  1. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Lopez, Dr. Ortiz, Abraham, and Eduardo! Dr. Ortiz came to my room, took care of my drain, told me how to take care if it. He was VERY professional. And everyone I encountered was so professional and treated me like I was a princess! I will NEVER regret going to Mexico or going through A Lighter Me. One persons experience doesn't put in stone how a Dr is or a coordinator. Anytime I needed one of them they were right there. I was very well taken care of.

  2. I'm sitting here on three weeks worried that I'm able to hold more in my stomach than I should. I feel like I may be just worrying for nothing but that fear is still there.

OMG!! That's me totally! I am almost 4 weeks out and I worry all the time. I worry that I eat too much, I worry that it's not working, I worry about not losing. It's in my head ALL the time.

  3. With my lapband the anaesthetist screwed up and I woke up on the operating table as they were finishing up. So painful! and I keep having dreams about it with my revision surgery in 3 weeks! So did you with Lopez wake up in a normal bed a few hours later? haha x

I woke up in recovery and then was moved to my room. It really was a nice experience with everyone. I was very happy!

  4. Oh finally hearing other people that have had him! I am going April 24 but was starting to freak if been scammed as I hadn't heard from anyone else that had him! I am having revision surgery as had the worst dream about it last night! Eek

Don't worry! He is great! And Dr. Ortiz assisted my surgery and he is also very good! You will be very well taken care of, I promise.

  5. I used Alightermeme....and had surgery with Dr. Lopez assisted by Dr.Ortiz. The best part of my experience was knowing I could call Abraham my driver at anytime to sort things our for me. He was very helpful in getting me from the airport (11:34)pm into Tijuana and to the hotel. The next morning he had the paperwork ready for me to fill out nd I as even given priority over patience from other companies. dr. Lopez met with me once and then returned to PV. Surgery went well. I woke up and ws taken to my room. I had nausea for a day and bc I had a band before ws coughing up blood. As they assured me it was normal and would subside in a couple of hrs. I was not so sure. But as the predicted it subsided and I was eventually placed on apple juice. Dr. Ortiz came by the first day and was helpful with question and yes he is handsome but I thought a little insensitive since he came into my room drinking coffee...and it smelled so good too. I wanted to slap him for that one. After 2 days one nightin the hospital which was very clean even by American standards' date=' we got to the hotel. Dr. Ortiz came later hat night to remove my drain. As of now, I'm waiting to return to the states and home to my children. If I have one thing to say about my experience in Tijuana, is I would do it all again. Do I recommended Alighterme and Dr. Lopez/Ortiz, yes. But the best was Abraham. He genuinely knew your concerns and tried to ease any fears you had.[/quote']

Yes I used A Lighter Me also, and Abraham is the BEST!! I was impressed with Abraham and Eduardo, they were BOTH so good to me and my husband while we were down there in TJ.

  6. I had surgery yesterday' date=' little painful from gas and any turning/twisting but otherwise good. Today is a lot better and I walk around the hall a little. I'm afraid of the plane ride home on Tuesday.[/quote']

You'll feel SO much better by then! I didn't think I would feel good to go home but the day before we went home we went out and went shopping. I felt pretty good. Just keep walking walking walking, it will make everything SO much better I promise!!

  7. I had Dr. Ortiz as the assistant surgeon to Dr. Lopez. Dr. Ortiz was Awesome!! He came into my room pre-surgery talked to me, told me what was going to happen. Very, very nice man. He also checked on me after surgery. He was very professional and very kind. When I was at the Hotel he came and removed my drain. Explained everything he was doing, explained how things would be for me in the next few months, what to eat, how much weight I should use. I would recommend him 100%!

  8. Hi Everyone! I am two weeks post-op and am just starting my next phase of blended food. Everything I have eaten I have done fine with, so far. But the problems I am having is I am desperately afraid of gaining weight back or not being successful with my new gastric sleeve. I am afraid I am eating too much, I am afraid I am going to fall back into unhealthy habits. Ugh! It's driving me crazy what I am doing to myself!! So have any of you experienced this or think this way? Please help I am in need of some encouragement!!

  9. I am only 9 days post-op but I have one incision that keeps bleeding off and on. Plus it is really bruised around it. I have been keeping it open for air to heal, until it started bleeding. Is this normal? It is not the drain incision either. It am incision under my right breast, on my upper stomach. Thanks for any info!!

  10. Sorry I haven't posted in so long. I made it home safe and sound but what a long day of travel. We left hotel at 8 am and got home at 3:00 am well 12 am if u don't count the time change. Word from the wise: even if I think u r fine and don't need a wheel chair ( which we didn't ) GET ON IF U HAVE A CONNECTING FLIGHT WITH A SMALL WINDOW OF TIME BETWEEN FLIGHTS. We only had a 50 minute layover and if not for are wheel chair that where waiting on us we would have missed r next flight. They ran us threw the airport and we made are flight by 1 minute and I'm not exaggerating. I feel really bad for the 2 wheel chair pushers that ran with me and by friends big bodies thru the airport. Lol. So now that I have been home I have been very tired and having a really hard time eating or drinking. I did manage to get down 1 Protein shake and 24oz of Gatorade yesterday and two Protein shakes and 8 ounces of Fluid so far today. I will get in more Fluid b4 bed but I don't know how much. I am 12 pounds since pre op diet or just down 3 pounds since surgery. But I will take that.

Glad you made it home safe and sound. Flying home can be exhausting. And congrats on your loss, also!
