I have been battling gastritis...inflammation of the stomach. Lots of nausea, bloating, I found that many foods would cause me to have reflux. Stomach ulcers. Hopefully, the horse pills (2 different antibiotics and an acid reducer three times a day) will resolve all of this! I was just sleeved on May 8, so I am currently off of the pills, and will resume sometime after the 23rd.

I found out I had it after my endoscopy! Crazy that it lived there all this time and no one ever figured out that it might be the culprit of my stomach issues! Just another good side effect from this journey! I will be rid of you soon, H-Pylori!

I was sleeved 5/8, and I'm planning to take a month off. I have previously had my gall bladder removed, and my appendix removed - both lap surgeries....and this feels much more aggressive than those surgeries. I might feel up to going back in 2 weeks, but I'm taking the extra time to get used to my new tummy. I want to be successful and learn my new eating habits and go back to work well prepared. I know everyone may not have the ability to take as much time as they want or need, but I just paid $22,500 out of pocket to have this done, and I'm not going to risk 2 weeks one way or another! If you pay attention to your body, you will know when you are ready! Good luck!

Hello. All! I've been so inspired reading threads on VST since February, but this is my first post. My date is May 8th! Excited and nervous, but educated. Ready for a healthier me, but not so ready to shell out all the $$$ --- I'm a self payer! What's your biggest post-surgery concern?
