    Hubby Doesnt Like Me Now

Wow. Only a few things in this world would shock me and this is one of them. Cheating has nothing to do with whether you're skinny or fat. He cheats because he wants to and because you allow him to. Skinny people get cheated on too. This man is doing what you allowed him to do to you. The first time you noticed him looking at other women right in front of you...that should've been the last time you saw him. Try flipping this "unique" bullsh!t on him and see how well it works. You start looking at other guys and talk about sleeping with other men and let him know its better than cheating and see how quick he shuts you down.....because he's worth more than that.... How much are you worth?
  3. I think most Americans "put down" medical practices anywhere due to ethnocentrism. We can't help it. We think we're better than everyone when it comes to everything any where else....sad but true. The reality.....American doctors are bound by laws set forth by "our country" and are held accountable for their actions. They have malpractice insurance etc in case **** hits the fan... In Mexico, the doctors there, are held to standards set forth by "their county". Do you know what those are? Who will be held accountable if **** hits the fan? Can you or your family members communicate effectively with the appropriate authority in a country that has differing customs and a language than your own? Yes, you can always get a translator but have you ever played telephone as a kid? The doctors there may not be any more or less qualified than the doctors here or anywhere else but how do know for sure besides the Internet...sure you can rely on someone who may or may not exist on an Internet forum but.... Like my mother always says, "good things aren't cheap and cheap things aren't good" Planned parenthood is not the appropriate place. That's where you go to get info on sexuality related issues, STD's, abortions, birth-control, breast cancer screenings and the likes. This surgery is a bit more complexed and requires professional expertise. The nurse there could've pointed you in a better direction but unfortunately she chose to be negative instead....don't take it personal, after all some people are just negative. She would have probably reacted the same way even if you went there to get an HIV test.... Since you're not making a lot of money...have you looked into state funded insurance plans that are based on income? The majority of those cover WLS and you could get the pre and post op care you need at no or minimal cost... Good luck with whatever you chose.

  6. Thank you! Lean cuisine and truck loads of fruit and veggies and a lot of walking. I also had to think before I eat... Am I hungry and need to eat or do I want to eat. If I wasn't sure I jogged in place for 5 minutes.
  7. Your body is perfect! You don't need liposuction, plus you may look different at goal, if in 1 year or so you're not happy then go for it but I honestly think you look amazing.

  9. I lost 26 pounds so far.....I don't have a date yet, did all the pre-op requirements already, meeting with my surgeon on 5/28 and hopefully he'll say "omg you did great, lets just skip the liquid crap " lol
  10. Yes too much oil, like I said, avoid it like the plague lol
  11. Goat could be prepared in a manner that is healthier yes, however being someone from the Caribbean, I can assure you that the style in which our culture makes it, it's very fatty. In some parts of the world they eat it baked or grilled even, it's the Caribbean that would be a no-no. As someone that was born and lived in the caribbean I wasn't even aware goat could be boiled. I grew up on that stuff, my father raised goats, several and sheep as well. When the meat cools, there's a layer of fat that gathers on top.....fat! Any real Caribbean person knows what I mean.
  12. Do you have family in the states or England? Ask them to send you stuff. Like protein drinks, vitamins, etc.
  13. P.S. Ackee would people good to try to, make it with salt fish boiled out good and eat it with a sweet potato.
  14. Goat is very very very fatty, very. I would avoid that like the plague. Try stew chicken or curry chicken legs or thigh pieces, fish, shrimp, thinned out cornmeal porridge or cream of wheat, oatmeal, split pea Soups and even beef Soup but try to leave out a lot of the ground provision but sweet potato and maybe edos could be your friend. You did the surgery in JA? The surgeon never give you any guidance?

    Need to Vent....

Hi, I'm pre-op but I wanted to know what was tough for you? Also can you maybe speak with your nutritionist about revamping your weight loss? Do you work out?
  17. So we all heard, she removed her boobies (and planning on removing her ovaries) because she's high risk for breast and ovarian cancer. I think it's absolutely brilliant, my grandma and my mom both suffer from breast cancer, my grandma is doing well, my mom on the other hand not so much. The cancer has spread to her bones, she's constantly in pain, her bones always break doing simple things like tying her shoelaces. It's crazy, she's had radiation daily, chemo 2 or 3x per week and all sorts of other doctors appointments. Also she has lost her vision as a side effect of one of her meds. So yes, I applaud Angelina Jolie for avoiding a life like my mom's. Who in the right mind would want to go through this if it could be prevented?!? So here I am, I want to have 80% of my stomach removed because I am at a high risk for diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity related cancers and about a cazillion other things. What makes Angelina Jolie better than me? We both wants to lower our risks for diseases.....why is society praising her and criticizing us? Yes, I can lose weight and yes she can overcome cancer, what the hell is the difference? Oye!!
