    Pureé & Softs

you should have a list or guide from the nutritionist. follow that the best you can. i'm 34 days post-op and i don't want to drink the protein shakes anymore. but, i'm adding soft food very slowly. i eat baby bell cheese, scrambled eggs and yogurt besides the liquid diet foods. peanut better was on the list, but made me sick. go slowly.

June sleevers, what are you eating?

i am having a hard time even looking at the Protein Shakes any more. i try to eat at least one every day though. i am not having a lot of success adding foods to my diet. either they sit in my stomach and cause pain or i get sick as a dog. cheese is the only thing i can stomach besides the full liquid foods. anybody else have a problem with this?

4 days post op when does it get better!

at four days out, just concentrate on water and protein shakes. i found that making them up and then freezing them helped a lot. i take them out and let them thaw to slushy consistency and then eat with a spoon. they are cold and they taste better that way.

    Introduction:

hi everyone! i had my surgery 32 days ago and i feel great. i lost 30 lbs in the first 30 days! now i get to start exercising. i hate exercise. but last night i walked all the way to the end of my road and back and only had to stop once for a break. now that's progress. 6 months ago i could barely get to my mailbox and back. i am going to start out swimming laps and doing aquacize on monday. the gym part scares me because i have absolutely no idea how to use any of the machines. but i'd like to try the elliptical machine. everyone keep in touch with me. i need friends who are going through the same things i am.

    Natural Peanut Butter

i am 32 days post-op and i added a spoonful of all natural peanut butter to my protein shake on thursday and got sick as a dog. i had "dumping syndrome" bad. i was at class and i had to leave and spent 35 minutes in the bathroom. i had the shakes, sweats, headache, retching and a terrible stomach pain. i look like death warmed over when i went back to class. so i'm not having peanut butter again any time soon.
  11. i'm 32 days post-op and i can only get about 3 swallows down at a time. it takes me a couple of hours to drink 32 oz of liquid. maybe call the nutritionist. she might tell you that even if you can drink that fast, maybe you shouldn't. or she may say it's fine. i don't know, but i do know i can't drink that amount that fast. maybe i'm going too slow???

    I'm a little hurt..

i understand. at our fourth of july get together, my sister in law was like "so, it's basically atkins right?" "you could have done that without surgery." oh what the hell ever! good thing the rest of my family is supportive.
