - that didnt help matters) This surgery can't come soon enough ...

I got into the low 200's a few years ago. I've been on and off diet pills for years (I'm a boxer and I've had to drop weight)... They are horrible and bad for you and are like a bandaid over the problem. I also know this tool isn't "permanent" but I love the idea of hunger not ruling my life. I have PCOD and I'm 35 this year. I met a guy over Christmas. I heard later he referred to me as "that fat chick" .... No one else will be touching my body (besides my wax lady) until post op. I'm not as big as some here but I've felt the same feelings and emotions as you. I've had "your stomach doesn't gross me out as much anymore" from a boyfriend. "You got fat" from an ex, said in front of a group of friends. I said "not fat voluptuous" he said "no fat". A stranger on a plane told me "I'd be more beautiful if I ate less" ... I have more but I won't bore you. This Christmas one was the last straw. I don't feel "fat" inside ... I want to be happy and confident again ... This yo-yoing has gone on sine about 20 yo - enough already! I'd rather die on the operation table trying, then go on like this! Parents are against Mexico but I know I'm in good hands and have all this support on here even if I don't have there's %100 <3

My BMI is 30 .. 5'6 190lbs .... If I hear just eat less or workout more ... I might punch them ... I'm looking at Mexico in may ... Fingers crossed

I just got melatonin from the drs .. It's the hormone our body produces for sleep - I've fallen asleep much better in the last 2 days - but still wake up a few times during the night. It will take a few days to build up I'm told ????

Ive heard some good stories about Cancun .. All good except the front lobby gives u a fright and makes you want to run away & the hospital beds are super uncomfortable .... I would like some good / bad details about PV please ????

Yes that's why if I bring someone ill try and make it PV or cancun. If I go by myself I can do TJ... I want some benefit for my friend coming. I'm planning a couple days in LA on the way there for some shopping (at VS & PINK) we don't have them in nz!! Lol

Duh, why didn't I think of that lol ... You can get compression socks? And I guess walk around alot on the plane. Hopefully ill be flying business class on the way home so that would be more comfort (fingers crossed on that) yes ill ask the dr for any suggestions - thanks! ????

Thanks ladies, yes PV would be nice too but I have to work around dates my friend can go & dates the drs are available.... Worst case I think I would go by myself now I've heard all these stories! Thanks guys x
