Hi Dani.. there are many on here that have gone to Mexico for their sleeve. it appears that all has gone well with them so i believe it will be the same for you. as far as going alone, maybe you can find someone who can support you and go with you. even though you can do it alone, it would be nice to have someone by your side. try and find a support person that will join you on your journey. good luck! either way you should be fine!

The stall is normal. We all have them. The weight gain could be a simple as water. So hang in there and press forward. Keep up the good work. You will break through it!

Stopped losing weight
SmilingEyes replied to BPN80's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
From what i am hearing they are normal. Our body is just adjusting- at least that is what i am told. I have been on a stall for 11 days now. I don't like it as i am sure you don't but it is something we have to go through, just like the others who stall. Keep up the good work and press forward. -
That is fantastic.. wish you the best! Remember one day at a time and keep your head up!

How to deal with the disappointment
SmilingEyes replied to Thistlegirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I feel really bad ... i can't imagine how you must have felt, waking up and finding that you had not been sleeved. I am so sorry. However the 6 mths wait will go faster then you think and at least you can heal from the scars and know when the surgery is done it will be right. try and keep up the good work and continue to work at losing the weight .. when you have the surgery you will be that much ahead of the game. Good luck to you! -
Something horrible happened last night...
SmilingEyes replied to bee13's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
You know your parents love you but they are blocked because of fear. it is something that was sprung on them and they had no time to adjust to the idea. I would confess your love for them but tell them you are following through with what you have started. Carry on with your plans.. as you come back safe and sound and begin to loose you weight they will realize that they worried for nothing. I know it will be a harder road now, but you already made the hard decision to do this now just stick with it! As for your husband, now that is a different story!! -
Too much or not enough?
SmilingEyes replied to cartmansnj's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Everyone is different. If your doctors are happy with your progress and you are still losing then keep doing what you are doing! -
just remember the scale is just a tool to measure by. it surely can go up and down according to water gain or loss so just keep up the good work and the 2 pounds (of probably water) will be gone before you know it!

2 weeks post op, and I GAINED 2 lbs?
SmilingEyes commented on BigDaddyJoe's blog entry in My journey
Holy Crap!.. i dont know what to say to that Joe, other then thanks for preparing me. I think i better stay off the scale. I don't want to see a weight gain. I think i would just sit in a corner and cry. well that said I know it isn't the end of the weight loss so keep up the good work plug along and you will see a loss soon. -
