So I just woke up an hour ago. My family is still helping so I can sleep as late as I want, and with four kids that is like a vacation all by itself lol. As suspected, I feel even better today than I did yesterday. My biggest problem is number two. I haven't pooped since before surgery! But I'm working on it :-)
The pain is bearable. I'm really just using the pain killers for my butt hole :-s
The cravings suck. But I'm making it work. Last night I grilled imitation crab meat and bacon and put a little cream cheese and peach preserves on it and ate it deservingly like a fat woman pregnant with twins. I was able to eat about three oz. joy.
You guys will make it. So will I. We are gonna be some skinny sexy healthy b*****s.

Girl I just did too... It hasn't been a breeze and I'm hoping this negative feeling just dissipates after the four weeks... I had my VSG on March 13' date=' had horrible nausea in the hp and dry heaved for the two days, cont'd to have nausea when I got home... Although I have support they are eating like All fast food around me, and I have a two yr old... It's just tough because she wants to be right there with me... And of course I got her head/chest cold... I can't find any Protein I like so far and that worries me so much... I've tried the GNC women's Protein in vanilla yuck, the New Whey Protein Shots in different flavors (makes me gag because they are so syrupy even mixed with water), the Isopure, I'm just having a time... My throat hurts And I just want to gulp Water down... Please please tell me this is temporary... What am I gonna do about the protein? Anyone wanna talk me off the ledge? On the day of surgery I got down to 216.2 down from 226 on the liver reduction and gained weight from the surgery and now am 211... So that is my positive but I have to figure out this protein I don't want to lose my hair...[/quote']
It gets easier. I promise. I PROMISE!! Just take it five minutes at a time and sleep when you can. That's what I did. I just tried to sleep through the first couple weeks. Wake up to walk of course and make sure you're doing your best at fluids. I didn't have protein for a week because I caught a stomach virus a week after my surgery! Thursday is my two week mark and in eating regular food already. One day makes a huge difference. Pot helps- ALOT! Seriously. Big time. But just remember we all heal differently, take your time and just remember you HAVE to do it for your child! It's a lot easier to do something when you know there's no alternative. Walk walk, sip sip, and mark your calendar for four days from today. I PROMISE you'll feel better! You will feel like you've made progress! You can do this :-)

So after that long night in the hospital I would havehoped they fixed me. I feel like crap! I've thrown up twice since I've been home. I can't even hold down a couple swigs of Water. This sucks! I feel so dried out, and I haven't put any nutrients in my body in days. Any advice?

Thanks for everyone's good wishes!!
I JUST left the hospital. I'm so tired. But I'm fine! They did a bunch of tests and I was definitely dehydrated but I'm ok. Good night!! xoxo

I've been throwing up since 3 am. On my way to the emergency room. Wish me luck :-(

So jealous you have your drain out!!!! I was sleeved march 5th and I'm doing great except for the drain! Go back to the drs Thursday so I hope it comes out then!
I'm so confused--- drain? Please tell me what you're taking about! I had a cotton ball taped over my belly button, it was a little wet when I took it off before a shower a few days ago. I clean my belly button with a tissue every day, and I don't think I got anything out of it today, but the two days I did it was kinda pink. Now, the glue is coming off around the incision just above my belly button and every time I clean it it pulls it a little. All sounds gross, I know, but what do you guys think??

I LOVE strained light progresso chicken noodle. Nice and hot, I let it cool in my mouth before swallowing and it really does help. I feel like I need variety, and just the temperature satisfies me. I suck on sugar free fruit duo mints too. Well not really suck on, I only like the white side so I just lick it lol! Also, you might try putting your Protein Shake in a blender (I use my magic bullet) with some ice. The texture helps me. Just make sure to let all the ice melt before you swallow!

Yeah Jennifer, all of us!!

Good morning fellow sleevers!!
I really feel better this morning. Yesterday I had two Protein Shakes and two bottles of Water and I walked more than I have since I've been home. Honest to god, I swear, the back and neck pain is worse than the surgical pains.
You guys are great! I'm so glad we have each other!
Xoxo

The food I can't wait to eat is a double bacon extra pickle cheeseburger with no bun. NO BUN! My brain is making the necessary changes. Go brain!

Eating my Jello cup one tiny thumbnail bite at a time, i remember being able to down one of these in three bites. This was definately a good choice.

Mag! We can all relate, I'm sure. But you know what I remember? I remember how many times I built myself up: I'm gonna eat right, excersise, lose weight. And for the first week or maybe two I do. But then the results aren't fast enough or I pms and just quit. I say " the world may end tomorrow, I'm gonna have a brownie". This surgery is that crutch I need to lean on when I start thinking the world may end before I can have another brownie. We can do this! I have thought your same thoughts. I have apologized to my husband and family that it has come to such an extreme that now I need them to take care of me because I couldn't do it. Ya know what my dad said? He said just like any addiction, people need help. The surgery is there for a reason, because it is sometime necessary. You've had the surgery you can't reverse it. Just think about how this time next year our asses will be the hottest sexiest things around. And we have that "fat girl" personality, which is undeniably the best kind to have! I'm here for you girl! We can make it through this stupid decision together!!

I've had a 16 oz bottle of Water and half a premier today. Feeling better as far as hydration. My goal is to finish the premier and drink another bottle of water before 1 am.

I'm jealous of you Hattie!! I can barely do three laps around the house at times. What inspiring weight loss! Keep on truckin girl, we need your inspirational updates!
-
I have only had the two c sections. Just found out i can tolerate Jello now!
And I bet you're right, about dehydration. I've had like 12 oz of Water since I got home from the hospital and maybe one Premier Protein. I need to step it up!
-
Oh yeah chell, the sleeve is NO PAIN compaired to my two c sections!

*got darker

Yes gel! I just went through what I can only describe as a "hot flash". I got all hot and woozy and felt like everything for darker. I immediately got in my recliner in front of a fan but **** now I'm too exhausted to even text. My shoulders hurt. Hubby just brought me a Popsicle.

Sometimes I feel on top of the world then almost pass out after three laps around my house. Anyone else?
-
No costco here either! I got the Premier Protein bars too, even through it will be a while before I'm in solids!

I skipped the puréed stage. For the first two weeks I lived off of Water Protein Shakes apple sauce and Sugar Free Chocolate. One day I woke up and ate scrambled eggs, and I've been on a normal diet ever since. Today I had about four bites of a Hardee's lo carb Breakfast cup, four grilled chicken nuggets from chick fil a, a small handful of cashews, and a ton of water. I feel like a normal human being again.
