I am doing only Protein more less' date=' no junk (sweets make me sick ) and I really don't feel it is head hunger.. I also weight first thing every morning when I get up and I'm usually very in tune with my fluctuations but something feels different the last couple of days. I do feel full but the feeling seems to only last maybe an hour after I eat. I hope I'm worrying to much but I just don't want to see the scale moving the other direction dde22.[/quote']I am four months out and just recently gained a pound over night and took me over a week to get rid of it. I started drinking more Water. It helped a lot! I weigh in daily too. If your doing everything accordingly I wouldn't worry to much about it! I have to say though that it does help to come in here and hear others advice and opinions! It's awesome.

And I also keep my carbs under 100. The carbs I do eat are complex Carbs. I avoid breads and pastas and I have sworn them off forever

My doctor told me to keep it between 800-1000 calories. When he told me that I was at 400-500 and gradually went up. I am four months out and just moved up to 900 calories. Maybe in a few months I'll move up to 1000
Oy vey! Protein is a constant challenge for me but I'm getting over 60 with a goal of 80-100

If your calories are still at maintenance or below' date=' you're not putting on fat. More than likely, you're just adding a little muscle and if you've done a good bit of resistance training, you're probably holding onto a little Water. Not in a bloated way. But when you exercise intensely, your muscles will bring in some Water to them to help repair and recover....it's a good thing The body is just adjusting some.[/quote']I'm below maintenance. Thanks this makes me feel better.
Thanks everyone I just needed a little reassurance. I'm 4 months out and I still have a lot of the mental aspect of this to work on. I have 18 pounds to go before I get to my goal weight and I definitely want to be toned and in shape!

First of all muscle does not weigh more than fat' date=' it weighs exactly the same, but it is more dense and smoother. And sore muscles are muscles that have been worked which means torn so they are rebuilding and that creates swelling ie, Fluid retention. For awhile as you increase your muscle mass but before the fat loss starts, you may show a higher weight for awhile, but then the increased muscle mass will jump start your fat loss and it'll be groovy. Good job on exercising!![/quote']Thank you!

Sunday I did the Insanity workout. I was so sore Monday and Tuesday and I weigh in today and I am up a little over a pound! Can t be related to how sore I was? My food I take was the same so I know it can't be my eating. It's not that time of month. I know I shouldn't be so worried about a pound but I'm just wondering if exercise causes weight gain? When I was working out I felt fine...I went at my own pace and I took breaks and drank Water.
Thanks in advance!

I itched for the first two months! It was horrible I wanted to rip my skin off! My doc said it was normal so I took Benadryl, it helped a little. After the second month it went away.

I can't stand Planet Fitness personally. I went with a friend a few times as she was just starting to get into fitness a few years back. I was appalled that the gym staff would yell at you if you'd grunt whilst actually lifting weights (of which there are few' date=' too many smith machines and no effin' barbells?!). In my opinion, and you can hate it if you want, it was a gym that was made with women in mind that want to go use cardio equipment and feel comfortable. If it was the only gym around, I would probably use it though.. Seriously, an anti-"lunk" policy is stupid. "Sorry people who actually work extremely hard to stay fit and build tons of muscle, the fatties are too self-conscious to be around you!" And that is coming from an obvi current fatty. I have always preferred gyms that emphasize and encourage weight training over cardiovascular.[/quote']I agree...the planet fitness by us serve free pizzas on Mondays!!!! I almost passed out when I saw that! I left the gym soon after.

thank you i hope so it's such a mind game I'm scared to eat anything now becuz I feel so full and fatI also worried a lot and was an emotional wreck! I promise it will get better!

Purée stage....your probably retaining Water. Your body is healing. Focus on healing and try not to worry. During my early stages I read up on nutrition, focused on what I would be eating once I could eat again.

I'm curious as well to what your diet is like? How are your carbs? I try to keep them as low as possible and the Protein high.
Don't regret your surgery. You did it for you. No matter what we, we are going to have to work hard to reach our goals. Weight gain could be anything, maybe your holding on to Water? Drinking enough Water? Hang in there you will soon start dropping those pounds!

Ive lost weight before but not this much. I though maybe there was something wrong with my spine/tail bone or is it just the lack of extra padding I've had pretty much all my life. How come I never hear thin people complain about this? I see them sitting in all kinds of positions lol
I need to get my BUTT in gear and start exercising.....yup I have not been regularly exercising. Maybe some Buns of steal on me will help!
Thanks All! I am glad its not just me!

I'm four months out now but from day after my surgery till I was about 2 months out I felt the same way! I was worried all the time...emotional....I even got into a near physical fight with a person who cut me in line! Normally I wouldn't care if someone cut me! Now? I'm better! Feel great and I am no longer getting into fights lol Try not to worry. It's going to be ok. Try not reading posts on leaks! I keep away from those because they make me nervous! As long as I'm not reading those and I'm fine!

I everyone! I lost - little over 75 pounds in the past 4 months and I am 5'5 and weigh 154.2 as of this morning.
Here's my questions....I noticed that when I sit I can feel my tail bone. If I sit on the floor it hurts! I can't do crunches on the floor because of this and it feel like I'm forever sitting on something hard! Is this normal????? This is the lowest I have ever been in my adult life so I really don't know if this is normal because I no longer have the extra cushion? But pain?? To do sit-ups??
Thanks in advance!

Mine started at 2.5 months & I'm 4 months now.....this is what came out just this morning! Remember everyone is different. Some people barely lose while others lose a lot. I'm not one of the lucky ones!I'm 4 months out and I am losing about that much hair. :-/
I'm happy I am losing weight but this is definitely one of the hard part.

You look absolutely beautiful! And I love that green dress!
Congrats!

I have sips of diet pop every once in a while. Sometimes when my teen daughters order a regular coke I have a sip of that too. I have had absolute no problems with it.

You look great!!! I'm down 73 in 4 1/2 mthsThat's awesome! It really gets me pumped when I hear everyone's success stories!!

Congrats. You look great. Can you please share your diet? How many Proteins? Carbs? Do you workout? Best wishes on your journeyI did not expect to lose weight this fast especially since I had such a horrible time losing weight before surgery and plus I have hypothyroid.
I am working on getting my Protein in. For some reason I struggle with it. My hair has been falling out but I have been raising it. I keep my carbs under 100g a day. Sometimes I go a tad over but I try to keep it under 100.
Thanks everyone for your cheers! this is very exciting and very surreal! Sometimes I forget I am no longer 230 pounds. After all a few months ago that's what I weighed. Now her I am four months later and 20 pounds away from my goal of 135!

Having surgery tomorrow. Can you share some tips for success? You have done great! Congrats!Congrats on surgery! Let us know how your doing afterwards!

To be honest I haven't been exercising as much as I should. As for my diet once my doc cleared me to eat anything I started logging every single thing I put into my body on myfitnesspal I eat high Protein low carb foods...lots of fish turkey chicken....I weight my food and every once in a while I'll eat something I like such as pizza I think what had helped me the most is keeping track of what I eat If you go to myfitnesspal my user name is ruthiecoyne and see my diary.

try increasing you calories a little? Maybe add a yogurt? Or Protein bar? Whenever I'm hungry more then normal I eat...other wise I end up picking on food here and there and eating more then I'm supposed too
