    I'm not sure where to set my goal as I've had surgery within the last two weeks and am currently dropping almost a pound a day. I know this will slow down soon. Sw: 245 Cw:235 Goal: 210 (?) too little? Thoughts from the pros?

    Yay congrats! I'd keep this goal then if U hit make a new one!!!

    Well... It seems like everyone did really well- a lot made goal- some were close/ others maintained - but we all made progress in own way!!!!!

    I will report back soon with my last weigh in!!

    Hi!!

    So you will put a starting weight in Monday (or now if ud like) and a goal for Labor Day -then each Monday til Labor Day (or the day u remember) u put your weight that day-

    Alright, so there is now a Labor Day challenge thread going now. Feel free to add your name to the list for this next challenge. Also, as Bea prepares for her new life across the globe, let's thank her for everything she has done to keep us on track and inspire us. I for one know that often these challenges have been the one motivating factor for me in my life. Thank you Bea. Also...I need a crash course on how to post links and how to post that thread link on his one. Or can someone else do that for me? ;)

    Several people have volunteered to be cheerleaders and supporters. I suggest you go ahead and start a new thread for the next challenge. That way we can point people to it (by putting a link in here) and they can get ready for the next go 'round. Thanks so much for volunteering!

    You are awesome- as far as I know- no one has- I volunteered to 'cheerlead' everyone but I am naive in regards to the spreadsheet and technology--

    I was hoping the next would be a Labor Day challenge .... Fingers crossed

    I am a bit overwhelmed with work these days as I prepare to relocate to the Middle East. I will be taking a leave of absence from my regular job for 9 months in order to 1) complete my PhD, and 2) do something I've always wanted to do...teach in a university classroom. I am currently jumping through hoops in order to prepare my company for my leaving as well as meeting all of the strict requirements for working overseas. I will be working at the Texas A&M Qatar campus and couldn't be more excited. There are drawbacks, of course, including a serious cut in pay (I'll be making 1/7th of my current salary, and I'm the primary breadwinner!) Also, my husband will not be coming with me for this assignment, although we are hoping we can plan a trip for him to come for a visit around Christmas. I'm telling all of this to let you know that I will not be able to manage the data for another challenge after this one. While I've had a heck of a lot of fun with these, I am just a bit overwhelmed at the moment and need to take a break. I hope that someone from this group will pick up the baton and run with it. I'm hoping someone will come up with some new ideas for the group, some new and exciting ways to keep people active, motivated, and engaged. I will miss this part of my week, this checking up on everyone and marking the group's progress, but I am in need of a break and can't figure a way around it. Can't wait to find out who is going to volunteer to take the lead next! Thanks so much, Bea
