Aside from the Hair loss I'm doing really well. I've lost 74 pounds as of yesterday morning! I've been okay with foods, except I've developed an allergy to avocado :-( I used to eat them all the time and about a month ago I had a terrible reaction and now I can't even touch one without vomiting and itching for days!

It will get better! I promise. I'm 5 weeks out and just starting to feel normal. I know the Protein sucks, but its so important to get that in along with your Water. I was vomiting non stop the last two weeks because I didn't take in all my protein and Vitamins. My surgeon and I had no idea what was going on with me so I decided to try some food and I was all better. Just focus on the finish line!

I am a little over one month post op and I have been vomiting every day, at least five times a day, for the past ten days. I told my surgeon and he thinks its the flu. I've been to the hospital to get some IV drips, I've gotten anti nausea medicine, I've been checked for ulcers and strictures (had none) and I took several pregnancy tests. I'm glad nothing is wrong but I want to know what's making me so sick! Has this happened to anyone else? Advice?

Today I am three weeks post-op. I've been doing just fine with my fluids and Proteins but yesterday and today I've been feeling extremely sick. I vomited for the first time since surgery yesterday, I have a painful ear ache, I feel so weak, and I just don't know what to do! I've also been taking my anti acids and that isn't helping either.
Normal???

I am 19 days post op and on Wednesday I can begin my puréed foods stage. The only example I got from my NUT was mashed potatoes. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Can I have refried Beans (fat free of course) or chili?

I was sleeved on 2/19 and I am still on a liquid diet. I have noticed that I don't have a taste for anything anymore. All liquids that I used to love make me want to vomit now. Sweet juices taste bitter, and broths taste strange. Has this happened to anyone else??

This is the reason I had educated my husband about the emotional part so that if I had got frustrated he could understand better and not get on the defense about it and that has help a lot
We talked about it too, but I wasn't expecting it to be this extreme. He's been very kind and understanding throughout my ups and downs.

I am two and a half weeks out and the hardest part in my relationship is that I've been really irritated and agitated because I can't eat yet. I'm that way towards everyone now but it seems to be harder at home when I get frustrated with my fiancé for no reason. I'm hoping it will get better once I can finally have some real food and not all liquids.< /p>

I start my full liquid phase diet today. Any suggestions?? Do a lot of people have problems tolerating dairy?

Thank you for your inspiring post! I was sleeved on Feb 19th and I'm still getting used to everything. It's tough for me now that I'm still in the clear liquid phase because I miss food! I'm not physically hungry, I just miss the taste of certain things. I have lost 34 pounds post op and I'm hoping it continues!
Weird question?

I was sleeved 2/19 and have lost 101 pounds! But two things have recently happened I thought was sorta weird. First, I've developed an allergy to all produce that is non-organic. I've never had a food allergy before and now I get itchy all over and a tight chest any time I eat non-organic produce.
The second thing is that sometimes I can eat a lot more (well a lot for a sleeved person) compared to other times. For example, last week I was able to eat a half a sandwich before I was full and this morning I couldn't even finish half of an egg.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
