  1. Injury? How do you use it? I tried drinking in crystal light and the taste is horrible. How much do I add? How do you add it to soups and other liquids?
  2. Thanks for all of the well wishes! This is post-op day five. I started walking down three houses and back inside on day 3 and have increase a house each day. Up and out with sisters getting pedicure. Just can't remember to sip water as often as possible. For breakfast I had 3 oz of chicken broth and half cup coffee.
  3. Got my sleeve on Monday morning. I had vey little pain the first night sore throat asked fur meds for nausea before hand. Rested well other that the hospital staff checking vitals every 15-30 minutes. I not complaining welcomed their concerns. I did have a problem with voiding on day two. They drained it somehow, and gave me some meds. That worked shortly after taking it. I two night because on the voiding issue. Released and learned quickly what sip means and not gulp. It hurt like nothing I've every experienced. My mother has been with my through whole experience ( hospital) no I home with her until next week. She's my life saver. Journaling everything I consume. I know she spoils all of us. Walked outside three times today. Feeling really good. There no stoping me now can't hold me back. My stomach makes this growling sound, not sure why.

  11. How many Optifast are you drinking per day. I have also purchased them and the peanut butter crunch bars. I can't remember how many to drink per day. I'm also on the two week liquid diet.
  12. I met with Dr. Carroll today for my final consultation prior to surgery. Had a good visit and I'm beginning to feel better about my decision. Start the liquid diet Sunday for two weeks prior to surgery date. This is going to be a great challenge for me. I can manage during the day while at work, but after work is most difficult part. I normally cook dinner every other day for family. Guess, I have to cook stuff ahead of time for them.
  13. Great news! I'm meeting with Dr. Carroll this afternoon for the final consultation prior to surgery. My surgery date is July 29th. I start the two week liquid diet Sunday. I'm very excited and nervous about the procedure. OH! I'm from Jackson MS.

  20. Thanks, I've received my surgery date - August 5th. I can't believe it. Don't know how to explain it to my family. My sisters keep telling me I don't need to have the procedure done. On the other hand they complain when I tell the how bad my knees hurt. They don't have a clue. I am also older then both. They keep saying if you walk you'll loose weight. If it was that simple I wouldn't be here today.

  22. Just received surgery date August 5. I was hoping for something sooner. I won't complain at this point.
