Has anyone gotten independent insurance post op?
Just wanted to know, I plan on making some job changes in about 2 months and will not have an option for insurance through a job. Does anyone have any recommendations?

- Finally I weight less than my husband!
Congratulations!!!- Primary and secondary insurance question
My experience with primary and secondary is with anthem bcbs with my job and they do not cover any bariactric or anything with weight loss either. I had secondary medicaid and it was a covered benefit and they paid the cost for the surgery with no problems. The dr office did try and get pre authorization from bcbs 1st being that it is my primary then filed with medicaid. I was able to get surgery done 2/18 before my medicaid was cut off. I would try with another facility if you have that option. Good luck sweetie, I'm glad to hear that it seems you are not going to take no for an answer!- FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved
I'm a little over 2 weeks out and I'm down 18lbs from my last dr visit back on jan. 30th. Dr said that I'm doing good and have exceeded expectations. I will weight myself on my scale tomorrow morning and track my own weight since I will not have a follow up again until 6 months out. I'm hoping to get down another 15lbs by my bday at the end of this month.- FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved
It sounds like you will not have a lot of loose skin either. That's a good thing!!- FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved
I was sleeved on 2/18 and I still am having issues getting in all my fluids too, but it is getting better. I need to actually track the total I'm doing each day.- FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved

Janel2013, I know for me the walking helped me with the pain I had in my shoulders. I didn't really walk a whole lot but I would get out each day and get something from the store and I guess that was good for me. - FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved
