  1. Congrats to everyone getting sleeved today! Best wishes!
  2. How long ago was your surgery?
  3. Congrats on your surgery date. Hope all goes well. To answer your question I didn't have an issue swallowing my own saliva. Im a little over a week out and I can tell the difference in the amount of water I'm able to consume. I was taking tiny tiny sip of water the first few days, but now I can actually drink maybe an oz at a time
  4. Susan and Diva thoughts and prayers to the both of you. Hope you both have great recoveries.
  5. I'm going to try and make it. I haven't been to a support group yet either.. but I am curious to go and meet different people.
  6. Emory midtown and dr is Srinivasan. She great. I think all the emory locations are connected and soon the whole bariactrics dept will be at the midtown location... I'm not for sure though

  9. I had my surgery on 2/18 and I had the same type of feelings before. Wondering if something would go wrong or if I would be the very small percentage that would not make it through at all. I tried not to dwell on it so much and just prayed when I started to think like that. Dr said my surgery went great and I feel pretty good now just to be 1 week post op.
  10. Hey everyone I'm new to the forum and I'm in marietta. I was sleeved on feb 18th.
  11. Hey I'm 5'2 and just got sleeved on 2/18. I haven't talk with the dr about a goal weight yet. I will see what she saids when I go for my 1 month post op. As for me I have to see. I at least want to get to 150 and go from there.
  12. Definitely go by your dr orders. Just from the comments I read so far everyone seems to have differences. I had surgery on Feb 18th and started protein and vitamins after I got home. Surgery day was considered day 0 and I had nothing at all. Then on day 1 and 2 I was on clear liquids. And day 3 starter full liquids and was able to start my protein and vitamins. I am taking chewable multi vitamins
  13. I was also sleeved on feb 18th. I hope everyone is doing well. To me the pain has really eased up a good bit.
  14. I was sleeved on mon feb 18th and was in the hospital until wed day afternoon. I hope everyone is recovering well and best wishes to all that have not had their surgery yet.
