thank you so much! I had borderline high blood pressure and arthritis in my legs/knees (now I dont have any pain and I am jogging now. My time of the month was horrible too and that has cleared up and my joints do not hurt like they use too.)...but my BMI was 45 and that in itself made my insurance move on it. I feel very grateful to have gotten through that part of it. All in all I feel so much healthier and happier. Let me know if you get approved and If there is anything I can help with please let me know. Prayers sent!

I totally understand. I went in two and half years ago and was denied by my insurance and I was so devestated and depressed. It was a dark place for me at the time. I switched jobs and insurance last september and began getting the ball rolling with my insurance and got approved for the sleeve this past feb. I had my surgery March 12 2013 and I have lost over 70 lbs. I feel so much better physically and I am enjoying my kids even more. It is still difficult at times and a lot of work but I feel as if I got just what I needed with this surgery to be able to accomplish loosing the weight. I will keep praying for your approval and an incredible journey.

Hang in there guys. I will pray that your approval goes through. I have been there and when I read your post I thought about myself and how hard it was not to be in the middle of everything at the beach. This will pass and be but a moment. Remember that the outside is not who you are......i know how hard it can be though.
Sending prayers your way.

I agree sounds like you need more Water. Sip as much as you can. I had the same problem until I learned to drink more. Once in a while I still get that way if I don't drink enough water.
Hang in there.

I quit caffeine two weeks before I started the liquid pre surgery diet. That worked for me. I just quit and then started the liquid diet. I recommend getting that under control first. The liquid diet was hard enough for me. I am 4 months out and no soda cravings. I was a huge diet soda drinker before my surgery. Good luck. soon it wont seem like a big deal at all.

My doc told me to wait at least a year or two because your skin will adjust more and regroup.. but you have to do what makes you feel good about yourself.
Take care,

Just sip every few minutes. I hear the nausiation can come from not having enough Water. You will feel better once you get the prescription. I was severly nauseated and the doc sent me home from the hospital with a prescription patch that went behind the ear. I cant remember the name that helps alot. Hang in there and get as much liquid down as you can to counter act that nausea. prayers your way. jacquie

sorry how far you have come......I am tired today....

Just start the new day tomorrow with your protien drink and then get back to the basics.
Try to remember how far you have fun and what you went through to get your surgery. Do you have support groups in your area to go to and help. That might be something that can help you through the difficult times. Take care and hang in there.

Thats normal....Just make sure your sips are very small to prevent taking in air and putting to much in your stomach.....That will change I was sleeved march 12 now can drink about 5 ounces of Water at once. If it continues to hurt call your doc.....Are you taking your acid blocker...NExium or OTC...That might help.
Hang in there it will get better in a few days.

I have stalled as well I am getting really irritated. I had my sleeve March 12. I started at 268 on the diet and now I am 244. I have lost nothing this week. Is this normal? I have lost inches so I get it but I am dying to just see a few more pounds off. on the scale.....Its discouraging to me since I have been so active walking a lot and following my diet. I am also staying to the 3 meal a day rule using one Meal Replacement protien to add my Vitamins. Maybe I am not eating enough. Not sure. Any suggestions?

I was just sleeved in central texas March 12. My doctor was good also and he is the head bariatric surgeon at scott and white in Temple Texas. His name is Dr. Richard E Simmonds. Hope this helps.

I was sleeved March 12. Things are going well for me too. SOmetimes its a bit uncomfortable to sleep but I think I walked to much today. Lesson learned. As far as the food I am still trying to figure out what all those noises in my stomach are. For sure the walking helps so much with the gas pains. (I just got tired out today) As for wanting to taste normal food....I am a bit scared. It will be nice to add foods to my diet though. I can relate. Hang in there. Jacquie
